  1. Will look into a quote once everything settles out from the arrival of our daughter. Hopefully get back to you in a day or two
  2. Reading Zahn's "Outbound flight" right now and maybe it's cause I'm nickle and diming it but I'm not all that interested in it. I've loved all of Zahn's "Thrawn" stories before but this one is just exciting. I like the "rebirth of thrawn" in specters/visions set, which I think I'll reread after I finish outbound. Anderson's short stories are a good read but the Jedi Academy one felt a lil too predictable. I liked them alot but saw just about every plot twist and development before they happened. I dunno just my random thoughts
  3. Insurance isn't done by the size of the package but by the declared value or worth of the item. It was $1.30 to insure a package for $50 that we had mailed yesterday. Just am not sure of the difference between shipping domestically or overseas especially if there are customs fees involved.
  4. Hell don't feel because you have the money and you want something. Value is only determined by the holder of the particular item. I don't blame anyone if something supposed worth more than what I intend to pay. Granted I haven't crossed too many auctions against you but it is only a game and I wouldn't bid on most of he auctions that get poated here just because the wife and I don't wanna see a fellow AAer pay more for an auction when most times it's just going to some reseller. And I'm sorry that people feel that they than extort you for more money. Money corrupts people and they feel like they can get over on nice people and you are absolutely one of the nicer guys here. and re the pepsi invader, chciky summed up my thoughts. WAY overpriced IMHO, I'd guess more in the $750-900 range. But epay is a total crapshot anyway. It is just a shame that it is someone just selling the game for $$. If that was my fgamily member it would be something I'd hold on to just so I could always look at it and smile and think of them, especially after they are gone. But call it "sympathy hormones" it would have way more value that way to me. If being that much a diehard COKE person was their life, couldn't think of a better way to remember them.
  5. Only a few paperbacks left and a few Hardbacks
  6. While unpacking the rest of my boxes of books I came across a few more extra copies -Force Heretic II - Refugee -Yoda Dark Rendezvous -Dark Nest I - The Joiner King
  7. See I actually liked "courtship" because of the whole witches of dathomir. And how the were a "lil dark side" without the evil angle. Plus I loved the vision of someone actually riding a Rancor like a pet
  8. The paperbacks are on hold but the hardback books are in great condition and still available
  9. I've read just about all the books out there and I did like the Han Solo trilogy. Han was always my favorite character(obviously) so I had no problems whatsoever "getting into" those books. I remember reading the first and eagerly awaiting the second and third in the series
  10. RE: Truce Nah I think you might be a little confused. But trying to remember to remember which one you are talking about.
  11. Nice auctions, especially the lots. Hopefully they end up going to some good homes
  12. Despite not being a huge fan of the "clone wars era" I found that Shatterpoint was very enjoyable and one that I was very happy to read and at some point maybe even re-read. I liked the backstory and insight to the Hutt mindset that Darksaber offered. Truce is one of those books where even after a 3rd read I still find little bits that I missed in previous reads
  13. If you get a chance shoot me a PM with your addy.
  14. Jeff, She is a beaute, and the envy of quite a few around here. And that is one helluva story. Must get better with every retelling.
  15. Just a FYI it might help if you listed a asking price, or a few more details. Is it dipswitch, or menu driven?
  16. Vote as often as I'm on-line, but rarely do I have anything really worth while to add other than yeah mee too or nah. So I try not to add those type of posts
  17. We also fall guilty of this, we had quite a nice collection of X-box games before we had a system and some gamecube demos as well before we got our cube. I try not to end up with any games for systems we don't own(yet) but somehow it always seems to happen
  18. We bought ours off Yahoo Auctions. Ours can be a bit touchy as far as playing games on the road goes but we love it and would recommend picking one up if the price is reasonable. Also the finish can be prone to scraping off. Sometimes you can find ones that are less expensive but an imperfect finish if cost is an issue and try to find them in the states to avoid having to import them since overseas shipping can be rough on systems in our opinion.
  19. Wasn't this the same game you were so intent on selling like 2 months ago for like $60?? If it is still around @ $10 shipped let me know
  20. Not my words but I couldn't say it better. It is not worth $600 but I am a sucker for new systems. I will be leaving in about 2 hours to pick one up. No waiting in line, No pre-order, No pre-planned attack. But in a little over 3 hours I will be playing mine. Just saw your post and was wondering if those Mad Max games ever went out? Funny though that the only time few to no people were camping was for a pre-order at GS or EB. In fact many places who will be getting 6 systems for pre orders had maybe 3 people in line waiting then. ... Hubbs & Wiff
  21. I think a 26/52/7800 based system would invoke more memories and sense of nostalgia from the casual gamer which is more likely the target demographic. I think an A8 computer model would be neat but don't think it would sell as well. But any Curt & Mike product will have a welcomed place in our home
