-^Cro§Bow^- I just wanted to thank you, I had never thought to look at the voltage regulator. The orginal grease had dried up and was all cracked so I opened up the system and added some white lithium grease to the spot where it was orignally and flipped the polarity a few times and got it to power up and play games with lil to no problems. Thanks, Z28in82

I won a 7800 on Ebay and it had no power supply so i posted here and read about splicing a 2-pin power supply from a computer to a 9 VDC 800 mA, adaptor which I did and when I tried this creation I didn't get power the led wouldn't turn on and all I did get was a "pop" and a small trail or smoke. Is there anything I can do to save this system? Thanks, Z28in82

I've never owned an atari and recently picked up a 7800 (W/O power) but I was looking and saw that there was a switch on the back with one side having a circle and the other having a square, what does that do? Thansk in advance, Shaun

it was said by 10270 You can use the 2-pin connectors that are found on the inside of modern computers... Like the ones used for the reset button or power LED. It's a tight fit, but not too tight. I took a universal 1000mA power supply, and spliced one of these connectors into it, and now have a 7800/2600 suitable power supply. I recently picked up a universal from Wal-Mart, [email protected], and tons of different connectors, for about $10. I was wondering is there a particular 2 pin to use, I have been looking and can't find one. So any suggestions would be apperiated. Thanks

What mods would you like to see on a "new" 7800?
z28in82 replied to Atari 7800.com's topic in Atari 7800
First and formost I'd love to see a common power supply. I bought a 7800 and the power was shot. So now I have an Atari and no way to play . I am new to the world of Atari, growing up I was a C64 and Odyssey2 Brat but my roommates got me into atari and now I'm stuck with a pretty much dead system. SecondlyS-cable or at least RCA plugs would be nice, I love my tangled mess of Y-connectors behind my TV and would trade them for anything. Just the thoughts of a Newbee, take'em or leave'em Shaun -
Help! I'm new to Atari's and picked up a 7800 but the power supply is non-existant. So I have been trying to find supply somewhere or even a suitable replacement from an electronic store. any help would be apperiated. Thansk in advance, Shaun
