  1. Yeah but...everyone has a different answer...that's to be expected of course but I was hoping that someone may have created a poll or something to combine many different sets of opinions to try and distill the games that a large number of people all agree are great. I liked the poll at the top because he used a point system to come up with the rankings, but if can come up with something better go for it. AA members love to vote for their favorite games.
  2. Ohhhhh, now that does sound interesting. Maybe like Ouija for the 2600? I just might bid on that one.

  4. Maybe you can trade your Air Raid cart for it. (BTW, this kinda stuff goes in the Marketplace>Auction Central forum)

    Dolphin!

Definitely a unique title. If you like that one, try out Fathom by Imagic. It is another unique dolphin game with a surprising amount of depth.
  6. Well, at least you didn't lose THAT vote.
  7. Titles like that really should read, "How to win at Popular Video Games. For Unpopular People." Hmmmm, come to think of it Cebus, you should bid on that one.
  8. I honestly don't get it. They are being super anal with you, yet there have been two auctions where myself and others on AA have complained to eBay that they were repros being sold as originals, and eBay did nothing.
  9. Nice job! I remember the first time I did it, it was like FINALLY! That last bit with the swarm of condors and bats got pretty frustrating. Super fun game.
  10. The new Flashback 2+ are on eBay now: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 280490023041

Damn, Homer, that is pretty harsh even if you are just kidding (which I definitely hope and assume you are). Let's hug it out big guy. Doughnut?
  13. While not scientific, I decided to compare other R5 games to see how many are listed on eBay. I tried to take a cross section of different companies with a recognizable game. HERO 4 Time Pilot 0 Artillery Duel 7 Beamrider 1 Megamania 5 Snoopy and the Red Baron 2 Laser Gates 5 King Kong 3 Dragonstomper 0 (I am thinking this has become more of an R6 or 7) Bump N Jump 6 Crash Dive 4 Cross Force 4 Marine Wars 3 Star Wars Arcade Game 1 Montezuma's Revenge 1 Based on my random sampling, I would expect that an R5 game would have roughly 3-6 games listed on eBay under normal circumstances. I have been watching Motorodeo for the past couple months and 6 is the *fewest* I have seen, and 13 is the highest. Currently there is 9, with one just selling today.
  14. JC is the man. So over the past 5 years, more then 2 per month has been sold and paid for. That is a pretty solid run and definitely not a "Rare" title since there has been and still is a constant supply available. Right now there are 9 available for sale or bid ranging in prices from $9.99 to $99.99. Homer mentions the Venezuela seller, but there are currently 3 different sellers from Venezuela selling these. I wonder if there is any connection between the 3 and if they are getting them from the same source. Leads me to believe there is a lot more of them coming.
  15. That is a new one: 19 bids and the bid amount is still exactly one cent.... Good luck with your auction. Any monkeys included with this lot?
  16. HA HA, my bad, you are right. It is three games. Well, not as bad, but still thinking this cart has fallen from an R10 to now probably a 3 or 4. Ya it's getting to where this is gonna have to be adjusted in the guide to a R3 as even being able to call it a R5 is pretty misleading at this point. Do any of the resident statisticians have any idea how many of these have been sold on ebay since the great find? I'm sure there were very many that were also sold off ebay as well. I know thats how i got mine I sent an email to JC at atari2600.com. He should have those stats, let's see if he responds. I am curious too.

Better watch out, Homer, next thing you know the student will become the master
  18. Oddly enough, the exact same item in a legit release is available: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270462193358

  20. I swear, they are going to start giving one away free with every 2600 purchase on eBay. Now they are being sold in a 3-pack for $15: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150431046071 There are 7 Motorodeo auctions running now on eBay. This has been going on for a while and not showing any signs of slowing up. EDIT: brandonwrite correctly points out that it is 3 carts not a 3 pack. Always read the fine print, right?
  21. Love it I know it has been beaten to death in the 8 bit forum, but maybe some members on the 2600 side haven't seen the Moon8, The Dark Side of the Moon in 8-bit:
  22. I have been trying to find interesting auctions the past few days, and everything is pretty common. The best I can come up with is Smurf Saves the Day with all three cassettes (this is the real version, not the repro Hozer is trying to hawk). eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270462193358
  23. That keyboard is pretty cool. I was going back and forth about bidding. It would make a nice display piece in an Atari collection. Glad that an AA member got it.
  24. Interesting. I forgot about the eBay store change, that would account for the good size bump of recent. However, I wouldn't completely discount what ianoid says. There has been a steady rise the past few years, and I am seeing a lot of new sellers enter the market.
