Mailman just came today at work... Nothing yet...
As a side note, I also would like to thank Curt for giving so much to this community. This HSC is a perfect example - knowing that someone wanted $2000 for one on ebay, Curt came in and sold them to us here, most likely close to what it cost him to make them. Most other people would have asked for much more money. It takes a certain type of person to do something like that.
And he's a nice guy to boot... with a lot of patience

I couldn't help myself... I picked up the 12" single (again) and the picture disc =)
They will look nice in my game room

The other wire is a +5V feed. It's needed for the trackball but not the standard controllers

That's a very cool idea of letting the player control one of the dragons

Hey Dennis
If I try just doubleing the bin (to 32K) it doesn't work at all. I expect that, because it's probably a 2 chip 16K setup (like Pac-Man).
When I try doubling the first 8k, and then the last 8k (which works for Pac-Man) it crashes at the title screen, just as the first explosion starts. This also happens on the AtariMax USB 128 5200 Multi-Cart
I have a 4 port system.

Just as a side note, Corey is *really* great at keeping up the communication. He basically let the pre-orderers know every step of the way what was happening, instead of just leaving us in the cold wondering what was going on. Kudos to him for that, and it is one of the reasons I will continue to buy from him. (Of course the other is just having a great product!)

Thanks
But unfortunately, I just checked their site and TC is not in the list of games any more.

Actually I fixed 3 bugs in that game:
1) The flashing of the monsters (when they turn back from being blue) to match the arcade - check out the '1st Apple' level to see what I mean. In the original 5200 version, they only flash once.
2) The speed increase happens on the board *after* it was supposed to. For example again the 1st apple board. On the original 5200 version if you *start* on the 1st apple, the speed in fast (correct). If you work up to the apple, the speed doesn't change from the peach until the 2nd apple.
3) The 'no blue' boards. On the boards where the monsters aren't supposed to turn blue at all, they stay blue forever on the 5200 version. I have fixed this.
I learned all of this while working on the 'Plus' and 'Hangly-Man' versions. The 'Speed Increase' bug had me going crazy for a few days as I though it was something I did while I was modifying it for Hangly-Man. Then I finally said "let me try the original one" and it was there too.

You only brought this back because I did my hack!

Nice pile of 565's you got there too bob
@Shawn Sr.: I had a feeling you would catch that
Actually one side is 565, the other is the type that 'Hat Trick' is on (I forget the number off the top of my head).
@phaxda: Thanks As far as the template, I used MS Publisher for them (the end labels are a little longer than the 'normal' ones, so I didn't use Corey's labels for these). If that's ok let me know and I'll give the template.

Thanks guys - that explains things.
I guess that's why nobody tried to get a 16K eprom re-wired on a standard 16K Atari cart.

Hello:
I was looking at a 16k board, and a thought came to me: I see just the main ROM on the board, and no smaller chip that contains the bank switching code. (I think it's called a GAL?)
Assuming that the bins contain all the information found in the ROM, where is the bank-switching code in an actual cartridge?
Thanks

BTW, with those Red Octane Joysticks... I used the insides of one to put in the Radica Space Invaders stick... I was able to get 4 buttons out of the thing.
For those of you that found out the the button actually maps to button '2' on the PC... It is because the PCB is labeled wrong! 'Left' is actually 'Right' and vice-versa. It's just a different type of ground going to the same 4 directionals to get the button, so you can get 4 buttons out of the thing. (I only used three for the Radica; 'A', 'B', and the small 'menu' button.)
So it ends up being pretty useful... I now have a 7800 Radica SI joystick and a USB PC one!

Thanks
I just (yesterday) got a Sealed Impossible Mission for 24.95 + shipping, and I just won a bid for the Standard Label version of Tomcat.
So the only one left is that damn Tank Command. I have adjusted the topic title accordingly.
Thanks again,

Hi:
I recently got mine, and I have to admit I haven't looked much at it yet. We've just had two people quit at work and I've been putting in 12+ hours daily (normally it's just 10+ hours) so when I get home I don't want to even look at a computer...
I plan on learning it, though - I would like to get into programming original games for the 7800... Or at least converting some Coin Ops...

Does anybody know that there was a 12" extended version of PMF? (Yes, I had it back in the day)
BOTH sides were instrumental, and the 'club version' was something like 5:25 and just repeated the music for the verse again... Side 'B' was just the standard length instrumental version.
I remember buying it, hoping it would have more Pac-Man sound effects in it!

Thanks, MMF... That would be great
... I know I'm not the only one looking, but I figured because I was able to take one game off of the list (there were four originally), I would bump it

I am not sure if there would be enough demand for a small production run (25-50pcs). I have enough parts to build two more, but I would want to send those
to 2 beta testers to make sure all the game & controller combinations would be
verified. I don't think that the resale price would be a whole lot more than a standard redemption controller assuming that the buyer already had a trakball unit to upgrade.
Sign me up for one!

Thanks, man - my stuff came in today

Can't get the 5200 version to run on the real thing.
It keeps crashing, no matter how I store it in the eprom.
(damn)

That looks soooo cool - very good work!

Yes, all of the Pac-Man hacks have their own High Score entry (Pac-Man, Hangly Man, Ms. Pac-Attack, Pac-Man Plus, Dual Pac-Man)
I just realized I didn't change two of them: Ms. Pac-Man (Fast), and Pac-Pollux The Ms. Pac-Man Fast will read the same as regular Ms. Pac-Man, and Pac-Pollux will read the same as Pac-Man.
Oh well - it's too late now
@Curt - no problem now you got me *very* curious!
