  1. Just as a side note, I picked up an R/C battery from Radio Shack, 7.2 Volts, 2000 mA, and I've been running the FB2 all day so far (I'm home sick from work - spent most of the night in the bathroom - but we don't need to go there) since about 7:00 this morning (it's now 1:30) and it has not shown any signs of getting weak. I believe when I buy the FB2 that has the Quadrun voice, I'll mod that one instead for the Cart Port and the battery :)

    Hint:

Starman (Mike) is *very* close to figuring out how to access the extra games - didn't you guys notice that left and right are used already to move the menu? :P

  2. I think it's time for me to go back to Ms. Pac-Man - My highest is 227K on a standard machine (it's in MARP) and I'm sure I can get past that. My only thing is I have to learn how to deal with the monsters once you get to the equivalent of the '9th key' in Pac-Man (where they get faster than you - even when you're not eating dots). My strategy in all of the Pac games has always been to keep them behind me; not a good one once they move at that speed :-P

  3. I have a Cuttle Cart 2, and I love it :)

But after using it a while, I started thinking that I would like to have a way to 'reset' the 7800 without using the power button constantly...

Are there any traces in the 7800 I can hijack to create a 'reset' button that will do the same as turning the power off and on?

    Thanks in advance

    Bob

  4. Hyper Ms. Pac-Man?  I'll have to do a search for that one...

I was actually thinking of making a two player version of Pac, where one player controls Pac (like normal), and the other controls Blinky (the other monsters will do their normal thing)...  Don't know how difficult that would be, or if anyone would want it...

It was an arcade hack where Ms. Pacman was sped up and the ghosts were kept the same speed as before. There was also an arcade hack of Pacman where both Pacman and the ghosts were sped up quite a bit.

OH! I thought that was the actual title:

Because there is such a thing as Hyper Pac-Man :)

FireTiger - good idea! let the player pick which monster (s)he wants to play as... :) I may start this after all... Too bad this isn't the 4 port 5200 - three other players against you! :D

  5. Looks awesome.  I'm looking forward to the finished product!

*Is holding out for hyper Ms. Pacman.

Thanks, Shaggy, remowilliams, feralstorm, and sku_u :)

Actually 'Asteroids Ve' is about as finished as I can get it.

If you don't touch the joystick, your ship will continue flashing if there is a rock about to hit you... How long it waits depends on if there are any rocks in your vicinity, so that code actually is already there.

  6. Hey guys...

While I've received multiple requests for this, I just can't get them all together - there are too many subtle differences between them; especially Plus, Hangly, and Ultra...

    :(

Thank you very much, though, for the thought

  7. Would you belive I have spent quite some time on that and I can't find it?

The 'thrust' part of the graphic is actually always there, but the program turns the color of it between black and (some shade of) red depending on if the button is pressed or not. I have found that it is stored in $E9, but I can't find where it's changed! :(

  8. You are better off using a 'Hat Trick' board for two reasons:

    1) It's more common, and

    2) It takes an EPROM without modification (just unsolder the existing chip and put the eprom in it's place), whereas on a Ms. Pac-Man board you'd have to add an inverter chip

    Thanks :)
