How long shoud I wait b4 reporting a problem to ebay/paypal?
PacManPlus replied to PacManPlus's topic in Auction Central
Thanks for the advice - I will do that. -
I won a bid a little over a week ago: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8137671133&rd=1 I paid immediatly with PayPal. Since then I have e-mailed the seller 3 times (twice using eBay and once directly through e-mail). I have not heard from this person as of yet. I am getting a little uncomfortable, as I've paid him a good amount of money. I believe I should at least get a 'I got your payment, and I'm sending it out soon' reply e-mail or something. This is just good business practice. He has fairly good feedback, so I didn't feel that I had too much to worry about Should I wait another week, two weeks, etc. before I actually file a complaint? It looks like PayPal allows up to 30 days to file. Again, at least if he tells me *something* I would feel better, but at this point I have received no notification of anything. What do you guys think? P.S. - This would really suck if this comes to some sort of 'battle' because I've always made sure my feedback is spotless, and you know if something starts he will give a retaliatory negative comment. Thanks everyone.

For Sale or Trade: 5 Sega Genesis, 5 Cntrls, 2 PS, 6 games
PacManPlus replied to PacManPlus's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Ahh crap - yes Genesis Thanks Mr.King - that's how much I follow Sega systems :-/ I will fix the title now -
I have acquired 5 SEGA Genesis systems, along with 6 games: NFL Football '94 Bare Knuckle Super 3 in 1 (Turbo Outrun, World Cup '92 World Cup Soccer) Champions World Class Soccer Steel Empire Tiger ? (Not sure, it has no case) I can't get it to start There are two more cartridges pictured which I no longer have - the cart with the yellow tab on it (NBA Playoffs), and an unknown one (the other one without a case and no writing on it) The cartridges have to be played with to get to work (taken in and out multiple times), but they all seem to work eventually, except for the one with no case. It has some writing on it, I may be putting it in wrong? There also are 5 controllers, and one of them does not respond too well (it probably just needs to be cleaned) The only one I can test was the rear left one in the picture, because it was the only one that had an RF out. The others have some sort of special cable that I don't have. There are only 2 power supplies (the only two given to me). I would like to sell / trade them all together. If buying, asking best offer for everything (plus shipping). If you are trading, I am looking for a bunch of common Atari picture label games (especially although not limited to 3-D Tic Tac Toe, Miniature Golf... any Picture label cart that was once released as a text label). Thanks!

If Asteroids had come out just a year earlier...

Just a speculation on what a text label Asteroids cart would have looked like... (I'm in between repairing our Microsoft ISA server, and I got to thinking...)

WANTED: Picture Label Mini golf and 3-D Tic Tac toe
PacManPlus replied to PacManPlus's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Hey Kenwood: There actually was - I've seen it Although I believe it was PAL only. http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...re+golf+picture Look at Tempest's post, and then MattyXB actually posted a link to it on ebay (which unfortunately doesn't work any more) Thanks guys! -
Hi: I am looking for a Picture Label version of Miniature Golf and Picture Label 3-D Tic Tac Toe... Does anybody have any they would want to trade/sell with me? I'll even take PAL format. The ones I made my own labels for just don't cut it in my opinion. I want real ones. I am trying to get all Picture Label Games - I'm very anal that way (no jokes, please) Thanks!

Confusion about putting eproms in existing circuit boards...
PacManPlus replied to PacManPlus's topic in Hardware
Thanks CPUWIZ That seems to be more trouble than it's worth :-/ (Which I guess is why the boards were made). -
Hi: When you go to the Store for the eprom boards, it reads "for people who don't want to go through the hassle of de-soldering existing boards"... I'm confused about that - the chips in the original games don't match the number of pins on the eporms... and I'm guessing the pinouts don't match either. I've also heard on another thread about using a Dig Dug cart for the ram, but again it doesn't look like you can just put an eprom in place of the original chip... What am I missing? Thanks in advance

very cool - glad you liked it I really wanted to be there for this, I hope I can make the next one...

Hi: I have extra overlays for: Defender (1) Centipede (2) MissileCommand (1) Space Invaders (1) Qix (2) Galaxian (2) PM me if interested. I don't want anything for them, they are just sitting around here not being used. BUT, I won't split them up. I don't mind paying a little postage once, but not 4 or 5 times over. So if you don't want all of them please let someone else who does get them. First one to PM me gets them.

PacManPlus replied to PacManPlus's topic in Atari 5200 Hacks
Sorry to sound dense, but is that code you inserted for the 8-bit or the 5200? I was looking where to insert it, and I noticed that $4000 is out of the range of the cart. Also, it looks like location $20 and $21 might be different: ;Reserved 5200 locations: ;00 POKMSK ;Mask for Pokey IRQ enable ;01 RTCLOK ;60 hz. clock ;03 CRITIC ;Critical section ;04 ATRACT ;Attract Mode ;05 SDLSTL ;DLISTL Shadow ;06 SDLSTH ;DLISTH Shadow ;07 SDMCTL ;DMACTL Shadow ;08 PCOLR0 ;COLPM0 Shadow ;09 PCOLR1 ;COLPM1 Shadow ;0A PCOLR2 ;COLPM2 Shadow ;0B PCOLR3 ;COLPM3 Shadow ;0C COLOR0 ;COLPF0 Shadow ;0D COLOR1 ;COLPF1 Shadow ;0E COLOR2 ;COLPF2 Shadow ;0F COLOR3 ;COLPF3 Shadow ;10 COLOR4 ;COLBK Shadow ;11 PADDL0 ;POT0 Shadow (Stick 1X) ;12 PADDL1 ;POT1 Shadow (Stick 1Y) ;13 PADDL2 ;POT2 Shadow (Stick 2X) ;14 PADDL3 ;POT3 Shadow (Stick 2Y) ;15 PADDL4 ;POT4 Shadow ;16 PADDL5 ;POT5 Shadow ;17 PADDL6 ;POT6 Shadow ;18 PADDL7 ;POT7 Shadow ;Program Space ;20 Used by DLI code ;21 Game Phase ;22 Selected number of players ;23 Selected level ;24 Causes READY to display ;25 Set to FF - as above ;26 Some sort of timer (872A) ... I'm just asking because I don't quite understand... Is the memory map I have wrong? -

Finished! Hangly-Man for 5200 v0.4 Complete w/ 2nd maze
PacManPlus replied to PacManPlus's topic in Atari 5200 Hacks
The difference? 16K. J/K - Some people have issues getting the 16K version to run... For instance, to put it on a cart it's just easier to work with the 32K version. But working with (hacking) the game, the 16K version is less confusing. This is because the image is not just doubled. The first 8K is doubled, and then the last 8K is doubled. -

PacManPlus replied to PacManPlus's topic in Atari 5200 Hacks
This is unbelievable. I just spent almost two days on this bug (the speed bug), pulling my hair out because I couldn't figure out what it was that I did to cause it... And then I thought, "let me just try the original one and see what happens". Guess what? the bug is in the original game. I even tried the original *cartridge* and it's there too. Anyway, I'll be posting the fixed (the screen garbage) binary tomorrow. I would like to try and clean it up a little first. Bob -

PacManPlus replied to PacManPlus's topic in Atari 5200 Hacks
Thanks Steve Well, I believe I fixed that issue, (just by adding zeros to the bottom line). But now, I noticed another bug: The game is not speeding up the players after completion of each level. (the Peach -> Apple flow is where it's most noticable; the apple starts of the same speed as the Peach). Only when you die does the speed correct itself. If you start the game on the Apple, however, the players are the correct speed (which is why I didn't notice it before) I've already been looking at this one for hours, and I am giving up for today. I'm thinking about starting from scratch again. -

Wow - that's odd... I've been playing it only on my real 5200 lately and that hasn't happened to me... How did you get that to occurr? -
