  1. I just got back into Atari last year and bought an Atari 7800. In one year I've acquired 151 games (141 boxed & 11 loose). I have 30+ 7800 games and the rest are all 2600 games. I just have to find the time to play all of them!

    Flag Capture

Sort of interesting: I have two copies of Flag Capture, one is text label w/red lettering & the other is a text label w/green lettering(it came in a green box). Atari must have done all kinds of things in the factories back in the day.
  3. I guess this could be considered the flipside to the disappointing games thread. There will probably be games people will list here that others hate, but hey, to each their own, right? 3D Tic-Tac-Toe I like this one alot and find it challenging. Having four planes at an angle forces you to think outside the traditional box. Addicting. Othello This is a lot of fun and, like 3D Tic-Tac-Toe, I always find myself saying "Just one more game." Human Cannonball Simple and enjoyable. RealSports Tennis RealSports Volleyball There's alot more of course, but I'm just going off the top of my head and will add more later on. You can probably tell from the first few games I listed that I have a fondness for the early titles. Even though the graphics aren't very good compared to the box art, they force you to use your imagination. I find more replay value and fun in the old Atari games than any of the new stuff today.

    Dust Covers

Does anyone remember the Atari console dust covers back in the early eighties? They weren't too common, but I remember having one back then. Not the big plastic boxes, but similar to the flexible ones many of us had for our VCRs back in the day. With all of the homebrew games being developed and sold by AtariAge, it would be cool if they started selling dust covers for our game consoles. A nice Atari logo on them. I think they would sell a bunch. I would certainly buy one. AtariAge?
  5. I am looking for good/decent condition boxes for the following 2600 games: Flag Capture Outlaw Hangman Fast Eddie Kaboom! Crackpots Pressure Cooker Zaxxon Mr. Do! Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel's Castle Thanks and cheers
  6. Does anybody have any good suggestions for removing old store price stickers from game boxes? I have a Sears Tele-Games Haunted House in great condition, except for an old Sears price tag smack dab in the middle on the box front, half torn off with a little bit of the box color gone. I'm not concerned about reselling (it's for my personal use) or anything, I just hate the sticker right in the middle of the front picture.

    Cart cleaning

What kind of glue should I use to reattach the end label?

    Cart cleaning

The end label on my text label Codebreaker cart decided it wanted to come off. It came off in one solid piece, which is good. There's a little bit of adhesive residue on the back of the label and some clear residue on the end of the cart. What is the best way to remove the residue and re-attach? What kind of cleaner and what kind of adhesive glue? I was thinking a tiny bit of Goo Gone but I'm not sure, so I figured I'd ask those who have experience in doing it, as I don't want to ruin anything. Thanks alot!
  9. I grew up in Amsterdam, NY, where Coleco was based. If I had any Idea back in the 80's(or whenever Coleco went under), I could have probably found a virtual goldmine of carts. I could have done some dumpster diving. My aunt also worked for them at one point back in the day. If only I had known, but I was in high school and had moved on to other interests.

    New to Forum

Hello All, I'm new to the forum although I've been lurking around a bit. I recently found my way back to Atari after a very long absence. I received a 2600 back in 1979 for a x-mas present and was thrilled of course, because Atari was the best thing going. I remember having tons of games and playing it all the time. It was great if I stayed home sick from school, becuase that meant an entire full day of playing games. Well, a bit later, once I was in junior high, I lost interest and moved on to other things. I remember my mom selling the 2600 and everything in a garage sale when I was in college. This past year I acquired a 7800 and have been having a great time. I have a mix of 2600 and 7800 games. It's fun going back and getting 2600 games I remember having as a kid, as well as ones I didn't have. All the 7800 games are pretty new to me, so I'm learning those. Cheers! Rojd
  11. I don't have any super-rare carts( I recently found my way back to Atari this past year ), but here are some off the top of my head: 2600- Fast Eddie Defender II Alien BMX AirMaster 7800- Xenophobe Fatal Run Midnight Mutants
