Last night, my wife and I had to make the most difficult decision of our marriage, if not our entire lives. We put my pup, Daisy, to sleep.

I carried her in my arms from the place in which I adopted her ~10 and 1/2 years ago at 9 weeks old.

She was in my arms as she was put to sleep. We loved her so...she will always be missed.

  RIP Daisy! Don't rush yourself through the grief as it is Very real. I still get pangs over a Raven, a poodle I only lived with for a year or so and whom we had to put down at 16 3.5 years ago. Miss her every day. Pets are the best.
