  1. Looks like H.E.R.O. is in the same boat as Solaris Interesting with this one: I blew up the wall and the wall reappeared in the "bugged" area (That's what the actual snapshot is displaying - The "reappeared" wall]. However, you can walk right thru it to the next board. -Trebor
  2. aawwww...shucks...looks like to Solaris bug is one that has to wait for the TIA rewrite: -Trebor
  3. I'm glad it's official now Great to see the release! Thanks Stephena!
  4. *Please* do. I hate self-installs. I like the self customized option of an emulator zipped. Zip file for me
  5. Whoops: http://www.retrogames.com/cgi-bin/wwwthrea...;sb=7#Post84074 But I updated here: http://www.retrogames.com/cgi-bin/wwwthrea...;sb=7#Post84082 Again, sorry stephena. However, it appeared as a public release to me. -Trebor
  6. Full-Screen. Confirmed. D?!m, I don't do nearly enough testing with software mode in Windows (I always use OpenGL). To anyone else reading this thread, please don't spread word of the release until I post a message. This release wasn't supposed to be public yet (you'll notice the webpage hasn't been updated). Sorry, stephena. As you know I am not on an beta testing team or group for Stella. I did not realize this was not a public release. It appeared to be a public release. The notification I received was from yesterday as well. -Trebor
  7. EDIT: Thread delete - or at least edited - Per request of stephena. A beta build went public mistakenly by stephena. Much to look forward to in the near future though -Trebor
  8. You are correct. Inky is the one...lol. Blinky is fine. Anyhow, the greenish color is growing on me more everytime I play. Although deep down inside I do wish he were more blue
  9. It's simple: Great product. Needs to be supported. Plus you're a great asset to the community. I very much appreciate your professionalism and attitude. -Trebor
  10. Please...no need to thank me. Thank *you*. It would be a great disservice for people not to know about your excellent work and fantastic product. Although...I do still disagree on Blinky *Note to Albert: Come on, bud...Get this product on the main/front page!!! -Trebor
  11. Get it here: http://www.atariage.com/store/index.php?ma...products_id=849 -Trebor
  12. Cool. How long has it been on sale? I've been checking (Doing a search on the store inventory) everyday. Last night (~21:00 EST), I did not see it on sale yet. Just purchased today (~7:00 EST). Interestingly, the catalog page says it was added on Tuesday, December 5th. That's probably when the page was first created. Regards, Trebor

  15. WOW! The post received a fast response, thanks to R. Belmont. Here's his reply: "MacMESS is presumably in the same boat as MacMAME where Aaron's rat-a-tat-tat updates broke it. SDLMESS is the only up-to-date MESS that runs on the Mac right now". Hope you can get SDLMESS up and running, Albert.

  17. Subject says most of it, but leaves out the *HUGE* thanks to Nabuko78 for his work on the 7800 palette. *BIG* thank you to Mitch too for getting this pushed into MESS. I have been waiting years to see a better palette in MESS, and thankfully we now have it. See the history behind this great work here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...95498&st=25 Grab the latest MESS here... http://www.mess.org/download.html ...and see Atari 7800 games like: Xenophobe, Double Dragon, Donkey Kong, Ms. Pac-Man and others looking better than ever under MESS! -Trebor
  18. OUTSTANDING!!! I cannot wait for the next MESS release! This is the best thing to happen for Atari 7800 emulation progress in a long time. Thank you, Mitch! And of course a *huge* thanks to Nabuko78 for sharing his talents (And palettes...lol) with the community! -Trebor
  19. Wow. Thanks for your patience and testing this for me. I really appreciate your generosity and kindness. It was extra considerate of you to even post pictures for me, thanks again! Sooo...although I still believe the color choice is too green (You wouldn't mind trying $AB would you...lol. Apparently, the palette colors are much more blue [Or sometimes called cooler/cool temp], on your actual TV)...where do I buy this work of art? With box/without box, manual/no manual...I'll take it! Even if this was the worst hack I have ever seen (And thankfully it is one of the *best* instead), I would purchase this just for the sake of all the respect, patience and professionalism you have shown - Not just in this thread or/and just to me, but all your post to everyone. Not to mention the support for the community - This is really fantastic work. Thanks Again, Bob! You da man!
  20. Hi Bob, The palette discussed here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=1179119 Is what will be used in the next version of MESS. Yes, it's that good It appears the current value of Inky is falling somewhere in the range of rows B0 or C0. Can you try changing Inky to row A0, say anywhere between 0xA0 thru 8xA0 (Probably most ideal 4xA0 thru 8xA0), and see how it looks on an actual TV? I bet it will be closer to Arcade accurate colors See the color palette chart here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?a...st&id=64635 I can definitely understand your point in the earlier post about the other color option (Original color) being too light and what you're currently using being darker and closer to the arcade color. However, using a value in the range indicated above [0xA0 thru 9xA0], you'll achieve closer to "Arcade accurate" results -Trebor
  21. Is it possible for you to post to this thread the file(s) you hacked/edited to obtain the better palette for the Atari 7800 emulation? I would really appreciate it. -Trebor
  22. Yeah, that same mess up is evident if you look at Dig Dug too. However, I still thought it was an improvement overall for the majority of the games. That palette is the one based off of the Stella colors (Palette was named new_Stella_NTSC). Fortunately and thankfully, Nabuko78 has generated/created this palette which fixes and works with all colors/hues for all the titles. Hopefully, Mitch's submission to MESS dev will be approved. I can hardly wait! -Trebor

  24. Hi Bob, Again, thanks for the continued reponse(s). I respect your decision. -Trebor
  25. Thanks for the response PacManPlus! I definitely see the change for the better with everything, except Inky. Is it possible to revert back to the original color/hue of Inky as set in the original Ms. Pac-Man released for the 7800? Everything else looks indeed closer to the Arcade version, thanks to your changes Moreover, not just the colors/hues and maze changes make this "hack" (I still have a hard time describing the work you've done as such), closer to the arcade, additionally, thank you as well for incorporating all the different sprite modifications too! Excellent work. -Trebor
