  1. How about the shot of Choplifter! in the commerical clip. It is definitly NOT the Atari 7800 version. It is the typical 'night version' you saw on many other platforms. The Atari 7800 version was more arcade-like with the Day time setting, and larger sprites. Tell you the truth, the Choplifter version they show looks like the C64 version. Ha! -Trebor
  2. Excellent! Thanks, Curt!
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?V...item=1253660999 J/K about the subject Some collection though. Wonder what the final sale bid will be? I wish I had the money for it...
  4. http://www.atari-area.net/PLus/downloads_us.htm New version of Atari 5200/800 emulator, Atari800-Win Plus. Version *2.8* is now the latest version. Here's a little info from Retrogames: "This update features many bugfixes and additions - see the included Help file for a full list. Some of the more interesting features include the ability to save the video stream to an .AVI file, and interpolation/scanline modes for stretched video. It also includes many fixes to improve performance under Windows 2000."
  5. Agreed! Thanks everyone. Always have and always will love ATARI!
  6. Sorry guys. The version I'm using is called Atari800Win PLus. Look to download it here: http://www.zophar.net/a5200.html This version is *2.7b* Other previous versions I tried have problems/issues. This is by far, the latest and greatest, and has the MOST compatibility. Here's the comment from Zophar's: "Atari800Win Plus is a new emulator that is based off the Atari800 kernel and the Atari800Win sources. It features nearly 100% compatability, stereo sound, multiple video modes, support for compressed disk images, and MUCH more." Get it now guys. This is the best 5200 emulator around (IMHO). Here is the emulator home page (Very slow loading though): http://www.a800win.atari-area.prv.pl/ Oh yeah...this should be added to the emulator section too! LOL! -Trebor
  7. I run ME also. I had no problems though. Can you be more specific on the 'missing DLL' file? Additionally, I have Direct X 8 installed as well. Trebor
  8. Sorry, left this out: Atari800Win Site: http://www.concentric.net/~Twist/atari800win/ BTW, someone needs to list this under the Atari 5200 emulation section.
  9. (Finally) Tried Atari800Win emulation of the 5200. I was AMAZED! The only emulator to have Mr. Do's Castle running perfectly. Everything else ran great as well - Except prototypes (IE Jr Pac-Man, Tiny Toons Hotel). Thank you again Atari800Win authors. I've waited a long time for the 5200 version of Mr. Do's Castle to run properly.* Kudos to Dan Boris too. All of his work has been incredible. Both Atari 5200 and 7800 emulation. Thanks again, Trebor *Don't throw stones when I make this statement. ColecoVision's Mr. Do's Castle is better (IMHO)* *However, Atari 5200's version of Popeye is better than ColecoVision's - Ditto with (both) Pitfalls! Atari 5200's version(s) are better than ColecoVision's as well*

    Your Back!!!!

Good to have you back...Scared me for awhile! Trebor
  11. I am THRILLED to see this project. Especially, considering initial effort looks to be taken place on the Atari 7800. Let's here it for complete 7800 emulation!

    Hey, Mitch...

Any chance of posting: Xenophobe Winter Games Tank Command I know you posted that you sent it to Alex a while ago. Any chance at putting it up at your site? Do you have a dump of these games, that you can post as well: Alien Brigade Double Dragon Tower Toppler G.A.T.O. Rampage I'm sorry if I seem pushy or demanding. I'm not trying be. I visit your site at least 2-3 times a day hoping to see the above ROMS. Thanks in Advance, Trebor
  13. Who's laughing??? I LOVED E.T. TOO! Raiders of the Lost Ark, Demom Attack, Taz, Skateboardin', Pitfall!, Pitfall 2, Empire Strikes Back, Solaris, Midnight Magic, Mouse Trap, Kaboom!, Sneak 'n Peek, Megamania, Masters of the Universe...ALL were favorites of mine. -Trebor

    Thanks again Mitch...You Da Man!!!
  15. THANKS MITCH!!! I'll let you know if I hear/see/find any PAL dumps. -Trebor
  16. A while ago, I posted about this on the old boards (2600 Nexus). I am anxiously awaiting this release, so as to FINALLY beat the game (Literally, impossible on the NTSC version). Someone replied back stating that it is not emulated/supported properly yet. However, when it is it would be released. No problem with that. Just curious though: There are other titles that have been made available, dumped, but are not emulated or supported yet. Why these and not Impossible Mission PAL? Again, NOT a complaint. Just curious, and anxiously looking forward in completing the 7800 version of Impossible Mission. Thanks for Reading, Trebor
  17. No doubt...Karateka. Although my first experience was on the Apple IIe, I LOVED this game when it came out for the 7800. I remember purchasing it at Child World. The first time I turned it on, I was in awe. The flashing "karateka", the music, the scrolling opening story, I was amazed. Never did beat it through... -Trebor
