  1. I think it will skip a generation or two.... those of us who actually played it when it was new will die and the hobby will die off a bit, but then 50-100 years from now, Atari will be like finding a Tiffany vase is today... some are good, some are bad, but everyone knows what a classic is.... later!
  2. It ain't $50.01 either! lol -- just wanted to bump ya haha
  3. I agree with this... the relists are bogging it down IMO... but the hunt makes it fun and I have bought several off ctcw... and sold a few too... however, new users won't care, so who knows The trend I hate (and this goes for ebay too) is the listing a single pic of 20 games, but selling one game and having 20 listings all with the same pic... I hate that! hate hate hate! later -JJ
  4. sweet! thanks; I am starting my own personal database of atari items and I just added your pdf now... right on
  5. Anyone seen this one before? New to me... http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM-27...-atari-2600-_JM
  6. http://www.chasethechuckwagon.com/item.cgi...item=0000076252 so uh, I am confused about all this rom "mask" stuff...
  7. Yes, I would believe he has sold that many... there are tons of sealed games from his inventory list on eBay all the time. Plus, I think I have all his listed games sealed that I got from odd lot sales on eBay that I would bet money came from him originally. Anyway, that guy is cool. I want to hang out with him. Love the photo. Damn Irish leprechaun bastard!
  8. I am unfamiliar with pricing this one.... loose, let's see... $700?
  9. If you could make a cart that "saved" games, Basic Programming would be a candidate...
  10. mine is a normal cardboard box inside if no one else posts pics by the end of today, I will rummage thru my closet and pull it out and photog what I have for ya
  11. Exactly. agreed-- my PM has gone unanswered too... oh well
  12. Just to back her up, I have seen the use of the word "atari" in Japanese auctions before... Cheers
  13. Again, he states he only wants a money order. I have nothing against that. What I have a problem with is the listing saying PayPal is accepted, but in his description he says he wants a money order. It is confusing and at best, misleading. Anyway, I reported him again. Really, because I am pretty sure he is passing off junk as being non-junk, and the money order thing is a technicality to get him booted.
  14. reported ; for the money order thing just now
  15. Look at his other auctions... seems kind of odd that he has a bunch of diff carts with the "masking tape" problem.. his feedback sucks too
  16. here he is click to look at his other auctions... he likes to "hide" misc rare carts with "oh, it has a masking tape label on it an dI cannot test it" crap cool guy edit: maybe this should go in the auction forum... my bad
  17. Yeah, except when you do that, you'll lose your PP account altogether since PP specificly forbids in their TOS you going directly to your CC or Bank to dispute charges, you MUST go through them and only them. I filed a CC dispute over a paypal purchase just recently (item never sent) and I ignored PayPal all together. My credit union was happy to help me. WAY easier than dealing with PayPal's dispute resolution bullsh*t. I just called up my credit union, told them I bought something thru paypal and it never showed up. They were happy to stick it to paypal for me. Paypal has never said boo to me, and my account is still active, no problems.
  18. Ends in 20 hours... I am not a TI-99 collector, so maybe someone else will care... a quick google search shows these two are some what rare... TI-99 Rabbit Trail and Henhouse
  19. Those kiosks are ok for me most of the time, but they do not accept media mail and they have restrictions on the minimum purchase (try buying a single stamp). Since there are no longer stamp vending machines, you have to wait in line to buy one stamp. If you want a book of stamps, well, step right up! Annoying too is they do not offer parcel post on the first screen usually... you have to select "show me more options" -- I wonder how many suckers buy the Priority Mail when they don't really need it... Last rant: If I walk up to the clerk and say (very politely too) all in one sentence: "parcel post please, no insurance, no confirmation, no extras, just the cheapest please" they will always say "do you want insurance?" "do you want confirmation?" "for just $2 more you can mail it priority!" etc etc etc It's like talking to a wall...
  20. I just threw down a bid.... hope I git it beyatch!
