  1. Place by me has something like this last summer but now fees have gone up a little.

They only want to sell items worth $75+

$10 charge up front for standard listing without reserve price and they keep this if it does not sell and it is refunded if item does sell

fees were based on final value with somewhat of a structure but for most items selling under 300 it was 25%.

They padded their shipping cost so they could make some extra there and seller got none of that.

And then after they got paid and they got positive feedback the seller would get a check or if no feedback they waited 30 days after shipped to pay.

I would guess their fees for final value have gone up now.

  2. O yes i will take one in a Heart beat. from what I know only 2 boxes have been found to date maybe there are a few others around but when they show up for sale I dont think I will even want to spend that amount of money. I have a cart and manual waiting for the box to go along with the other great repro boxes like tooth protect and 2 starpath games.

  3. I always add insurance on items over $100 at my cost most of the time just to save my ass if a buyer tries to pull a fast one then I would only be out a few bucks. And then other than delivery con. on each package under $100 I take my chances that the buyer wont rip me off. often on New customers I will add insurance on under 100 also.

  4. You have zero to worry about with 2600.com! Great store and guy to buy from. I would guess His program enters a date printed when he makes the postage label and then he drops it off at the post office the next day or something. So give it a chance at least to the end of the week.

  5. The franchises are way over priced and not in line with other stores like gamestops on prices enough to make owning them worth it. For what the owners of the stores have to pay to get into them they could have done way better on their own. Just my 2 cents. I dont like Gamestop at all so any competition is good but for the most part Play n trade wont have much luck.

  7. In our book Classic 80's Home Video Games all 3 variations are pictured. The Pink one is dated 1983 and the box also has pink lettering and border. The other is a little more common dated 83 also however the box lettering is all white. then there is also a cart and box dated 86. Hope this helps you out. If you have not seen the book I have it for sale or you can check your local book store.

  8. I don't think that this price was too much for the box only. The cart is tough to find, the box really really tough. If I didn't have one, I probably would have paid that much for the box/inst without feeling horrible about it. Of course, it's always better to have paid less.

I think the box & instructions are more common than the cart. Remember the same set were used for the C64 too, only with added stickers. I believe someone sold around a dozen or so new BBSB! boxes & docs a few years back at CGE for $100 a pop. I've seen the NIB C64 versions on ebay before too, with this oversized 5200 box hiding under the stickers & shrinkwrap. It's easy enough to fix. Finding the 5200 cart is the tough part.

I do think having the cart in the pictures bumped the bids up, and hope the winning bidder read fully. I would question whether that was even the same box being auctioned or f those pictures were from somewhere else. Why would you leave the cart in the shots?

True my friend. I bought one of those boxes. He had like 20 of em. I think it was 4 jay. He was cool. I got mine in trade. :P But I sold My CIB Bounty Bob a while back, But I still have a cart. :D

If I remember Correctly, I saw Ian buy one to. HHE

I got one that day from 4jays also for $100 that was a rush to his table when the word got out.

  9. I have put a little note in most packages for the last 10 years selling on ebay. Most of the time I leave feedback after the game has shipped unless I got a funny feeling about the buyer.

This is part of my note

"Hi and thanks for winning my Ebay auction.

You timely payment helps me out and positive feedback was left after your game was mailed. I would appreciate some positive feedback after the game arrives. If you have any concerns or problems with the game please let me know.

Our retail store in business since 2002 is located in Fenton Missouri and we can be reached 12-8pm CST Monday –Saturday. 636-349-3113"

And it has a little more info also.

I only still get about 1/3 feedback of items sold. If I decided to pester them I might get more. But Ebays feedback system sucks for the most part.

I with Ianoid on this one. It's a little old school to ask but thats the old way of doing it when feedback was more important to a seller.
