  1. I remember those pics and all the others, you gave her a copy too, right? You went to a convention and had other games signed and gave copies to those people as well. Were all those games in what you would consider a completed state? I had the feeling at the time they were simple hacks you got ready just for this event and made some carts. So are you still working on them and tweaking?
  2. Cool avatar, didn't know The Who was coming to Rockband, gotta get those songs, especially Summertime Blues Live At Leeds, awesome. Some nice stuff for sale, wish I had more money.....
  3. I got the strange 'refresh' thing too. Nice, always wanted one of them.
  4. I know I would buy one from everything said so far. It is on my want list
  5. I can't believe an uncomfirmed copy is going for $800, WTF? Something just isn't right here..........
  6. You people are gonna make me go broke, at least I'll have fun doing it
  7. So did someone just get screwed out of a $55 Quadrun? Would definetly stay far away from this one now.
  8. Wow, so you have to do all the assembly yourself? Even without a heart attack and if you would have gotten the parts last year how in the world did you expect to have all that done by Christmas? How many different contractors did you have to work with? Are the joysticks themselves from the same place that did the ones for FB2? I actually thought you had everything contracted out to a single company and that they were doing all the hard work and sending you a ready to ship product. Thank you for taking the time to post here. It makes the wait not so bad now, it just seemed like you were avoiding this topic for some reason. I think you need to hire a couple day laborers to help you out though.
  9. Okay, just saw the one you were talking about, nice machine. If I had the money to spend I would try to get it for the most $700, maybe a little more......If you can go and get the game that helps too, shipping is a pain, lots of time and money on both ends so that could get you a discount. The advantage of a full size is sturdiness and wow factor. Minis are great for people who don't have a lot of room and don't want to have to move around a beast. Plus they are just kinda cool, Robotron very much so. Anyways, for me I would still try for $500 and not feel bad about $700. Then again if you can do resto work yourself (which this cab mostly is) and are willing to wait you'll get one eventually. It could be your first project It could start a whole new disease for you
  10. I didn't feel too bad once I saw the cart. No end label and the front isn't great, granted my label sucked but Looks great now. That listing though would have made me think hard before bidding much. Mine was a few bucks cheaper but at least the seller had a very good reputation and since most of my collection is displayed end label only I still would have needed a new label.
  11. Sounds like an adult game
  12. They haven't gotten anything (myself included) because he had a heart attack and is a one man operation. Please be patient. I know that and not to be cruel but that was months ago. All I am saying with the updates is he has started quite a few new topics here since then and posted in others so why couldn't he use those few minutes to update all the people whose money he is holding. Think about it, if he really did pre-sell 10,000 units that is almost $150,000. If they were all made and shipped to him why aren't we seeing them? Show me a pic of a stack of sticks, I know I'd feel better.
  13. Spinach Invaders? Popeye Kart?
  14. Where is your scarf? and some flight googles
  15. For the first time in months I finally heard something after getting to him through a pm. Hi, Sorry, I've been working on them as quickly as I can, things are a bit of a mess and I'm trying to track who has and hasn't gotten sticks, putting orders together and trying to clear the decks, I'll let you know when I can get yours out, things are a bit of a mess on my end, sorry. Curt This really has been quite an ordeal. Like I told him at least update the website or post to one of the numerous threads on here about this product so people know what is going on. He does really seem like he has been avoiding the whole thing. So in all honesty, 10,000 were made right? Can we confirm that even 100 people have gotten what they paid for? Or even got an update on why they haven't gotten anything? I know a few people here have gotten them but what, maybe a dozen? Curt posts great information here but why can't he at least take a minute to update his site or post to one of the threads what is going on with this product. It just does not look good, sorry.
  16. That is a tough one. Robotron is one of those games I would really like to get again. Obviously, condition is key. Minis are harder to find but they are also easy to sneak into a corner of a room (the smaller the cab the better a spouse responds). If the cab is in good shape and everything works I know what I would be willing to go. I don't know his price but I would try to start at $200-250 if working and go from there. If it was nice I would spend $500 if I had the money, maybe a little more depending. Mint condition all original or boxed, goes up. Like I said I want one so my pricing might be a little high. If it had issues (besides needing a whole new cab or boardset) I would try to start at $100 or so and go to maybe $300.
  17. Popeye Berzerk VE? Could have some fun with that one.
  18. Happy happy joy joy......Let me know when you want the money (hmmmm, number 44, do you think that one might be available on ebay for $150??.....) I'll stop now, last poke.
  19. Picked up a boxed Telegames Super Video Arcade with sixteen boxed games for $10 today. The boxes all have some wear but at least they are there. I didn't have a SVA and one of the games and when I got it home it works! I remember now why I don't play my Intellivsion much, just can't get into the discs, good games, not my favorite controller though. Lots of people thinking they had a fortune sitting there like $10 Atari and Nintendo commons, actually saw a loose 2600 Pac for $20. The cheapest NES games I saw were $2 each, nothing good at all. Lots of overpriced crap.
  20. Problem is most people who know nothing about arcade games would just look at what is on ebay and see some of the new ones listed at $1000 and figure thiers is about the same. People never bother to look at completed auctions and see what actually sold and for how much. I actually looked through the completed Pac listings yesterday and prices are down on anything that sold, which wasn't much. As far as Hangly Man goes rom hacks don't add any value, for the most part. A nice multi rom kit might add a couple of bucks but it is the same with pirated boards too. Nobody is going to pay more for a bootleg Pac, definetly less. I wasn't trying to belittle the womans attempt at selling it, hope someone works out a deal with her. I was just being realistic on the condition you described. I would think in NY arcade games should be easy to come by.
  21. From the condition you described I maybe would have offered $100 if I felt generous. Arcade games have really taken a hit the last couple of years and it would be maybe worth more if it was still a Pac, but not much. You can get a fully working one that looks nice for under $500. One that needs electronic work and artwork is way overpriced at $330.
  22. Just got done playing this and just have to say, wow. Great job by PacManPlus, now I really can't wait to get a Pac Jr. cart considering how this game came out. Seriously, the graphics and everything are just awesome, give this game a try if you haven't yet. ........................ Just played it again, great game.
  23. Sticking to recently I just got a Ms. Pac mini this week for $50, it needs an overlay but otherwise is in great shape, maybe could use a cap kit. Two weeks ago got a Last Duel game in a woody Centuri cab, think it was a Pleiads originaly for $20. Whoever converted the game really hacked the job. After years of bouncing around with piss poor wiring it just needed a little TLC. No monitor bezel but the cab is in great shape. Might convert it back one day. About three months ago my buddy calls me telling me on the next street over some guy is throwing out a Street Fighter cab. I head right over (took 10 seconds) and check it out. The owner comes out and says that the joysticks are shot so it doesn't play anymore. He just wanted it gone, so I made it gone Sure enough, everything works but the sticks are shot, also it is Street Fighter The Movie but is an original SF cab. The cab looks kinda ratty though, gotta refinish it some day. Last year my same buddy calls me up saying there is a cocktail cab on the street. I ask if it has a monitor and controls, it does. He picks it up and brings it over, Gyruss cocktail. Always one of my favorite games. The top glass was missing but everything else was there. The bottom of the cab needs restored, it is all there but obvious water damage. Powers up but joysticks shot. Control panels are almost mint though, go figure. I've had some really great luck the last few months. I used to have a great collection before I moved and it seems I'm back into arcade collecting after about a seven year layoff Scored some really great deals back in the 90's and early 00's(?) and really want to get more pre-jamma games and true classics like I had but those are stories for another day.
