  1. My apologies if this has been discussed to the end of the earth already, but the search tool didnt yield immediately useful results... so, Im wondering, beyond what people say on amazon, how does the truly dedicated retro game community feel about X-Arcade sticks. How do they compare to sanwas? Are they clicky? Authentic feeling to the 80s JAMMA experience or something all their own. I wish they were in stores so I could get hands on with one but... well, I guess GameStop isnt going to encourage people to go and compile a retropie system are they?
  2. Havent been able to see the site myself but someone on Facebook was groaning that there is only a $500 bundle up today... that aint cheap. Update: Well, I was finally able to see it, and for those who dont want to bother looking for themselves, looks like the base unit is roughly $250, a bundle with the whole enchilada is $599, and individual add on modules are priced individually. I think nes or SNES was like $60. Eh. Its certainly not an impulse buy but its also not as egregious as I initially thought.
  3. Too bad their web server was nothing more than a graphics card in a Jaguar shell.
  4. Id like to add one more unit to my pre-order request (for a total of two). Awesome!!!
  5. Hypothetical question here: can the nt mini cores be ported over to the super nt without modification? I mean, I know not all the hardware is the same, but its the same Altera Cyclone V at the heart of both beasts, no? Hypothetically speaking of course... I mean, it wouldnt be worth tinkering with merging the firmwares or anything, riiiiight?
  6. No help here, Ive got the exact same situation going on in my channel f box.
  7. Yeah, I wasnt expecting free shipping but it was there. My discount came up as like $21... I was confused and surprised, but I decided to go with it. Wonder if its a mistake.
  8. Cracker Barrell online store currently has pac man and space invaders in stock and on sale. I got both for $31.78 shipped. Just sayin. (On sale with code Fall25)
  9. As a gamer, there are many things I wish for; but, as a console collector this is a must have just because of what Analogue is and the legacy of quality they (and Kev) are carving out into a amazing time in gaming history. I hope its a wild success but if it isnt, Im going to be stoked to have this in my collection. Win either way.
  10. I just pre-ordered something, this should be fun.
  11. Ok, this is too rich for my blood... but, can I tempt you with this-- the fabled cdragon Fuze (that bizarro PS4 ate a Xbox One thing)?! "Look what I found on AliExpress" http://s.aliexpress.com/2MVrUvaU
  12. I'm just going to leave this right here... and suggest you save your money until summer 2018. http://s.aliexpress.com/ZNNnERfe
  13. hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha
  14. Yep, that's precisely what I got in lieu of a legit system buying of Amazon marketplace. Amazon refunded my money and I still have the counterfiet system, so that's a win; but it's no fun. The emulation runs fast in games, the menu runs slow, and many features such as language selection are mere window dressing with no actual function. I'm glad to have it as a curiosity, but it'll never get played again.
  15. So, I took the plunge on a $141 nes classic on Amazon... seller did not really have a profile ("just launched"), imagine my surprise when I see the tracking no. ending in "CN"... so, three weeks later the "mini" arrives, and sure as the day is long, it's a counterfiet. It's a damn near perfect looking box (the highlight of this thing is the fake package). This was a unit with wiimote ports and only 30 games. The case colors and textures (shiny controller, I'll placed decals etc) are slightly off, the menu is very sluggish, long game load times and loading screen are a dead giveaway of it being a fake, and of course, the horrid sound. Omg. The sound. Anyhow, buyer beware-- as much as I'd love to have a counterfiet mini as a collectable, it's pretty unfun in person, and besides, i wouldn't want it at this price. now I'm going to have to ship this bastard back to china. I mean, at their expense, but still...
  16. The assumptions being made about what Kevtris is up to are awesome. Hate to disappoint you all, but I have it on good authority that he's actually just perfecting his doomsday device in order to enslave us all; there will be no more cores, just endless servitude. Imho, it's been worth it.
  17. From a console collector's point of view, I love my Dina 2-in-1; it's just so strange, and until the NT Mini came along, it was my preferred console for playing coleco games (mostly because of the controller). I also love my Power Games famiclone for much the same reason, it's so bizarre and while it's no technical marvel, I credit it for introducing me to a world of famicom games I had not previously played and the IR controllers are kinda ridiculously bizarre to the point of being fun.
  18. That first photo is BS, the rest of the shots confirm that it's the same db9 as all the others. This same tactic was tried on alixpress a couple weeks ago and mysteriously disappeared after 100+ orders and no feedback. Hmm. Methinks it's probably the same crook.
