Does 7800Basic need to be told to go to other banks via labels since it only starts in bank 1 and does not move to other banks unless it's told to? For example: (dim codes, etc) <incgraphic image> <incgraphic image> <incgraphic image> drawwait goto __set2 bank2 bank 2 __set2 newblock <incgraphic image> <incgraphic image> <incgraphic image> drawwait goto __set3 bank3 bank3 __set3 newblock <incgraphic image> <incgraphic image> <incgraphic image> drawwait <game code> <game code> <game code> goto __set4 bank4 bank 4 __set4 <more game code>

So I'm working on this other game-had to change to 128k. But the graphics are all screwed up. My guess is there are graphics being skipped or ignored?

In the Smasteroids sample, what does "newblock" do? I don't see it mentioned in the 7800basic guide.

Should we try, instead of 500, go up to 9000?

Have you also tried cleaning the cartridge slot on the Atari with a can of compressed air? There could be little deposits of dirt inside.

Activision carts tend to need more cleaning than others as mentioned in this thread. I've had a problem one time with another Atari cart that wouldn't work right with the newer flat TV's so I tried an older analog set. It also could be an issue with the RF box if you have one connected to the TV. A nice replacement is one of these: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 111514142282

I think you hold both fire trigger buttons while turning the power on. Then push any button, you'll hear a tone and then get a Debug Screen.
