We love the photo of her dad working in the store where he received this game. I love seeing the Mattel Electronics Basketball sitting behind him too! It is a really great back story. And the confirmation of the manual and where Men-A-Vision was from, here in Los Angeles is cool as well. It is suprising how nice the box job really was for Air Raid with the inner box with plastic insert ala Imagic and Intellivision. And with the instruction manual hidden underneath the plastic cartridge tray. Priceless

Hey all,
For the first time, a complete in box Air Raid is up for auction on GameGavel. Per the seller, there is a conservative, but not a crazy reserve on this so you can expect the reserve to be reached and passed hopefully before the end of the auction so we can see some exciting post reserve bidding. I am guessing this is the most prized manual in all of Atari collecting at the moment. Here's your chance to nab it

I am glad GameGavel contributed to helping move this all along! Can't wait to play this one as I think it actually looks a bit fun!
I am the one that acquired the first copy of Red Sea Crossing from Gamegavel the other night. I am offering copies of the game on this website. I have already communicated with a reputable member of this forum to make the video game carts. For the time being, we are only going to make carts. I have decided to reproduce a limited number of numbered carts (50)- if a lot more are required, I will update this thread. The game should be ready within a month for shipping. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of Red Sea Crossing, I am asking for $60 which includes priority shipping and delivery confirmation (international buyers please PM for shipping costs). I have worked with many very reputable people on this forum so rest assured you will get your game.
If you are interested, for preordering, I will require an upfront payment of $60 to the following paypal address: [email protected] so that I can make your copy (please include your AA handle name under subject in your paypal payment). In addition, please PM me that you have sent me the money so I can update my registry….the sooner you pay, the lower number you will get.
The reason why I am asking for payment upfront is for two reasons: 1) I need to pay the person I am working with on making the game and 2) If I make games, I do not want to be burned at the end for non-payment.
I will update this thread with pics of the carts and the status of production.
If you have any further questions, please PM me. Otherwise, if you are interested, please preorder so that I can start making your cart.
Thanks,
Atari4You

To celebrate the sale of RSC on GameGavel, if any of you have rare gaming goodness, list it (and hopefully sell it, too) on GameGavel and pay nothing through 10/31/12. Ya, I know it would only cost $2 or $8 to list/sell anyway, but hey, it's free so give it a try. But it must be relatively rare item. Contact me at [email protected] and let me know if you want to give it a shot!

Hey guys,
Where does this sale rank for most expensive Atari carts? I know Air Raid brought in bunch more CIB but for loose carts is this the most to date?
-
Yes, $10K was the reserve.
10K minus 1 cent.
LOL

Was that the reserve? I missed when it was finally met. That was what nagn2 meant by "a little lower than my highest private offer"?
-
RESERVE MET at $10K on GameGavel! 10 Minutes left.
-
Some last minute movement and ends in about 20 minutes! I hope this gets sold tonight!
-
Thanks
The RSC on GG ends tonight. We will see where it tops out at and if the reserve is not met, at least we will all know how high people will bid and that should be an accurate indicator as to the games value at this point. Both sellers can use that info moving forward and hopefully get them into the hands of collectors who could make some headway in getting this thing reproduced.$5.500 only?
And the other one on ebay already topped $7000.
Nagn2 should put it on ebay, not this Gravel thing.....
Correction: 8K
Nothing wrong with Gamegavel.

Most if not all the bids on GameGavel are legit, I recognize most of them. The one good thing here even if these don't reach their reserves it will identify the value of each of these in the conditions they are in, so we will have all learned something. Then they can get relisted based on this new information or deals could be made with the high bidders at the end of the auctions. But who knows how these will end at this point or what the real value is until the bidding stops. The GameGavel auction ends tonight so we will see where it tops out.

Technically, bids placed on both GG and Epay are considered legally binding. If you bid it up to find the reserve on GG, be prepared to pay if you win it. Dummy account or not we will hunt you down and slap you silly with an ET cartridge

P.S. If anyone really wants to know the reserve on either copy be it the one on GG or Epay it would be very easy to find out with a dummy account on either site which many
people do have on both of those sites. Just sayin'.

I know they "can" be repro'd but if Mr. Stack doesn't bless it and they can't "legally" be remade would they be worth more or less?
So maybe a dumb question, but if these carts aren't able to get repro'd (and assuming there isn't a box of them somewhere) or dumped do these both become more or less valuable to a collector? At that point the only way to play this game is to own one of these two originals.
I will personally bet you as much money as you like that this game uses a standard programming scheme with a basic well known pcb layout that can without a doubt be dumped and reproduced with ease.

Well obviously you are not to bright from you post.
Let me just state the obvious, if no one else bids it doesn't matter if you retract your bid or not as the item will NOT sell regardless. Thats because..... wait for it..... The reserve is NOT met!
It's kind of an inside joke, KMD is an Atari seller from way back, he has stuff all over every forum on the Internet, ranting total crazy nonsense. Just google him or search the forums for KMD. That guy wasn't serious.

Thanks again to you David for taking the time to chat with the three of us at CGE!-

Ya, GG is getting nothing from this but publicity and that is a deal I would make with anyone that has something rare they want to put up at least for the near future
After this went live I emailed a pretty deep list of 7000 members, some well known collectors that run in my circles and our facebook page with over 5K fans and stirred it up pretty well. So far, no national attention has come, but crossing fingers it will get there. I give auctions like this quite a bit of attention and would do the same with any of yours. And, yes now would be a great time for many of you, especially those with FREE LIFETIME SELLER Accounts to try it out and list some things

We are verifying all bidders at this point. All without any feedback and also new members bidding on this must have accurate contact information for their GameGavel account and good phone #'s (which we are calling to verify) so we don't expect any of this happening. If bidders cannot be verified and confirmed than their bids will be removed and the auction will revert to the next highest legitimate bidder. So far, no issues though.
Good luck to all bidders
