  1. When the Chuckwagon first went on line back in March, Shawn Sr. said "It will never work". Not to long after making that comment he decided to register and has since taken that quote back. In fact, he asked if he could sell a game he had been working on exclusively on the Chuckwagon. Of course I said, "awesome". And a few months later, he has his game complete and is offering it up NOW on ChaseTheChuckwagon.com.

He has 10 available and so far they have been selling like crazy and only a few left. I barely had enough time to even make you all aware of it.

    So here it is :

I want to thank Shawn for having this idea of a Chuckwagon Exclusive and I hope that this will be one of many more to come over the years from Shawn! Thanks Man!!

    Hey Shawn,

Sorry to chime in late here. Been out sailing all day :) I agree with everyone else, and no I didn't forget your exclusive coming and you were the first to mention it to me way back when you first jumped on board (after saying it will never work if I remember correctly ;). I think having a few exclusives appear hear and there will be great. The more the merrier :) Let me know when you are ready to rock with it and then we can start spreading the official word.

  4. CPUWIZ and ChaseTheChuckwagon.com have come together to offer up a very limited release of a very mysterious game.

    H.jpg unknown.JPG

Here is an excerpt from AtariProtos.com attempting to describe this "unknown" game:

"Believe me when I say that this prototype is a complete mystery. No programmer, no model number, and no company. We don't even know the name of the game. The only we have as to the identity of this prototype is the name Universal, which is silk screened onto the EPROM board. Unfortunately this just raises more questions than it answers. Universal was an arcade game manufacturer, and licensed all its games to Coleco. But why would Universal suddenly start programming their own original games for the 2600?"

Read more about this never before released game here: http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/u...n3/unknown3.htm

This game cartridge has been meticulously created by CPUWIZ right down to the label featuing the ChaseTheChuckwagon.com logo. This will only be made available in limited quanitites on http://www.ChaseTheChuckwagon.com. Own a piece of previously unattainable video gaming history dressed to the nines and ready to grace your Atari 2600.

It is undetermined as to the quantities this will be produced. Each one will be individually numbered by it's creator CPUWIZ. We will make an official announcement right here on AtariAge.com when these cartridges will be listed on ChaseTheChuckwagon.com.

    Stay Tuned !

So Cal Mike & CPUWIZ :)

EDIT By CPUWIZ: Here is the link!

    EDIT: First 10 are gone.

    EDIT: Second 10 are gone.

    EDIT: Third 10 are gone.

    EDIT: 5 more are gone.

    EDIT: 5 more are gone.

    That's it!

  5. I think it is over 1000 now. Congrats.

Yep, passed 1,000 Items this morning !! It's a great feeling and one that I hope we can now build on. Come one, come all to the Chuckwagon. There are tons of great items up for auction. Thanks to all our sellers who have gone above and beyond to make this happen in such a short time. Keep in mind we have only been online since March 24th.

    Ebay here we come :)

  6. I felt we are approaching a momentus occasion on ChaseTheChuckwagon.com. When we launched only a little over 4 months ago, our idea was met with more than a little skepticism. But as time has gone by, I think ChaseTheChuckwagon.com is filling a nice little niche within the auction world.

Here are some interesting tidbits of information and statistics since we launched:

    • Briskly grown to over 670 members, averaging over 160 new members each month . . . and growing.
    • Listed over 6,000 Items
    • Sold over $19,000 in Goods
    • Introduced an active community forum where members can get to know one another

We have risen into the top 120,000 Websites in the USA and around 550,000 worldwide. I know these are still big #'s but considering there are over 10 Millions website worldwide, in four short months the Chuckwagon is doing amazingly well. In addition to the 670+ members we are seeing tons of traffic each and every day which means people are bookmarking us and will register when they see something they want.

If you have yet to join, what are you waiting for. ChaseTheChuckwagon.com is less expensive to sell on, has a great variety of classic and modern gaming items getting listed each and every day, and will continue to grow for ever. It's not going anywhere. It's all about choices and now gamers everywhere have a legitimate choice for gaming auctions.

Climb on board the fastest growing internet auction site dedicated to gamers.

    So Cal Mike

    Owner, http://www.ChaseTheChuckwagon.com

That's some good stuff. I don't have a 5200 now, but if I did, Fractalus would be bid on for sure. Great game ! Cool box too.

  8. Well, for me, it seems that Atari, Activision, and Imagic games get the majority of attention when it comes to "best games" on the system. One title that I don't think gets a fair shake much, at least I haven't heard much mentioned about it, is Infiltrate from Apollo.

Infiltrate is one of those games that I grew up playing, and contains a great deal of fast action compared to a lot of titles. There are only a couple of enemies to contend with at any one time, and the objective is fairly simple: Get the bar at the top, then get the one at the bottom, and repeat while avoiding being killed. Still, it's a good game that takes a good bit of practice and skill to get really good at.

Here is an Infiltrate buy it now reasonably.

Good to hear about this one. I just picked it up a couple weeks ago and have not even played it yet. Will have to try it out now :D

  10. On the Activision side I would vote for Frost Bite. On the Atari side I would vote for Dodge'em. What other games are sleepers or way underrated? I am going to try and start adding some of them to the old collection but need some help and opinion here.

  11. Is it rare. Worth anything? Found one locally wondering if I should pick it up. Not much info on AtariAge.
Exactly which version did you find?

    This is the original version:

    8)

It's unfortunately part of a Craigslist lot the guy wants $200 for the system and like 20 games, this being one of them. I just saw the title listed but no photo. I am thinking $200 is way to much for this one cartridge :) But, maybe I will try and see if he will sell it seperatly

  12. So this was my first year to attend the NWCGE, and so far I've had a great time. Since I flew in from Sacramento, CA I didn't have anything to do, so I was able to help out with setting up. I was able to talk with some of the people I had met at previous CGEs and got to met lots of new people helping them bring in their stock.

On Saturday I started buying stuff, and by the end of the day I had found some many great things at great prices that my suitcase is almost full. Hopefully I will have room for more stuff tomorrow.

I put up some pictures, the can be seen here:

    later,

    Charles

Great photos. Wish I was there. Maybe next year.

  13. How do I leave feedback on Chuck Wagon? :ponder:

You can login to your members area and then click either on "Invoices for Purchase" to leave feedback for a Seller or click on "Invoices for Sales" to leave feedback for buyers. Let me know if that works for you.
