  1. Does anybody know of a link to an online version or where I could download a copy?
  2. I've worked out the problem with the Jr. It requires two new capacitors in the sound stage. I've also fixed the Woddy's power problems, dry joint on the power switch, but it has another fault as well which is a bit trickier. It's a PAL six switcher by the way. It all works fine apart from some white artifacts that move up the screen. These appear as small 2 or 3 white lines that appear to move across the screen and up it. It does this even with the TIA removed out so I'm assuming it's some noise getting into the video stage some how. I thinking maybe some decoupling caps have gone, or the power supply and regulator are letting some ripple voltage into the system. Is that detailed enough?
  3. Does anybody know of a list of common Atari 2600 hardware faults / problems and how to fix them? I have one Atari 2600 Jr with just white noise coming out of it instead of sound, and a Woody which seems to be completely dead.
  4. Hi all. I'm currently designing an SRAM cart for the Atari 2600 and would like it to be able to switch carts (SRAM pages) by using the SELECT and RESET button on the console. With the current design you just press a button on the cart repeatedly until the correct RAM page is selected then turn on the console. Basically the button switches in pages of 4K from the SRAM. Has anyone got any code ideas for implementing the switching in the cart itself?
  5. Don't know if this should really go on a GBA forum, but here goes. I'm currently writing a 2600 emulator for the Gameboy Advance in assembler, and was wondering if anybody was interested in giving me a hand? I know there's already emulator for the GBA but they're written in C and acheive a very low frame rate. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Anyone know where i can find a copy?

    TIA chip is RIP

I think the chips are the same. The PAL version just has a different clock freqeuncy (hence different colours etc.) I'm not 100% about this though. The $8 version Best have for sale is marked as PAL. Anybody else have any ideas? [ 02-16-2002: Message edited by: GazP ]
  8. Take it you don't like Edge then liveinabin? As for the logo I do appologise I think as far as Edge goes it's a good magazine if you're into new gaming technology what's going on in the gaming industry in general. That's just my opinion though.
  9. If anyone's interested, there's a nice Atari feature in this month's copy of Edge in the UK. There's also a couple of pages about general retro gaming as well. You can't miss the magazine, it's got a massive Fuji hologram thing on the front.
  10. Did you actually write that version of pong? Or was it a hack?
  11. I don't think it's gonna happen some how Fox. Back to the drawing board methinks...
