  1. This doesn't seem to be causing any issues for me. The Atari and FujiNet reboot fine and do not ask for a password reset.
  2. I've been doing some more testing with different machines, including a 600XL with a 1064 attached and the stock 800XL with a SYS-Check. I am beginning to think that maybe what the FujiNet *really* doesn't like is the AtariMax 32-in-1 board; this seems to be the one machine that gives me consistent errors. On attmpted boot-up, the main FujiNet screen often just locks up as it's trying to load. This doesn't seem to be consistent behavior on any of the other machines. Has anyone else tried using FujiNet on an AtariMax 32-in-1 upgraded machine?
  3. I will see what I can do over the next few days and will get back to you.
  4. There is what looks to be an Alps keyboard on the 2nd XL and probably a working POKEY chip in it as well. Those two things alone are worth more than $50.
  5. This is kind of curious. I wonder who would have access to a well modified XL like this but yet not know what is in it or what it does?
  6. @jamm - I don't see how this could be the problem because the Ataris were literally a foot from each other on my dining room table with the router in line of sight and only about 20 feet away. Now I'm wondering if maybe you might be on to something with the idea that the Ataris themselves might be causing interference. The modded XLs all have their RF modulators intact and their top shielding removed and the two that are the worst FujiNet performers have their bottom shielding off as well. The 400, of course, has it's tank-like shielding and the unmodified 800XL also has top and bottom shields; they are the two best performers with the FujiNet.
  7. The U1MB requires the 600XL to be upgraded to 64K before installing it but the ANTONIA does not. I think that the ANTONIA is just about the perfect upgrade for a 600XL because of this. Plus it gives eight open OS slots vs the four that U1MB has. The ANTONIA fits nicely into the 600XL too whereas the U1MB takes some finagling get it into that tiny shell. I have a 600XL with both an ANTONIA and a SOPHIA DVI board in it and it is a fantastic, powerful little machine. I would highly recommend going this route.
  8. Jamie is a really good guy. I have met him a couple of times now and have throughly enjoyed talking to him.
  9. For people with multiple Ataris - does you FujiNet seem to work better with one machine over another? For example, I often seem to have difficulties making a connection to various networks on my 576K/32-IN-1 800XL but rarely have the same troubles with my U1MB 800XL. My 52K 400 made the connections most time and loaded the few games that I tried but then could not display the graphics on Weather.xex even though it all seemed to load. My ANTONIA 600XL is mostly OK with the FujiNet but sometimes needs a reboot or two in order to connect to various servers. My one stock 800XL has a Taiwanese made motherboard in it and seems to load everything without issue. Has anyone else experienced different results on different machines?
  10. I just put the 48/52K card that I have had sitting around since last spring into my 400. Super easy to install and everything is working great. Thanks for another great product Jürgen!
  11. @drac030 - This seemingly fixed everything on my end. I didn't actually try switching everything around with all of my loaded Operating Systems this time but the Configurator Tool did save my ID file changes correctly in both the regular and CRC versions.
  12. @drac030 - Everything in these new versions worked fine and loaded under all of the Operating Systems that I tried them with. I was able to rename all of my slots EXCEPT for "Altirra BASIC V1.55". For some reason, even though I tried saving the ID file numerous times, the BASIC description keeps reverting to the name "AB09". Otherwise, I experienced no other issues.
  13. @drac030 - I just saw this new update. I will try to get to testing it this coming weekend. The ability to edit the ROM file names sounds like a perfect update! Looking forward to this. Thanks for your continued work on this.
  14. I am terribly sad to hear this news. The last time that I saw Curt was at Vintage Computer Fest East in 2019 but it had been more than 10 years since the last time that I had seen him before that. It was great catching up with him and I was looking forward to seeing him again at this year's VCFE but of course the world prevented that from happening. Curt was an interesting guy to say the least; he had a manner about him that was kind of like a Mack Truck! He was boisterous and self assured and a wealth of knowledge. I really liked Curt a lot and am sorry that I'll never get the opportunity to talk with him again.

  16. @Geister - Very nice pick up for you! Sounds like you have probably been needing one too. It also tells me that I should have been paying more attention to the LV Craigslist too, since I also live in Easton PA. 😛 I'm glad that you got the stash though and hope that everything turns out to be either working or an easy repair.
  17. I own real, legit purchased copies of "Venture", "Tempest Elite", and "Animal Keeper". All are fun games and I really wouldn't want to be without the first two. I did have an issue with "Venture" when I first got it but Lance at Video61 totally came through for me and replaced my copy with a new one. "Tempest Elite" is picky about which XL hardware that it likes to run on; it hates my earliest HK revision 800XL but runs just fine on my later Taiwanese made 800XL (and it has no issue with any of my RAM upgraded 600XLs). I have corresponded with Lance from Video61 on a number of occasions via email and I have always found him to be helpful and friendly; I genuinely like the guy.

    Pokeymax v2

I got my two Pokeymaxs in the mail today. I haven't done any wiring yet but everything seems to be working fantastically as a straight Pokey replacement. One question : I thought that I had ordered a basic Stereo version but, instead, the Stereo Covox version showed up. Will this make any difference if I want to use the Pokeymax for just a simple stereo connection? Also, will I still need to attach both the A4 & A7 wires to the SALLY chip or just the A4? Thanks.
  19. I'm sure that this is going to be a dumb question but how do I go about creating an empty 2MByte ATR?
  20. Definitely one for now, for an 800XL. Possible one later, for a 600XL.
  21. Is this what you are looking for? I have had them sitting on my Ultimate Cart forever but haven't really ever done much with them. I cannot recall where I found them either. I ran a few with Altirra and they seemed to work just fine. Hope this helps. Williams Carts.zip

  23. I am a big fan of @tf_hh's internal 576K RAM upgrade board. It will likely do everything for you that you're looking for and is relatively inexpensive. However on an XE machine you will have to do a bit of desoldering and re-soldering work to install it, although this probably won't be a big deal if you were already planning on replacing some RAM chips anyway.
  24. I don't honestly know if I've ever used the 2/4MB setting on my ANTONIA. I generally just leave it at 576K or 1MB; both settings meet pretty much all of my needs. What I really do appreciate about the ANTONIA is that it has the 8 open configurable and easily selectable OS slots.
  25. Just wanted to pop in to give a public thanks to @bob1200xl for the MediaMate disk holder. My one old one was becoming hopefully overcrowded in recent days so this was greatly appreciated!
