  2. For anyone that's interested, we just put up a "sneak preview" page of all of our new releases for PC5, including our clear cart releases and our first boxed homebrew, Pressure Gauge. Here's the link: http://www.packratvg.com/pc5.htm I'll be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have! Best, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com P.S. All of these games, with the exception of Mental Kombat PC5 Special Edition, will be available to purchase online after the show.
  3. CPU, I'm not sure what you mean. I only have one ebay account. I hardly ever sell anything, so I've just kept my original account from way back when. Best, Jarett
  4. Just an FYI, I posted a boxed Colecovsion auction tonight: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MESSE%3AIT&rd=1 The BIN is a bit high, but there's no reserve on the auction. Please feel free to post any questions that you may have. Thanks, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  5. Ich wünsche, daß Borgwars weniger kostspielig war. Es ist nur ein graphisches hack. Die ganze unser neues hacks an PC5 kostet herum $15. Dieses scheint wie ein angemessener Preis. -Jarett
I schicke dir ein PM. Danke, Jarett Waite Besitzer--Packrat Video Games (Koennt ihr merken dass ich wenig Deutsch kann?? Borgwars is a little more expensive than other games because it uses more expensive PCB's and three more chips than 4K homebrews and hacks. Also, it comes with a six-page manual. AA sells Borgwars for $20.00, but it doesn't come with a manual. Retrofan, we would be more than happy to help you. I will send you a PM. Thanks, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  7. Yes, we are missing the rest of the world on the Globetrotter map. Weston and I decided to use the U.S. map for now until he goes overseas. When that happens, we'll put up a world map where you'll be able to zoom in on certain areas to see more detail. As far as I know, Weston has some big plans for Trotter at PC5. Thanks, Jarett
  8. You can always check out our site as well: www.packratvg.com I can answer any questions that you may have as well. Sincerely, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games
  9. Here you go. I had to rename the bin for it to work right. Let me know if you need anything else. Later, Jarett cosmicbowl.zip
  10. We'll be picking this mag up and selling it on our website, www.packratvg.com. Hopefully we'll be able to sell the mag with shipping for less than the cover price. Best, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games
  11. Following my previous question about cannibalizing O'Shea NIB games, I have another question for everyone. We'll begin offering hacks of one or two of the O'Shea games at PC5. Accordingly, we could sell the hacks in the original boxes, just with a sticker on the box noting the "new features." Is this something that people would be willing to pay an extra $3-$4 for? The final price would be $20.00 if we were to take this route. Otherwise, we'll just sell the hack as a loose cart for $16.00. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  12. That table at CGE with A-VCS-Tec Challenge on demo was our table. Simon sent us the bin with the game about 60% done. Evidently it's now pretty close to being finished. Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  13. Gus, Recibiste mi email hace unas semanas? Gracias, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  14. Chris, That is really funny and very cool! Jarett
  15. In our preparations for PC5, we realized that we're a little lean when it comes to 2600 hacks. I would like to know if anyone has any requests for hacks that Packrat Video Games could produce and sell. We would obtain permission from the author, put together nice labels, and possibly even make manuals for the hacks. There's hundreds of hacks out there, so I would be very appreciative of any suggestions to narrow it down a little. Thanks, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  16. It's in the works . Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  17. Packrat Video Games will also be at PC5 in a big way. We'll have lots of great stuff for sale including several new releases in the homebrew and hack arena. We'll also have a Globetrotter display set up and several tournaments for prizes throughout the course of the event. Actually, PM me if you have any suggestions as to how you would like the tournaments to be set up. Thanks, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  18. I picked up a Video Game Brain the other day only to discover that bankswitched games won't work with it. I've been told that this is because all of the cart slots are grounded together. Does anyone know how I could alter the circuitry so that the VGB will work with bankswitched games? Thanks, Jarett
  19. We did discuss AA and that he needed to contact the Al's about their homebrews. I'll send him a link to this message. Jarett
  20. Just as long as they're common PAL carts and in good shape, their shouldn't be any problem with sending them. We are mostly looking for carts with dust covers (not later releases), so you might want to check that. Thanks, Jarett
  21. I would like to thank CPUWIZ and Rick Weis for their more than generous help. Both of them have sent very large quantities of common carts, exactly what we need as we prepare for PC5. You guys are awesome. The offer is still open to anyone else that has a few commons that they'd like to send our way. Thanks again, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  22. I spoke with Jaysen Mercer last night on the phone, one of five partners starting the magazine. I was impressed with his professionalism and understanding of classic video games. We talked for over half an hour and I mentioned quite a few things that only a classic gamer would know about. As far as I could tell, he knew what he was talking about. We discussed Packrat's homebrew lineup and the possibility of a monthly column on our homebrews. Frankly, I'm excited. We didn't discuss any sort of a timeline, but I got the impression that they've been working on this for quite a while. We also talked about the price guide and how the prices will be determined. As it stands now, they will monitor online retailer prices via monthly surveys, take into account ebay prices, and consult a few other sources. Interestingly, they're planning to only list the top 25% of games (regarding selling price) for each system. As for writers, the sample on their website with the David Crane interview was written by Jaysen. I noticed on the GDG website that Michael Thomasson will have his own monthly column. It will be interesting to see how it fleshes out. I really hope that they will stay true to the real fans of classic gaming. Sincerely, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com
  23. If you have bunch of common Atari 2600 carts collecting dust, we can put them to good use for our homebrews. Please check out the following webpage for details: www.packratvg.com/buying.htm Thanks, Jarett Waite Owner Packrat Video Games www.packratvg.com

I found two BB carts back in 1998 as well, Q*Bert and Basketball. They were in a thrift store in Provo, UT. I wasn't sure what they were, so I emailed JerryG in Arizona and he made me a very nice offer on the Basketball cart. I think that I remember him telling me that he already had a copy of BB Q*Bert, so people knew about them before 1998. I suppose that he picked his up when he lived in the Seattle area, so it appears that the carts possibly originated from somewhere in the Northwest. Jarett
  25. Has anyone noticed how much the price of Waterworld has dropped lately? I ran a search for completed auctions and came up with the following: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...7&category=4315 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...1&category=3528 And I won this one this afternoon: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...egory=3528&rd=1 I logged on a few hours before this one ended and decided to put my bid in. I was really suprised to see that I won, an even more suprised to see the final price. Later, Jarett
