Good. Now you can get back to making the next great 5200 game! Well, come on. Chop, chop!!

Well, I just desoldered an IC on a Pac-man cart, removed it, and then resoldered it back in. Guess what happened? It worked!!! I'm finally getting a handle on this thing. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be good enough to install the 7800 s-video upgrade. It's funny how much of soldering is technique. I've read a lot on how to solder the right way but some of it you just have to learn by doing.
As you can see I still need practise but the important thing is that it worked. It took me a bit to figure out that the tip of the tip just doesn't get hot enough so you have to use the side of the tip.

I just picked one of these up and gave it a try. It actually works really well. I was able to remove an IC on my 7800 (guess which one ) within about 5 minutes. I defintely recommend it. The best part is it's price.

I love the posters on each side. I sure wish they could be scanned/photographed and either reproduced or put on the Net for downloading and printing out.

How about your a spy for another company sneaking in your competitor's factory. You have to sneak in, get the plans for their new gizmo, and sneak out again. You have to avoid all the machinery that they throw at you. Crushers, welders, etc.
