  1. Is this something that's on the Web somewhere? Allan
  2. If I remember right, it was the Woz who did the game and Jobs just took all the credit. Typical Jobs. Allan

    Castle Crisis

While I'm waiting for the ink to dry on those manuals, I built one of these. Highly recommend. Allan
  4. Finally got a chance to try out my Maxi cart today. I can't beleive how cool this thing is. I've been playing Blaster for a little while. It's so cool on the real hardware. Can't wait to start writing my own programs and trying them with the Maxicart. A++. Now we just need a 5200 High Score Cart. Allan
  5. Just wanted to say THANKS Kenfused for this great port. Would love to see it on a cart through AtariAge or whoever. Nice job. Or Sinistar or Elavator Action. Allan
  6. NO WAY! Say it ain't so! He he he! Kenfused would never do that! Not on April 1st! Allan
  7. It works mostly. The players sre screwed up. The hotdogs are black and part of the chef moves back and forth on the top. This is in Atari800 emulator for Macintosh. I'll have to try it later with the Maxicart. Allan
  8. That's what Tempest should have done with Blaster! That would have been funny. Allan
  9. Well, Dump it and we'll see what it really is. Not that I think you converted one of the 8-bit burgertime clones or nothing. Allan
  10. This quote makes me drool:
  11. Those Star Raiders are just pussies. Allan
  12. Beat this score, space hogs! Allan
  13. Thanks Nukey. Works now. Very cool! Got to put this on my Maxicart now and play it on the real thing. Allan
  14. Could somebody convert this to a 32K bin so I can play it in the Atari800 emulator for the Mac? Thanks, Allan
  15. I've tried to locate J.D. Casten but he's seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. He's like the D.B. Cooper of Atari programmers. Allan
  16. We need a little more information. First, does it have two joystick ports in the fron or two? If two, you need the power supply/ac/dc converter, a standard RF(radio frequency) box to connect to the TV and the 5200. If it's a four port model, you need the power supply/ac/dc converter, a special 5200 RF(radio frequency) box that is unique to the 5200, and the 5200 itself. Allan
  17. Whoops, forgot to mention the amount. It was going to be a 1 meg expansion board. Allan
  18. But doesn't the computer BIOS have a lot of routines that BASIC uses? Plus I am assuming you would have to ad routines for the SIO port, unless they are built in. Even if so you would still need a DOS to communicate with a disk drive. I would imagine that you would run out of memory at this point because you can't do much with a drive hooked up to a 400/600XL. I wonder if a memory expansion board could be made so that you could run 64K or larger games on the 5200? I know somebody was bulding one for the XEGS a couple of years ago but he never finished it. You were suppose to be able to just connect a couple of wires and that's it. Allan
  19. I'm guessing you'd have to modify the 2K OS ROM to except more memory? Allan
  20. I always wondered about this expecially with the XEGS keyboard which uses the 5200 controller connector. Maybe it would be easier to modify an XEGS cable? So how much ram would you have left over to program? 8K or 16K Maybe we could expand the 5200's memory to 64K? Allan
  21. Hey, where did he say that? I would have picked a different game if I knew that. Oh well. Allan
  22. I have to say it guys. Most of you blew it big time. Matt gave a major clue in the other post about this. He said: Games like Sinistar, Elevator Action, Arabian, etc. are all listed on the 'Games to be rumored to exist' list that's out there on the Net. Only a couple of you (including me) guessed games that aren't on this list. Allan
