Modded my Odyssey 2 to use Atari Joysticks
Mrshoujo replied to toymailman's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
Though I'm rather late to this topic (at least it has replies from this year), when I collected an O2 and a plethora of games but the controllers were stuck and non-functional, I cut them off the cords that came with the unit and neatly attached the DB9 male plugs in place of the controllers. It's handy when the O2 has built-in controller extension cords. I think I also performed a DC blocking circuit mod on RF Modulator so that I could plug the RF cord into automatic switching RF boxes, like that came with my 64-bit Atari Jaguar. -
Question: Digitized Sound on Atari 2600

I Want My Momma also has a short digital audio clip. -
Has anyone tried making a Supercharger audio file for this game to see if it works on unmodified Superchargers?

JAGUAR HSC - March - Pinball Fantasies - AtarDi_160,505,800
Mrshoujo replied to doctorclu's topic in Jaguar High Score Club
Sorta old thread but it brought back to mind I spent several hours playing Stones and Bones and got a huge score, so your claim that the 10 is a "bug" needs proof. I really need to fire my JagCD system up and check that score. I zoned out on it for several hours and replayed that last ball several times. -
I'm wondering if anyone else got a copy of the Jaguar promo tape Atari Corp was selling at one point. I have my copy, bought at the same time I got the Tempest 2000 CD and the Aliens v Predators poster and the Jaguar duffel bag I store my system in.

I just want to say this about trying to buy a copy of the HALO 2600 cartridge: I got my name on the list, I got an email saying more copies were available. "Any Questions" And I had a question. Payments were being accepted by PAYPAL. I CAN'T DO PAYPAL. I want to send a money order. I replied with that question. I have not heard a response since. It's bad service to not reply to a question when I had a legitimate one. I'd like to send a money order to buy a copy of HALO 2600 and I need a mailing address to do it. This option should be available as well.

Better quality Activision and Atari commercials

Yeah, I was using VLC Media Player until I found out that Windows Media Player on my Windows Vista computer can play FLV videos from places like YouTube. For quickly downloading videos from YouTube and other web sites, I have completely switched to the Firefox add-on called DownloadHelper. No copying and pasting, no failed attempts to download the video, just click on the dropdown menu, select the FLV file and you're done. Interesting that Microsoft decided FLV was a defacto container for video for including that in Vista. I've had problems with Download Helper on certain less well known websites for video files. I also tried the video download plugin without a lot of success - it kept popping ads while trying to download and not doing anything. If there's a new version, I might try it again. Love Firefox, btw. Great software. -

For downloading clips off Youtube, I use these sites, and they don't require plug ins: http://www.keepvid.com/ http://www.clipnabber.com/ Keepvid works with a good number of sites. You paste the URL they show you into the box, tell it which site you're grabbing from, click on Download, and the page finds the link for you. Then you can rick click and rename the file with a new name and FLV extension. Clipnabber is good for Dailymotion. Other sites might require other software. I had to temporarily install something for grabbing a clip off Canadian Broadcasting's page. OTHER STUFF for PCs: SDP Multimedia has a nice utility for grabbing streaming Windows Media content. There are grabbers for streaming Real Media, but I find that content to be of lower quality. eRightsoft makes SUPER© and will convert those FLV Flash Video files to other formats, including but not limited to DVD ready VOBs. And if you don't have VLC, then you're missing out. It can play FLVs without conversion first. DVDs too! Have fun!!
