great, thanks for the info.
i'll tackle both paddles and joystick with a screw driver and trip to radio shack. although i may have more questions when i get started...
-
Is it possible to fix jittery paddles? (presumably by taking them apart and cleaning them)
I have a joystick that is "stuck" in the up position. So, for example, in Combat the tank always moves forward. Is it possible to fix this?

-
I recently picked up a coleco telstar ranger with a lot of Atari 2600 stuff. I think the seller probably thought the console was just another joystick for the 2600 or something.
Anyways, how valuable and how scarce is the coleco telstar ranger?? Mine is near complete, only missing one cable I believe. No box.

megamania is my favorite atari 2600 game. the graphics and sounds completely rock. plus you get to make up new names for the space objects like "goldfish" crackers instead of orange bowties, and "mint oreos" for objects 1 level 2.
my high score is only around 160,000. i guess i have lots of work cut out for me!

megamania, a space nightmare

do you have a link to your auctions???

best place to go in this area is the walden super fleawhat state is that in? thanks.

wow, what a haul! congrats!!!

LOL.
I guess it was worth the $.30 listing fee to have a laugh.

yeah, it's great that you posted the photos.
you've help assuage our concerns. if you read
the other posts in this forum, you can see that
one quadrun auction was definitely fraudulent.
if you've never sold on ebay, fyi, reserve auctions
don't generally get many bids. but you obviously
need to protect your carts and not sell them for $1.
if they don't meet reserve and you relist them, i
suggest putting no reserve but a minimum bid of
whatever you require (eg, $200, $400, whatever).

i never have any problems with my pitfall 2 cart on my 2600...
good luck trying to figure it out. maybe buy another pitfall 2 and try it out.
-
1. the auction ended early. maybe the seller backed out of his fraudulent auction
Started Aug-12-02 22:35:49 PDT
Ends Aug-13-02 23:47:39 PDT
2. the winning bidder looks like a shill bidder, with 0 feedback before this auction.
3. the seller left this suspicious feedback about the winning bidder.

Praise : Decided not to buy the game after all...But had good reason

i sent a short email asking for photos and he never replied...

I do NOT have a QUADRUN auction on ebay
but I do have some scarce (3) and scarce+ (4) auctions on ebay, such as FAST FOOD, COCONUTS, CALIFORNIA GAMES, PLANET PATROL, STAR WARS ESB, etc. They are all individual carts with an opening bid of $1. Perfect for small and medium collectors to add to their collection.

this one looks suspicious.
-
River patrol has a different background than the others.
Since the photos were obviously taken with a digital camera, maybe the seller should provide more photos from different angles just to verify that he, in fact, has possession of the carts.
0 feedback is kind of fishy.

the TI 4A 99 had a speech synthesizer accessory unit! a friend of mine had it and it was really cool. you could write phonetically spelled words and get speech back.

I found a toy and game dealer in my city that has vintage games, among many action figures, robots, etc. It was a great find.
He had a bunch of Atari 2600 carts and sold them each for $3 firm. The consoles were kind of pricey at $50 with 10 carts.
I picked up five carts rated scarce 3 or scarce+ 4. So that's pretty good, I guess.
No shipping charges involved!Solar Fox
Outer Space (with graphic label)
Towering Inferno
Racquetball
Space Cavern
Maybe I'll find a 5-10 rarity cart on my next visit!

-
For that much, I'd expect a free forklift to be included!
"THERE IS OPPROX 8-9 BOXES FOR THIS AUCTIONS BOXES WEIGH 33LBS-40LBS SHIPPING FOR EACH WILL BE $25.00 FOR EACH"
that comes to $200+ shipping!

wow! i wonder where the seller got the games. obviously neither the seller nor the previous owner knew the value of quadrun...Seller said he got 60 boxed Atari games for about $2 each at an estate auction. (I emailed him) He had no idea any of the games were particularly valuable.

wow again! my best find to date has been miner 2049er loose cartridge for $2.99 at a thrift store!

I'm interested. I recently acquired a boxed odyssey 3000 without the manual. Maybe we could make a trade?Sure. Do you have a list of 2600 cartridges you have for trade? Or do you want to make me an offer? Click "email" under my message and send me an email. Cheers, brett6400

I received an Odyssey 3000 console manual with a lot of Atari stuff that I recently bought. If anyone is looking for the manual only (I don't have the console), drop me a line.
