The "CX" in Atari CX-2600 means that all Atari games are compatible with Microsoft's X-Box game system. "C" stands for "compatible" and "X" stands for "X-Box". In the Microsoft's haste to get their product to market, Mr. Softie forgot to add the cartridge slot on the recently released console. However, a July 2002 press announcement states that a slot for Atari 2600 cartridges will be available on the upcoming X-Box 2. Read the announcement: http://www.microsoft.com/pressreleases/xbo...hatari2600.html (just kidding!) brett6400

Hello. I went to a huge, mile-long, outdoor antiques and collectibles fair this weekend in Brimfield, MA. It had hundreds of dealers. I walked the entire mile-long fair and didn't find any Atari items, or even more recent Nintendo! I did find a few dealers selling "pop culture" stuff like Dukes of Hazzard lunchboxes and Pez dispensers, but no Atari! I doubt the items would have been at a good price anyway, unless a non-Atari dealer happened to have a random box of stuff to sell.

Sorry I missed the contest, but the solutions are really interesting to read!

Does anyone know of good flea markets in New England (Boston) for Atari 2600? Specifically, if any of you know of an Atari 2600 system with 120 games for sale for $10 at any flea market, let me know. brett6400

Thanks everyone for your responses. I'm up for hitting the thrift stores and garage sales. Does anyone know where to find a list of garage sales in New England? I don't see listings in the Boston Globe, etc. Short of just randomly driving around all weekend, there has to be a listing somewhere published weekly. brett6400

Hi everyone! Where are the best places to find Atari 2600 consoles and cartridges? Garage sales, thrift stores, surplus sales, etc.? Of course, eBay. I live around Boston and don't see many Atari 2600s for sale in The Want Advertiser. brett6400
