  1. I talked to the guy with the NJ Collection on Craiglist, Fred, this morning. The whole collection was purchased and picked up Friday evening (2017-10-13). He said his wife was happy that it was all gone. I told him my wife was probably happy that I didn't buy it. We both laughed. Somebody (D) got a nice collection. I suspect we will see some of it at Vintage Computer Festival East in the spring. --Bill
  2. I've had them for a few years, at least. Probably not more then 5 years. Bill
  3. @Joe Stella - How is planning coming along for your Nov Atari Party? --Bill
  4. I don't know what your talking about .... but if I did, I'd try loading the attached .com file as a boot image in Altirra. Bill dealersx.zip
  5. I see the ebay auction has been updated to remove the "try to find another one anywhere" comment.
  6. I really should open the box and scan that manual!
  7. On the A8, I use my driving controller with Tempest Elite and it works great. Other than that, I only use it for Indy 500 on the VCS.
  8. Wow. I guess my unopened one must be worth a million dollars! :-) I'll have to watch that one. Thanks Bill
  9. I wrote a new blog post on the Atari In-Store Demonstration program, including both the CLX4019 cartridge version and the CX8117 diskette version: I also uploaded a bunch of related content to archive.org in the last couple of days. Enjoy. Bill
  10. Yes. It was modified by Paul Rickards for composite output. In the pictures, he is the one in the AT/DT No Carrier t-shirt.
  11. Stuart Smith's classic 1981 release Ali Baba And The Forty Thieves, an early hack and slash dungeon crawl, has theme music, though, it is short and repetitive after awhile.
  12. In ATARI BASIC you would have to do 30 PRINT "HOW MANY GAMES"; : INPUT Q 40 IF Q < 11 THEN GOTO 60 (I think)
  13. He is entering the solution into a Abbuc contest this fall. To be eligible for the contest, the solution must appear first for the contest. I believe they will be available shortly afterward.

  15. You guys rock! I just set up a RetroPie to play games on as well.
  16. The link isn't broken, but you probably need to be both logged into Facebook AND on the invite list to see it. If you would like to attend, send me your email address and/or Facebook id and I'll add you to the invite. As the event is at my house, I want to keep track of how many people are planning on showing up so that we are prepared. :-) Bill
  17. #AtariPartyEast2017 Randy Kindig is sending Nir Dary's Multi-Link networking hardware, so we should have some networked 8-bit games set up as well! Also scheduled to make an appearance are: Mike Montana, co-author of the Atari 2600 game GLIB. Robert 'Ferg' Ferguson, host of the Atari 2600 Game By Game Podcast. Paul Rickards, creator of the WiFi232 Internet Modem and the Hayes Chronograph WiFi upgrade. ... and others These guys will be in attendance as well: Should be a interesting, entertaining and fun time! Bill
  18. Joe, if you are planning on having an 8-bit only event, let me know as I'd love to come and help out anyway I can. Can never have enough Atari events! As some of you already know, I'm hosting an Atari Party East at my house on Sat Sept 9th. Its been 'advertised' on FB and Twitter and word of mouth with folks I know from Vintage Computer Festivals, etc. Its open to all Atari products from arcade to pinball, from consoles to computers. We already have good representation from ST, 8-bits, 2600, 5200, including bloggers and podcasters, etc. I have a dozen or so arcade video games and most of the 8-bit computers. If your interested, send me your email or fb id and I'll send you the details. Note that "A Video Game Con" is taking place the same weekend (Sept 9/10) as ATARI Party East in "nearby" Parsippany, NJ. Also note that the Coleco Expo is taking place in Edison NJ on Aug 5/6. I wasn't going to go to this event, but Tim Lapetino will be there signing his books, so I might be going to support the vendors and artists. Bill
  19. Nice work gentlemen. I'm looking forward to the release as well.
