i dont really know how we could make this happen scrumpy but id love to help u out in any way i can be of asstance have u got any ideas?? maybe we could e-mail your idea to the AA head guys or make a site of our own to do as uv suggested and then get AA to put up a link some where...hmm... what do u think???? and whats 100 uk pounds worth in canadain or american do u know????Think the best thing would be first to see what the AA guy's think of the idea, if it can be incorporated in the AA site then I personally feel thats the best thing.
Let's do that and see what happens.

i think thats a good idea im sure most of us have all over paid at one time or another
4sure chap. Just looking for a black 2600 boxed at the mo and the all seem to be going for about £100 UK pounds! Think this could help out there and normalise some of these inflated costs I'm seeing.

awesome idea scrumpy i know i recently got 12 games ALL with boxes AND books for 5$ canadian and that bunch also had a atari jr with box and book in it aswell i got it all at a local thrift shop but i know this was a one in a life time type deal i usally pick my games up for 2.50 each canadain but i dont know how that translates to your moneySounds like you got a great deal there!.. I'm spending about 1-2 UK pounds per cart, and only boxed if I can help it. How do we go about elevating this to the AA site owners and perhaps make this happen?

Starting to pick up some of the 2600 games I used to have many years ago from a number of sources. Now, like most people I try to pay as less as possible for anything and use some common sense when it comes to paying a little more than £2-4 per cart.
Has anyone put together a list of carts with suggested pricing? depending on country, condition, and rarity? I'm sure it would help those like me.
Perhaps (only a suggestion!) AtariAge could add a few fieds when those people who have bought a cart could input the price they paid again, and over time we could see an average price appear?
Any thoughts...

Better start sandbagging... here comes the flood....
In the meantime, you can find some information here:
http://www.atariage.com/2600/archives/consoles.html
The model identified simply as the "Atari 2600" is the Darth Vader. Same as the 4-switch woodgrain but with an "all-black" look.
Thanks for the response, I did look at that page but there didn't seem to be anything related (apart from the woodys) to the black 2600.
Wanted to know raelly about how rare, typical buy price for it today, how many were made etc... any problems/faults/features over the standard woody?..
Cheers,
Stu

I didn't even know there was such a thing! Haven't heard them mentioned before or even seen them on AA.
