  1. Hi Mock. I forgot to ask, what questions do you have about the gatefold games. In my "quest" to get all of them(I just about had them all), the hardest one and highest dollar one was Star Ship. I bought it for $20.00 and sold it for $25.00 1 year later. In my opinion the gatefold are the best!!!!! I have a show case that is 7' tall x 5' wide x 1 1/2 foot deep, with the gate folds on the next to top shelf(eye level). It looked great!!!! Sears had 9 gatefold games as Atari did also. Sega did Tac Scan in gatefold also, I was told(I don't know for sure) that all Sega boxes were gatefold.

Atari age has a page with the Sears gatefold games on it. I'll try to find it.

  2. I have a few gatefolds. I have by Atari:Combat, BlackJack and Video Olympics. By Sears: Target Fun and Tank Plus. I will take $35.00 plus shipping. All of them are in VERY good condition. If you e-mail me, I'll try to get a picture out to you. I had just about all of them about 6 months ago, but I have gotten in the mood to get out of collecting :( . I love the hunt for games.....any game, any system. Just let me know.

I also have 2 more Combat gatefolds for $4.00 each plus shipping. If you don't have the gatefolds in your collection, you are missing a very imporant part of Atari collecting. These games look great setting in the display cabinet half opened.

  3. The only thing that I found was a Sega Genesis' with the CD attachment 2 controllers, the power supply, the tv hook up and 3 CD games for $50.00. I'll let it set for a couple of weeks and he should come down a lot. I got a Atari JR. from him 2 years ago and 15 boxed games for $20.00. I found that if you find something that you want, wait a couple weeks and then IF it's still there, offer what you think it's worth. I have found out that most of the venders at my local flea market will deal with you. I have 1 person in the area where I live that sometimes get to a hot spot before I do :x .

  4. I had a weird situation a few month's back. I was selling 2 Atari 2600's with 20 games each. I cleaned both systems and all of the games. I hook one Atari up to the TV and stared testing. Out of the 40 games, about 10 or 15 wouldn't play on the system, then I hook the other system up and tested all of the games. About the same results, about 10 or 15 games didn't play on it. What I found out was, some of the games would play on one system, but not the other. I ended up with the carts with the system that they worked with. Everything turned out great. Has anyone else had a simular situation?

  5. Take a paddle apart and put it in a cup of alcohol, and see how much Junk comes out of it. I was supprised at how much came out of mine. I'll try it your way and see if I can get them to work.

  6. I hope someone can help me get this joystick fixed. I have never seen one like this before. To me it looks like a joystick for a TRS-80 computer, but it is a little older than that. Please look and see if anyone knows how to work on these. The problem is the fire button is broke and comes apart.

  7. To get the rubbing alcohol in the pot's good, don't open them, take the pot's out of the case and get a cup that they will fit in and fill it up a little past mid way. Stick the pot's in and let it set a little while. I have tried every way to get my paddles to work including the electronic cleaner, but nothing will get these jitter free. I have about 10 sets, but only 1 set works. :(

  8. I'm sorry if this sounds like a cheap E-Bay ad ( I don't mean for it to be), but I'd like to get a good rareity rating on this game. The games name is Action Pak, the one like Star Raiders, with 3 white boxes inside the one big thick box. The reason that I'm doing this is because I think it's alot hard to find than most 7 and 8 games. I've had a lot easier time getting several Gas Hogs, ect. than this one. I've been looking for the Back to School Pak and the Race Pak for about 1 1/2 years now and still have not found any. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Tony
