@Morelenmir you've been more than helpful... no worries about that! as soon as I fired up Altirra I thought this is where I'd get stuck I've got the chip out and ready to go - I've already read the chip and looked for some text to make sure it read it properly and it has... just needed a rom file to burn This part seems a lot easier for me. @fjc Thanks! Morelenmir, For fear of burning down my house somehow, would you be able to make a package for me that I can use to upload with my new TL866A (thanks for the info btw)? I have an incognito fyw... I just would like a safe starting point before I go mucking around on my own to see what trouble I get into

@FJC - I dont know why the drama but I'll be honest that I am pretty low knowledge in the atari area so I'm sure I missed something in this thread. I have been in computers since the atari's came out and im a windows server engineer now but I still flashed two incognitos into the grave At any rate, I just ordered one of the programmers that morelenmir suggested. I've always wanted one but never had the use before today! lol @morelenmir Thanks for knowing about the books! haha...loved them when I was younger, time for me to start re-reading them I might hit you up later if I need assistance with the programmer if thats ok? ok... I give up.... I tried flashing my new incognito with the ibios.rom. I was able to get it to a local partition (after running fatfs.sys - i think thats what it was)... anyhow, I brought all the files over from the zip in post 348. I renamed uflash.xex to uf.xex, ran that and then tried to update the bios... after I selected the bios file the screen got corrupt at the bottom and appeared to just hang... I thought maybe I need to power cycle... after I did I got just a red screen... im toast, right? I have another incognito but I tried updating that one (got the pbi updated) and I cant get it to recognize the partitions on my cf card... yeah, I know I'm a mess... any way I can fix the one with the newer pbi and then somehow swap the chips out while its running to flash the bad one? use to work with motherboards back in the day... edit: scratch that... tried flashing the second one and that one is down too... Not very intuitive for me so I guess I need to buy a TC866CS kit as well....

I'm in US / Illinois (60013 area code)... the box is pretty gnarly and flaking off on the back side - I'll get some pics tonight if I have time but I dont think its worth spending the money to ship overseas, personally... I dont want anything for the box, just dont have room for it. Anyone have an extra 800 working keyboard BTW?

I've got the foam and the silver box (thats pretty banged up) if someone wants it....

I'd love a 400 version to exist as well but I fear Candle doesnt have time to do anymore runs of the 800 version let alone design one for the 400. Candle, since the board is already designed(for the 800 version) cant we order it from the source and just add the necessary components?

I would also be in for a spare to my spare.... oh, and another vote for the 400 version

Its in the garage and its FREEZING in chicago land. I'll get pics when I can, I cant remember exactly but I think I have the 800, 810 (I think) and 850 boxes with the styrofoam, docs, disks and what not.
