Just a quick question Had the motherboard on my original nes go out yesterday and on my backup unit the 72 pin connector needs to be replaced (been one of those weeks). I was wanting to know if www.nesrepairshop.com was a good place for the parts their prices seem good but never heard of them before and want to get both of these up and running in the next week and a half figured Id ask advice on if thats a good place for parts or if not if there is a good place to order from besides ebay.

Never ran the plastic shells through the dishwater but that is a great idea have had people ask me how my atari 2600 still looked new my secret is carefully use krudkutter followed by orange windex it shines just like new smells good to lol. If only someone could release another wood paneled console.

Getting closer picked up a ngpc flash writer off of craigslist it was listed on free stuff but sadly there is no flashcard but hey 50% closer than I was

No idea if they are rare I have a box full of atari high score patches for jackets and stuff from back in the day (the ones where you took a polaroid of the screen and sent it in to atari hq )

If we are talking about video games all of mine will be donated to classic video game/ arcade galleries don't know which one whoever buries me can figure that one out. All of my other stuff money house cars bank accounts etc will be split between my children and grandchildren

Never understood video game collections Sure I still buy games that I want for the 2600 5200 7800 nes sega master system snes and sega gen but I dont ever plan on owning every game ever made for any of these consoles just the ones that I personally like or that the art on the cart/box is really cool and unique even if the game sucks and just sits on a shelf. So owns alot of older video games but doesnt consider myself a collector just someone who likes to kill times with a ton of diffrent styled video games 800 or so for congo bongo lol it might be worth it as a rarity but Id never pay that price for any video game
-
if someone could make good nes ports of these Id buy them
Charlie Chucks Food Fight
Centipede / Millipede multicart
asteroids arcade port
Super Pacman / pacjr multicart
Digger
Yes I know between the atari 2600 - 7800 and coleco and flashback consoles I could play these but I think these games would really shine high on the Nes 8 bit anyways just giving ideas to the guys and gals wanting to develop something for the nes.

Anyone know of a emulator for this starwars trilogy 1998 sega knows it doesnt work in mame but is there any lesser known emulators that can emulate this without major problems?

Thanks for the info to bad bung went out of business but off to ebay and a few other places I shall go in regards to it being a dinosaur flash card I didnt expect it to be the height of technology being 10 years old and all. Ill let ya know if I yield any results on it and how much they go for if interested.

Maybe all ps1's are not created equal used cdrw's in my old one many of times not a issue in sight the only problem Ive ever had with cdrws and ps1's are they seem to get data corruption after the first month and the cdr last for a few years with no issues ps2 modded has used for ps1 games cd-r's and some rws worked fine and used damaged ps2 games I have bought and been able to burn over to a dvd-r run perfectly doesnt own a ps3 but it should yield same results

If I had to take a crack at it this would be my guess on the best selling video game consoles of all time
1. Atari 2600
2. NES
3. Gameboy (original monochrome)
4. Playstation 1
5. Sega Gen
6. Xbox
7. Nintendo Gamecube
8. Gameboy color
9. SNES
10. Colecovision or atari 5200 (pretty much a draw) coleco could play 2600 games with adapter 5200 could play 2600 games both were somewhat popular at their time but didnt draw in a huge marketshare like other consoles but they had to have had a bigger market share than the other consoles from the 70's 80's 90's and early 2000's ***PS2 ps3 x360 and wii were not listed*** as the ps2 I dont think got as big of a marketshare to qualify it as best selling all time all the others even though they are doing well are to new and to early to tell hit me up in 10 years for my opinions on current day consoles)
These are my opinions I do not claim to be right or know it all but this is how I would rate them factual rating based on sells if anyone does the research for the wiki might get a complete diffrent story

I was just wondering if anyone knew what type of flash card the neo geo pocket color takes finding zero information on the internet found alot for gameboy advance color psp etc but not for the neo geo pocket color. Am really interested in playing the jap and euro titles that were never released in the states and also interested in playing alot of the homebrew games on the real hardware instead of just having them emulated as I do now. Any help would be great
Thanks

Is in Nashville most of the classic game shops (for video games) are gone they got bought up by gamestop 3 + years ago and the remaining ones went out of buisness shortly after but there is a solution craigslist in nashville is a classic gamers haven. In the past 2 months Ive seen prototypes and massive bulk sellings of atari 2600 games. Best bet a few weeks before you come down post in the wanted section and youll probaly have alot of people contact you good luck to you
-
Easy fix for the ps1 games if they are damaged skip etc but are readable enough for use in your cd /dvd writer burn a iso image of the game in question plenty of programs to use for it the two I use for the bulk of iso images are nero and isomagic Once you get a copy of the iso image saved to your computer burn it onto a cdr or cdrw (cdr's seem to last longer for some reason) but both work. Note if you are using a ps2 or ps3 to play your ps1 games then you will need a modded one if you are using a ps1 you just need a simple ps1 boot cd and swap out the boot cd with the newly burned backup. But to answer another question why are ps1 games almost always trashed unlike cartridges that are almost impossible to kill cds 10+ years old for the bulk of the titles have been played hard by many a diffrent person scratched dropped etc so they are in rough shape by this point inless you luck out and find a private seller that has been really careful with the games.

Or alternate route forgo the converter as they are getting hard to find so if you dont have one already can be a lengthly process. My thoughts on playing fami games on the reg nes hop over to retrousb.com and grab a red plastic cartridge and blank boards dump or download the fami roms some soldering required and a eprom writer and make your own homebrew fami to nes cart. If that is not an option dont have the skill or time to do it 2 places to check out that can do it for you for 25 bucks a pop (not to bad considering ebaying the fami cart and finding a converter can cost you more) gamereproductions.com & nesreproductions.com
hope that gives you a alt route if you are having problems finding a converter

I prefer to use the a/v connections for these systems makes for easier connects and disconnects and unlike the days past you don't compromise the cable signal by tying in a bunch of systems to the coaxial I have the adapters to run them through the coaxial. But main tv I use them with the a/v connect is just fine secondary tv that I use for the light gun output on my systems has issues with the av connecting through modulator since that tv is lacking the a/v inputs. So I guess Ill hook these up with their respective adapters through the coaxial on that tv and just use the av input on the main tv not the route I was trying for but thats life.
-
The modulator is just a generic one that radio shack sells have a dvd player plugged into works perfectly ps2 when plugged into it works perfectly just the classic consoles nes snes and master system all come up b&w just kinda stumped on it. Plugs them into the av slots on my den tv and everything works fine so I know the systems are working as they should. My only thoughts have been that for whatever reason the modulator isnt compatible with them and I need the offical rf connection that leaves everything less than portable between tv's

yard sale find to bad the owners arent selling it
