Back in the day my roomies and I consistantly got 95-110,000. We were playing around once and found that there is a max amount of cash you can have, too... it wraps over, and you lose all the excess. Don't remember the exact amount, but I think it was around 65535 (naturally). But it might have also been 49152.... Try yourself! Have one game w/4 "players" where everyone buys at VASTLY inflated prices off one person.

FM is one of my all time faves! Too bad I've yet to beat it. But Data Age really did good with this one.....

The cable might look the same, but trust me.... they're different. You'll kill your SID chip. The C= cable has 3 rca outputs... luma/chroma/audio.

Easily in the top 5 of games on the C64 Gollumer ALWAYS river plot first! Crystite, unless playing 4 people (no CPU)! My former roomie was a big Bonzoid man. That's why I usually beat him.

I can't imagine how long it'll take to hit 1000 posts, much less that times 5.

In short, it usually isn't advantageous for you to mine your own Smithore. With two computer players you will almost never corner the Smithore market. That said, buy as many units (up to 50, the rest will spoil) at any amount under $50 you can... it sometimes will go from $36-$43. If the store has a fire, you can sell even at $50 and make a few bucks. Or just keep it to add to your "Goods" total. Use the fact that the computer will sell at ANY price if he has less than $1000 to your benefit! Or, more deviously, if you load up on Smithore then cut the computer players off by not selling them any energy for a round or two (so their plots of land sit idle, provided they aren't making enough energy themselves) and then release all the MULEs, you could drive the price up nicely. But if they get energy somehow, that could backfire. And if the store has much Smithore in stock (2 units=1 MULE), this could be very expensive.

I'll keep ya in mind if I ever make it to the left coast! :wink:
