This is why almost every part of our economy is essential. You can't just shut down what some bureaucrat deems non-essential without affecting everything else. 

My company was declared an essential service as well.

I've been working from home for two weeks and it's driving me bonkers.

My supervisor has his hands full working on-site doing physical work, so I've told him I am happy to come onsite to give a helping hand.

We're waiting for executive approval, but I've been told that that probably won't happen anytime soon.

We've been relegated to some weird grey area.. I was told we were going to reopen today, but on a 'voluntary basis'. This makes no sense to me. I thought if we were 'essential' we would all have to show up, and if we weren't, we would all be expected to stay home. Needless to say, I'm holed up at home.
