  1. Suicide Adventure and Misadventures Revisited. They are made by Randy (Hozer). This is his link http://www.hozervideo.com/ . Some of the folks here despise him, I think his stuff is great, especially those two games. Suicide Adventure is a hack. It was made by George Veeder, not Randy (Hozer) Crihfield. I don't know if Randy has rights to sell this game or not, but a Google search only shows it on his "Personal List". I didn't find much info on Misadventures Revisited.
  2. I am not aware of the history on this matter either. I just read through the first 50 issues of 2600 Connection and read Randy was one of the first to help put games on carts for people to play. Not sure what happened and when it happened though. It has been claimed that Randy will make cartridges while knowing that the programmer does not want him to. See this. Medieval Mayhem is not a hack. If what is said about him is true (and it looks like it is), do you really want to support him and encourage such behavior? Here's a post from the same thread I linked to above. That's an old, unpleasant story (if you search AtariAge, you will find multiple threads about this). Randy knows that he has no right to put my games on carts. Since I cannot (and also don't want to) control if he is selling carts without permission, I can only appeal to his customers. Every homebrew which is pirated harms the developer and therefore, since there will be less new homebrews developed, harms the whole community.
  3. What is NFWS? Shouldn't that be NSFW?
  4. I made this with Microsoft Paint. It's a little sloppy in places.
  5. EggVenture 2600 is a new homebrew that is being tested. I sometimes have troubles figuring out what I'm supposed to do, but it's a well written game and should be a lot of fun for people who enjoy a challenge. Atari allowed a Chinese company to license their name to make the Flashback 3. AtariAge members are not impressed. Is was not made by Legacy. Legacy wasn't even told about it before it appeared at E3. Read more at Dig That Box. Software rendering may be removed from future versions of Stella so that it will be easier for Stephen to work on it. Trying to keep up with two different rendering methods not only makes updates more difficult, but causes frustration which takes away from the enjoyment of working on it. The prototype for Going-Up? was released. This didn't get a lot of attention from other members here, but I was impressed with Batari's test release of an ARM file that gives a pause feature using the Color/B&W switch for 2k or 4k games when using the development tab to program the Harmony cart. When it pauses, it also saves where you're at and this can be restored later (if you don't turn off the Atari). There is now an NTSC hack for Panda Chase. I fixed the diagonal control bug in Gefährliche Mäusejagd (aka Hole Hunter, Mole Control, Mole Hunter & Topy).
  6. I think the Harmony label is very nice. I was disappointed that my SD card didn't have a Harmony label, but you nicely explained that to me when I mentioned it before. I am completely satisfied with what I got. I don't see a need for LEDs on a 2600/7800 SD cart. All you got extra was a cable? (That was a rhetorical question.) In addition to the cable, I got an SD card and a manual. [attempted humor]I also got a box, but it was for the wrong cartridge.... Some game called Priority Mail.[/attempted humor] (Seriously, I'm glad it didn't come with a box. It would just be an unnecessary added expense.) So far, the 32k limit has not been a problem for me. However, if ROMs for games like Chetiry (48KB as of 09 April 2011) are released, it will make me wish I had more memory. This information surprised me. I had thought that it was the other way around.... that the 32k was so the Harmony would have a feasible price while the Melody could work with more memory than the Harmony has. I guess by that you mean that you wanted to ensure that games could be released on a standard Melody cart, since I think Melody carts can have more than 32k. The Chetiry blog page that I linked to above says, "The new Melody hardware also inspired me to include digitized music throughout the game, based on the Pitfall-2 technique." I may be wrong, but I thought this implied that Chetiry (48KB) would be released on the Melody. The Melody's store page also says, "Additionally, Melody boards can be built with a 128K Flash chip, replacing the Melody's standard 32K of Flash memory." I appreciate those who work on Atari hardware and software. Thanks to everyone who contributes to the hobby.
  7. What you read might have been this.
  8. In the H2 thread, Batari said: My regular Harmony cartridge is great. So if I decide to buy an sd cart for the 7800, I would want it to be made by the same people. Since I haven't used any other flash carts, I don't know how the ones made by Atarimax operate. After writing that, I read the Formatting your SD Card page from the Atarimax website and watched the following video and was impressed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYYFeFItX5w Still, I'd go with the Harmony 2, because I know more about it.
  9. Well, if someone could to that, that would be very, very cool...! I agree, that would be cool. It looks like a fun game, but I don't have an iPhone. So I'd like to see a version for the 2600.
  10. Thanks. That worked. I sent you a private message about the game.
  11. It's a fun game, but I can't figure out where the last two eggs are.
  12. Here they are on Atarimania: Milton Bradley Company Canadian Spitfire Attack Survival Run
  13. I've wondered about that before too, but decided there probably wasn't a way to do it. Maybe I was wrong though. There is the "Watch Topic" button, but I only think that works for emails.
  14. I don't know what is on that cartridge, but your question made me think of Ature.

    YAY!

I think he meant to say this: "Speaking of contests, does AtariAge ever have contests where people win stuff?" I don't know about AtariAge itself, but members of AtariAge can have their own contests here. Toiletunes did one about two months ago. It is closed now, but here is the link: CLOSED Atari 2600 Mystery Cart Giveaway Contest
  16. Thanks Rom Hunter and Scott Stilphen. This doesn't appear to do much, but it's still nice when unreleased ROMs become available.
  17. I tried this with Bob Montgomery's Elevators Amiss and it worked great. If you pause at the wrong time, sometimes the sound will keep playing, but this didn't happen enough to be a problem. The screen display worked fine. I noticed that the joystick could still control her a tiny bit while paused. I thought that was kind of neat. Also I once paused it at the moment the timer was about to decrease and it looked like it was going back and forth between the two numbers. None of that is meant to be a complaint. It worked fine. I'm just giving feedback. I suppose you know this, but just in case.... When I turned the Atari off and back on and tried to do a restore, it would not restore the game. Instead, the screen went black. Anyway, I like what you've done with this and it was the first thing to motivate me to hook my Harmony up to the computer and install the software. Thanks. EDIT: I tried it with Omegamatrix's Panda Chase (NTSC) conversion and the screen kind of rolled when paused (I'm not sure "rolled" is the right term). Due to how buggy the original Panda Chase is, this doesn't really surprise my. Otherwise it worked good. I could restore the saved game if I didn't turn off the power. Restoring after cycling the power didn't work right, but behaved differently than Elevators Amiss. The screen would roll even after un-pausing and it didn't restore to where I saved it. Pressing the left fire button would stop the rolling, but the high score had incorrect data.
  18. This exact message was also posted here.
  19. If you use a Mozilla browser, you can turn Javascript on/off for whichever websites you want with NoScript. I normally have Javascript turned on for AtariAge, but turned it off to verify that thread preview doesn't happen. I'm also making this reply with it off. http://noscript.net/
  20. Step 1 Go to Atari's Wall on Facebook. Then click on "Most Recent".... or just try this link. Step 2 Scroll down. If you don't find your post by the time you get to the bottom of the page, click "Older Posts" and repeat step 2.
  21. Yes. -Highlight the game's name on the menu. -Click "Options" -Click "Game Properties" -Click "Controller" tab -Change P1 Controller to AtariVox or SaveKey
  22. I found three of your posts: June 26 at 8:46pm June 25 at 8:25pm June 17 at 3:08am You may have to click Most Recent or Top Posts to see posts other than those made by Atari: Either way, they aren't answering your questions.
