As far as I can tell, I got all the colors converted. If you notice any I missed, let me know. The scanlines are not right. This is not a proper NTSC hack. It may not really be considered NTSC50 either, but I called it that because it isn't correct for NTSC. This is the ASM and BIN with 291 scanlines line Zoo Fun. That's all I plan to do on it for tonight. Panda_NTSC50_hack.zip

I can't edit my last upload of the ASM and it has a mistake I just noticed. I changed byte $FE41 to $1E for testing and forgot to change it back to $00.
-
I've been searching for colors. Here's the ASM with what I've got so far. Panda.zip UPDATE: I've gotten NTSC colors for all of the main screen except for the score & whatever is at the bottom that is the same color. Also the game-over-background-color hasn't been changed yet.

Here are some notes that I made before I gave up on Panda Chase. (It starts with MD5s and filenames. Then compares those 5 ROMs.) 82bf0dff20cee6a1ed4bb834b00074e6 *Der hungrige Panda - Panda (Quest) (AKA Panda Chase) (1983) (Quelle) (731.662 3 - 550425) (PAL).bin 0e713d4e272ea7322c5b27d645f56dd0 *Panda Chase (Penda Chase) (1983) (Home Vision - Gem International Corp.) I also have this note: (Original values on the left and new values on the right.) That must be a typo, because Stella 3.4 is reporting 284 scanlines today. Irregardless, you can't see the bottom of the screen with those settings. I'm a novice, so I may be wrong, but I came to the conclusion that more would have to be changed than what I did with Gefaehrliche Maeusejagd (changing the value before STA TIM64T). Although I haven't played Panda Chase much, it looks like the part that I mark with green in the picture below could be eliminated if a person could track down where that is in the program.

Dangerous Mouse Hunt (Gefaehrliche Maeusejagd hack)
dwane413 replied to dwane413's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
I don't know the reason, but I noticed corn was mentioned a few times in different threads. So I thought I'd make a corn hack. The graphics could be better, but I'm not that great of an artist. The ZIP file has NTSC, PAL & PAL60 versions plus the same instructions as below. Dangerous_Corn.zip This is just a silly hack of Gefaehrliche Maeusejagd (Dangerous Mouse Hunt). Dangerous Corn -------------- Your genetically altered corn crop has turned against you. Whenever an ear of corn grows, it comes alive and starts running around. You must take your hammer and kill them. While you run around the garden, don't get too close to the tops of the plants. If you do, they will grab and eat you. For each ear of corn you kill, you get 100 points. If they touch you before you kill them, you lose points. If you think you have problems, you should see your neighbor's corn. Every now and then an ear of corn will wander into your garden from his crop. While it may look less harmful, these smaller ears are deadly, but if you are skillful enough to kill them first, you get 500 points. Sometimes you will get tired and drop your hammer. When you do, just wait. It will reappear and you can go pick it up. -
My computer is over five years old, but I don't see how me using it is any more stubborn then it is for me to use an Atari 2600 instead of a PS3 or Wii. Perhaps instead of asking for a Harmony cartridge for Christmas, I should have asked for a Wii and moved into the 21st century. OpenGL does not run as fast as software rendering on my HP Compaq Presario SR1620NX (Sempron 2GHz, 512MB RAM, 160GB HDD). Twice while using OpenGL with Stell 3.4, my computer would act strange for a little bit and then show this message: (I updated my display driver on May 9, 2011.) I have no problem with Stephen dropping software rendering. For what I've paid for Stella (nothing), I can't complain. It is a great emulator and I want Stephen to go with whatever makes him happy. If future versions won't work on this old computer, I can continue using an old version. New versions might work better on my laptop which is a little over two years old.

In case the original poster missed the link in my earlier post, here it is again: Introducing the Coleco Sagittarius Here's a partial quote: I was tired when I posted it before, so I got lazy and made the link where it wasn't too obvious.

I think it looks cool, but I don't need it. I was curious about something though. Does it have a controller port so that it can be used with 2 players? -
Dangerous Mouse Hunt (Gefaehrliche Maeusejagd hack)

I tried converting Panda Chase to NTSC, but I don't know enough to do it. Glad you like my Dangerous Mouse Hunt hack. Thanks for commenting on it. -

Flashback 3 at E3? Is it real?
dwane413 replied to flammingcowz's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
Out of curiosity, I had to look this up. Here's a quote from Dig That Box: The SD slot was the main thing about it that interested me. -
From Wikipedia: See the parts that I marked here: Is that a plug in the wire? If so, it might be made where you can disconnect it and rotate it 180 degree to reverse the polarity. I'm not sure though.

What is your favorite imagic game on the atari 2600
dwane413 replied to atari5200dude82's topic in Atari 2600
My favorite Imagic games are: Demon Attack Cosmic Ark Quick Step! -
On the tv in the picture, it looks like Dragster with with a horizon and clouds added onto the top.

That is the same as the one in Rom Hunter's V6.0 set: Official Frogger, The (1983) (Starpath Corporation, Stephen Harland Landrum) (9) (AR-4105) ~.bin

Flashback 3 at E3? Is it real?
dwane413 replied to flammingcowz's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
I agree with you. When I implied that it would be best to not buy these, I thought that they were not authorized by Atari. I hope these turn out to be good quality for those who get them. It will be nice to hear more about how they work. EDIT: Spelling. -

+1 I agree. I don't understand what OldSchoolRetroGamer supposedly did wrong except trying to help someone who is unappreciative. -
If there is no simple solution, then don't worry about it. I can pause the game or go to a menu before pressing Alt-Tab. Thanks for the reply.

This was posted to the "z26 3.0" thread: Stella does the same thing when it is in full screen mode with a game running and I use Alt+Tab.

Although the picture of the box on the European pages says 60 games, the description and list only have 50. The games are also different. The 21 games on the European website that aren't on digthatbox.com (I believe all these games are on the FB2 except the ones in red): Adventure II Aquaventure Asteroids Deluxe Atari Climber Caverns of Mars Frog Pond Lunar Lander Major Havoc Pitfall!
