I goofed with my post above. For some unknown reason I was thinking about the Atari 2600. I don't know as much about the 7800. Anyway, part of what I said may have been incorrect in regards to the 7800. Sorry.

I'm not sure if I understand your problem, but maybe this will help. The output from a normal unmodified Atari is not composite and as far as I know, there aren't any Atari's that have been modded for component. If you want more info about that, see this post. You can't plug an Atari into composite or component and expect it to work. You need a Coaxial (F-Type) to Female RCA Adapter or something similar. Then you connect it to the TV antenna input and use channel 2 or 3. If that doesn't work, I've read that some Atari's use UHF. I don't know much about that, but here is a starting point it you want to read about it.

Thanks.

Albert - Why no 2600 roller controllers on controller list?
dwane413 replied to SlowCoder's topic in Atari 2600
It's listed under Trak-Ball. -

Was it from a company that released games in the U.S.? -
Combat and Air-Sea Battle are in stereo. Some other games are mentioned in the "what 2600 games are in stereo?" thread.

See this: Trak-ball? Here is a link to the Missile Command TB hack for the 2600. I've played Fast Food with a trackball before.

Thanks. That seems to have worked nicely. Nice. It is kind of neat to put it on pause until it's gone into screensaver mode. Then take it off pause, but don't touch the joystick. The ghosts start moving and you're in a real game, but it stays in screensaver mode. Is this a bug or more like an easter egg. It doesn't bother me. I don't know. It seems to be alright now.

Keeping Track of the Scanline Count with Stella

Thanks. -
I see now that you mentioned this in the first message. Sorry I forgot. That sounds good to me. Thanks for the reply. You've done a great job with the game.

Here's a bug report. I've seen it a few times on Stella 2.4.2 (old version). Today I saw it on a real 2600 Jr & Harmony cart. You can sometimes go through the power pills without eating them. http://www.ipernity.com/doc/dwane/10469834 Note: I may delete the video off my account after it's no longer needed. If anyone wants to archive it, feel free to. EDIT: I think I'm always using fast-mode when this happens, but don't know if it is related. I like fast-mode, so I use it a lot.

Thanks. I like this sound fix.

I think this thread answers your question: What's the Highest Settings for Batari/Melody Cart?
-
I think what you're looking for is an RF Modulator. Sorry, I got that backwards. You can also get your Atari modded with A/V output. You might search the Hardware forum for "video mod" or "a/v mod" for info. I don't have an Atari with a video mod. So I don't know a lot about them. If you can't find any other way to do it, you might get a second VCR to act as a converter. Plug the Atari into the converter's (2nd VCR) coax and run audio/video lines from its output into the 1st VCR's (the one mounted on the wall) input. At least that works when using a DVD recorder as a converter.

Someone posted this link in the thread that Wickeycolumbus posted.

I tried this on an Atari 2600 jr with the Harmony cart. I like that. It rolled on me occasionally.

Is there a command-line tool for transfering ROMs to the Harmony?
dwane413 replied to Tjoppen's topic in Harmony Cartridge
I didn't test it, but I think the above two lines could be replaced with the following: c:\Program Files (x86)\HarmonyCart>HarmonyCart.exe -help > con -
Some people use Nintendo NES controllers that have been converted. I haven't tried these myself.

Tried that, the wedding post didn't appear near the top of my posts, or I overlooked it. At any rate, I apologize if I offended. When I posted originally the site looked different. I honestly couldn't remember if I had posted or not (as I've posted to a few sites around the Atariverse) because the forum had a different skin at the time. I think. No problem. Sorry if I offended you. I hope your Atari set up will be a success.

There is a "My Content" link near the top of each page that might help you if you lose one of your threads again.

This was already recommended to Android8675 who never replied to the suggestion in the other thread.

Thanks.
