Really? Cool! I might just pick up Perfect Dark then. I mean, I can get my Gamesharks back and running again, plus what can go wrong? Even if I don;t get it working, I'll still have a cheap great game! Is there a list of keycodes and game to boot the gameshark? I know Donkey kong 64 and 1080 I have.

I have these games: Donkey Kong 64, Super Mario 64, Goldeneye 007(awesome), 1080 Snowboarding, Mario Kart 64, Monster Truck Madness 64. That's what I have. I believe the keycodes were changed for Zelda games. The one that never worked I think is going to be booted by Zelda.

Wow thanks but I have no idea about that BIOS thing. ALso my other Gameshark has the wrong keycode for all my games and has been that way since I bought it. So that Gameshark to Gameshark thing won't work for me. As for my setup for PC? Well I plug my gamesharks on top one another and insert into it with them plugged into my powered on N64. (No A/V cable or controller plugged in to it) . The only way I do that is with a short female/male serial port adapter. I'm about to say screw this and head to the barn where my dad has his old 680 computer(I think that's what he calls it). I'm sure that has serial ports. It was DOS. I could borrow a cable. Gosh I hope that works. Wow. I really appreciate you guys sticking with me and helping me out. That is useful info. I hope that program for ports won't screw things up. I'll probably just buy a new Gameshark, but it is unknown at this point.

I can't get the serial port to be connected. The gameshark lights the display up but it isn't detected. What is wrong? I mean the digital display on the Gameshark lights an 8. So it IS connected... but the program detects nothing. I had it like you said..

Yeah, I can't FIND a parallel cable, so I'll just buy another Game shark, and fix the other two when I can. I'm so anxious to hack goldeneye. And you have to have it hooked to the PC to run NEON 64? Why? Can't you just store the roms on the GS? And I can run N64 roms on it too? Does that require a cable?

Yeah I get what you mean, but, I have to get it working again. If I could only access the memory with the PC! Serial drivers! Do I need special drivers for the gameshark? Or ANY serial driver? As in ones that work printer etcetera, are they compatible?

No. In fact, when the thing got corrupted, it would not scroll down on my game list past the Zelda 1.1 codelist. I hoped changing the keycodes for 1080 Snowboarding, a game I really have would help. But I forgot to CHECK CODES ON FOR THAT GAME. So I turn off my N64, and NONE of my games will boot the gameshark. How can I reset the keycodes? Have I screwed up my game shark forever? Can I fix it without the serial cable? And...WHERE are the drivers for the serial port? I don't know where to find them. Is there a game shark homepage? One that's still up from back in he day when the Gameshark Pro was popular in N64? Maybe they have the drivers.I need to know. I had great plans for hacking Goldeneye...

It's for Nintendo 64. And it corrupted itself when I started deleting codelists from other games that I didn't want on there. Now nothin happens on my N64 except an "8" on the digital display.

Gameshark really helps to get rid of the annoying Peach intro in a new game. By the way guys I use an 8 or above star file to race with. It helps when the doors are already open and all. Perhaps I'll make some progress today.
