  1. I kinda wish we could have matured the idea a little more, but thanks for being proactive. Hopefully folks will jump in.
  2. I had been programming for about 1.5 to 2 years back in 2020 so yes, I was relatively new. But I wouldn't be looking to compete now... it's time to welcome new blood. Like @Steve Soupy said, it's about a friendly competition where you can get some support and encouragement to get your game finished. Maybe we should do it 'low spec' with no bank switching like last time.
  3. Wow! Looking great! Imagine how much better it would look if you implemented all 4 types of trees he gave you! You do have GRAM to spare, most likely.
  4. Hard to believe, but it’s been 4 years since the last programming contest. Is this something that we should try to reanimate as a community tradition? There’s been some criticism of homebrews being too narrowly focused on ports these days. A contest provides a safe environment for new ideas and experimentation. Any appetite?
  5. This is not much different from before. You would need to use more tiles for the trees. Are you having difficulty with the randomization logic for the background?
  6. A push is being made to have all remaining digital packages sent this weekend. Thanks for the patience...
  7. Thanks for the info. So definitely many modern homebrews won’t run on the CC3.
  8. I think Karate Champ would be great with 2 controllers used at the same time. One stick for each disc. This is not meant as a plug for Caleb’s coupler, but I can see that accessory working well.
  9. Yeah I don’t know how the Cuttle Cart deals with things like bankswitching which are critical for this game. But good to know a straight conversion seems to work on the Backbit.
  10. Processing is happening in the order payments were received during the campaign. It will take several days to get through everything, but there is a cadence being maintained.
  11. Knowing Justin’s work, I can vouch that he understands the platform’s limitations really really well. While hard to believe at first glance, what he puts together is usually perfectly feasible on the Intellivision. It’s a matter of putting the effort to make it happen from a programming standpoint.
  12. So you are going to give it a shot once those assets are scaled? Great!
  13. Wow!!! Hopefully @atari2600land can use some of these assets!
  14. Awesome, now we just need someone to do James Pond.
  15. Good catch! Let me see if there’s a way to correct it without scrapping the entire poll and losing all results.
  16. I don’t have them, but that’s a great idea! Anyone feel free to post pictures.
  17. The Awards Committee is the one that runs the show! 🙂
  18. Please keep in mind this video was made before nominations were announced, so some games shown may not actually be included in the vote.
