  1. This is the order that I used: 1. Installed the Dexdrive software 2. Installed the driver provided in the link 3. Plugged the Dexdrive into the USB port. 4. Ran setup wizard If this doesn't work let me know and I will delete the driver and give you the exact steps I used when running setup wizard.
  2. I have seen discussion on this topic here on these forums. I recently bought a Dexdrive new in box. Once I received it I realized that I couldn't connect it to my computer because I don't have any serial ports. What I did is go onto EBay and I bought a USB TO DB9 RS-232 SERIAL PORT ADAPTER CABLE RS232 CORD for $5 dollars. Here is a picture of it below: Now once I got this I plugged it into the Dexdrive and plugged the USB connector into my PC. I was surprised to find out that the computer would not recognize it because it wasn't plugged into a COM port. Soo... after searching for hours and hours I came across a driver that instantly allowed me to access my Dexdrive via the USB adapter that I bought. Now I am not saying that this will work for any Serial to USB port but the one I bought is pretty generic so I think it would have a pretty high success rate. I am using the N64 version of the Dexdrive but I don't know why this wouldn't work for the PSX version as well. Let me just say that I tried several drivers until I found one that worked. Here is the link to the driver below (it's free). http://www.serialgear.com/wd_pl2303h-hx-x_v20019v2021.zip This says it works for Win98SE/ME & Win2K/XP/2003 (XP Logo Certified) There are a few different ones for different OS though. Here is the link to the page with the drivers itself: http://www.serialgear.com/USB-Serial-adapt...s-mac-linux.cfm (you have to scroll down a bit to see them) I should also add that this allows you to not have to use the power cord for the Dexdrive itself as the driver routes power to it via the USB cable. Anyway, if anyone has any more questions please let me know. I was ecstatic to have solved this problem in the first place.
