  1. Ebay.. i have all but given up on Ebay.. unless its using someone elses money when they dont have a computer.. other wise.. any thing I really want is snipped up from underneath me.. and quite frankly.. if I'm only willing to pay $10 for something..thats all IM GOING TO FREAKIN PAY!

I'll put my reserve id in.. and if someone wants to go bat shit at the last second at least just to see what I'm willing to pay for it.. more power to them..

    sniping bastards..

in any case.. most of my collection of various games and consoles have usually come from.. trading with folks here.. in fact. If I have anything to sell or buy. I'll ask the folks here first if they have it to sell or they want it.. the last thing I unloaded was a snooker game for an atari 8bit that I had no use for.. no way of testing.. all I know is that.. maybe it'll work.. so I put it up on the contest forum and said.. if you want it.. be the first to respond and you got it..and Atarileaf did

my PRIMARY meens of colelcting comes from good ols fashioned dumpster diving.. wild finds that cost me know money or virtually none.. I have freinds in the apartment turnover buisness that basicly.. loot the leftovers when people skip out on rent.. or just leave a bunch of crap behind when they move out.. folks just give me video game shit when they find it.. I get them a barley pop from the brewery

I also have the local garbage men on the payroll scouring the cans for stuff.. Garbage men come accross a lot of cool shit in thier travels down the allys..

and finnaly.. my town is not complety dried up.. My visits to the thrifts around here usually net something interesting that I can use.. be it atari or not.. but that last time I hit Fantastic thrift.. I walked out with over twenty games. not to mention I'm in with all the vintage store folk around town.. and several of them activly look for vintage game stuff and give me the first call before it hits thier floors.

    Networking.. it works..

  2. Black Mold.. man.. thats the bain of the beer biz.. of all the stains on my work shirts.. thats the biggest stain.. from me scrubbibng that mess off of STAINLESS STEELl imagine..even after a week. having to crawl intoa space..half your body size.. and SCRUBBING with a scrub bug.. to break this shit loose..

after a while you let it go to a point so that what you are messing with is cosmetic.. and and what you concentrate on is what effects day to day activities..

oye ye gods.. fucking black mold..

cassidy sir! we madeit thru! we live! isabel sucks!

I lost power for 36 hours.. but there are folks her that are with out.. ad will be with out for a week from now

  3. which mod are you talking about that worked in all of those situations?

The one that I created. It's not available to the public yet, but it will be RSN. AFAIK, It's the only 2600 mod that produces valid NTSC signals by design. The outputs are impedance matched too. It also has adjustments for contrast, brightness, and saturation. And stereo sound, of course.

    -Chris

Chris.. I'm getty antsy.. any tenative release dates? I've been holding off modding for your release!

  4. thats an excelant point rich.

auto fine tuning can fuck up so much shit..

however..generaly if you allready have cable TV hooked in to the TV.. if your getting a good signal then you should get a good signal on any thing you port into channel 3/4

this is all digital tuning were talkign about however

  5. I did some light weight hunting on moday to pass the time.. my in pocket funds were dorrily lavking so it was for the best that I came up0 for naught..

now..if I had a 5200 console.. I wouldve had a very good day... thank goodness that one place I frequent doesnt do any buisness on carts besides me

hmm..perchance some one wants to sell a spare 5200 or a philips cd-i...

  6. Allright.. who wants to Host the Gnomes after hours Barley Pop frolic?

four five gallon kegs of of tasty craft brew' date=' tasty eating fare and a nice relaxed atmosphere for kicking back with old and new freinds[/quote']

This sounds quite familiar to a line we head about PC4 there gnome

yep.. and this time I have advance warning, proper transport.. and actually intend to pull it off..

Hell i've allready requested that weekend off

  7. I've givin this a bit of thought myself..

for one thing.. I would do it as a 2600 in a coin op cabinet..

the screen can be just a television set of course..

I would then modify a couple of Sega Arcade controllers for the sticks.. and then gut some paddles for those games.. two sticks.. four dials on the controll pannel.. then you attach toggel switches so you can turn the sticks off .. and the paddles on.. and visa versa..

next thing you do is go on over to the Portable VCS site over at clasic gaming .com and learn how to relocate the cart port..

this I would relocate right in the middle of the controller panel

I would also relocate all the switches to the control panel as well

decorating the coin op cabinet.. nothing but wood grain and a BIG ASS fuji!

  8. http://www.atariage.com/2600/archives/schematics/Schematic_2600A_High.html

There is a schematic there and I found the Sound Adjustment' date=' but I don't have a proper allen key to adjust it yet.. Dunno if that will work[/quote']

baring the allen key.. you can probably just use a tiny little electonics terminating skrew driver to work that pot.

you might want to squirt soem contact cleaner in there as well.. in fact.. clean the entire board.. it can only help

  9. I don't know.. looks pretty good to me.. then again.. my Jpgs are skrewing up again... only .jpg images.. must be something skrewey with my video card...

but this could be like the Bigfoot of ataris.. you know.. a bunch of people say it exists.. and a bunch of people say it doesn't and when the people that say it does and shows you photographic proof.. the nay sayers all start shouting nay?

    yeah like that

so.. the question is.. we have people prooving that its made.. the box looks pretty real to me.. I know that you can distress the hell out of stuff with photo shop.. But I can usually see the seams of the edit.. and I'm not seeing them.

the magic marker of the 6 over the four looks like some kid was marking up the box out of disgust apon realizing that it wasn't anything diffrent than a 2600.. hell when I was eight years old.. I never gave a second thought to how much this stuff might be worth years from now.. so I was prone to graffiti.. it stands to reason..

I say its a real product.. the wheres and why.. I have no idea.. but I do think I recall some wacky numbers being thrown out at the junior back in the day.. and these are just fuzzy memmories.. I think there was even some packaging refering to the junior as the 2700

  10. Vally Girl and fast times at Rigemont high are good as well..

then theres also Summer school.. license to drive, driver school...

there are some really bad 80's flicks out there that just REAK 80's high coutre

    oh shit..

how come no one has mentioned St. Elmo's fire!?! thats nothing but 80's yuppie trash shit right there.. you'll find every single cliche' in that flick

bareing all that... American Phsyco #1.. that one kills any modern era eighties period piece hands down

  11. Answering Mr.FoodMonster's Question:

Ya, you know how a cuttle cart works? you plug it into an earphone jack and then into the cartridge. So you play this really grating sound into a cartridge and then you got to play the game. What atari did, was they basically pluged the earphone into a radio tuned into a certian station and recieved the grating sound and the cartridge turned it into a game. But, the way they did this was more complicated. Imagine, listening to KABOOM 107.1? Or having to listen to the radio for five minutes to get PITFALL? Cool in concept, crappy in theroy. I think the game they tested was PITFALL.

well.. you wouldnt actually have to listen to it persay.. you would have to have a pretty fancy radio to pick up that type of audio.. this is basicly short band radio and below the range of most radio's.

far as i can tell these carts are basicly just radio recievers that pick up only a secific band of radio waves.

see the concept in question here is not if it can be done or how... the question is.. how do we make money off of this?

even with a cheap wide spectrum reciever from radio shack you can pick up basic muzak service for free.. Muzac makes its money by leasing hardware and service.. ala direct TV.. of course.. muzak has gone the direction of direct link satilite and subscription based services becouse its easier to monitor and exlude service to subscribers

but how do you tell your atari cart that its only supposed to recieve this particular signal at this time and onl;y if you have paid to have it.. this is easily hacked

  12. I'd Like to see the Booster grip implemented in somethng other than omega race.. I understand that there are some flight sims for the 2600 that implement the difficulty switches as part of game play.. and I think adding booster grip control for like say.. fireing a missle while leaving the regular fire button for cannons.. that would be cool

and for those with out a booster grip.. I understand the coleco joystick can be subsituted? or am I thinking of another controller?

  13. thats what i thought,  i really dont wanna cunt my cables if i dont haveta, oh well,   thanks eric for replying,    anyone whos name is eric cant be all that bad  ;)

my mother says erics are the best  8)

why not just use a Sega controller.. they work with out modification and the feel is pretty simular

  14. Welcome Jose!

yes.. its safe to buy from the members here..

you might want to check out the Marketplace forums for that.

theres also a International forum you might be interested in

  15. Any requests?

(I should alert you that some games are much easier to fix than others.)

allright.. I'm a touch confused now.. what besides the size of the game makes them unplayable on a unmodified supercharger?

what do you do? clean up the code a touch so they're a little smaller and fit within the operating parameters of the unit?

  16. How old are these TV's? is it a digital, or analog type tuner?

meening.. is your channel diplayed with the touch of a button on the remote? or do you have to rotate the big ass dial on the front of the set?

if its an old analog set.. you might have to adjust the vertical hold dial
