I was at Gamestop last night and reserved the special HALO2 Platinumn edition, apperntly it has extra behind the scene footage and what not included, and a fancy ass tin case, it was only $5 more than the standard edition.. so why the hell not? I then went next door to the Staples and picked up a Next gear wifi router hub for the broad band conection.... next purchase is the Xbox wifi adapter and hook everything up on the network. My gamestop is hosting a HALO tournement this sunday... unfortunatly.. they'll be playing when I'm working in any case.. its a test tourny and if it proves succesful, they're gonna start having it on a regular basis, so I can modify my work schedule to accomodate . looks they're doing CTF and slaughter with no "camping" so I can't do the sit and wait sniper shots that I'm well versed at. in any case.. I just got the girl the sims "bustin out" so its looking like no home death match for me for at least 2 weeks. actually..its kinda nice that she's stuck on the game.. I can sit back here in the Den of eniquity in peace with out feeling guilty about surfing for hours on end @ tigger year.. it is pretty cool.. playing death match is a nice little way of airing out grievences before they go to fisticufs. we even do co-op play we're still stuck in the librabry however.. its not like were running headlong to complete the game.. but those flood bastards are quite trifling

Hey.. remember when video game tie ins with a hollywood release was a novelty? now its expected I'm just waiting for some one to come out with a live action GTA movie, Hell, I'm surprised it hasn't been done allready. in any case.. the video game industry has gone extremly main stream to the point where some video games production budgets are riveling Big budget movies, and being delivered with all the hype of a summer blockbuster release. if there is money to be made, they'll try to make it

SO, me and the little lady were playing some HALO Deathmatch in Blood gulch last night. after she managed to take me down I respawned at the base all the way accross the board I grabbed the sniper rifle and scanned over at the base where she was holding out. She was standing on top of the base and I was able to take her out with a head shot from all the way accross the play field! She's all hollering "WHAT THE HELL!? what happenned to me!?!" well dear.. I blew your head off she respawns in front of the same base she was and runs inside to collect some more weapons. in the meen time Im sprinting down field and run up the canyon wall to a little out crop about half way down and start to sight the base. as it just so happens I have a bead on one of the entrances to the base.. as she comes running out I let out a shot that just misses her thru the split screen she can see that I have her right in my sights. except that damn tree thats right in my line of fire, and she's hiding behind it. she slips out really fast and lets out a shot with her sniper rifle that goes god knows where and backs up, at the same time I let out a shot that goes over her head. I scan back at the tree.. and I see my shot. right at the crook in the tree limbs, theres the top of her helmet. just a little highlight might I add, but enough to light up my site, I pull the trigger and the top of her head goes flying off! Instant kill! needless to say we were both amazed at this shot. Now, I have always loved to use sniper rifles in FPS's, but I really haven't done any team play with these games. but I'm under the understanding that people hate snipers. yes, I will fully admidt that My uniform is all black, I hide in the shadows, and snipe people from long distances. Now.. I can see this as not being very fair in a slayer match, and I would be the asshole to kill. but say a troupe game of capture the flag I would suppose that it would be an ivaluable role as a long distance base defender. thats my take on it at least... I can't wait to hook up Xbox Live

I say since the price drop has happened again.. its a pretty good buy.. I love my Xbox, and have very little problems with it. we all must remember that the Xbox is a far superior system..... then again..... we said the same thing about the colecovision twenty years ago.......

Oh I've been enjoying the hell out of the game.. I got to the point I got stuck in a 18 hour game bender. Hopefully I'll be able to hit these hints come monday and do this for another 18 hours straight for some reason.. I think I'm going to kill this game before I kill Vice city my only complaint.. why the hell did they design the driving mechanics to make you feel like a dozen monkey's trying to skrew a football? I love the rhino but damn its a pain in the ass

Ngage had a good concept..too bad nobody seems to have saw fit to test market the form factor.. I saw info on the next gen Ngage..with the ability to change games with out tearing the damn thing half apart, and use the phone function with out looking like your talking into a chrome taco. problem is, this thing was pimped at the gamer community and.. lets face it..we tend to be a fickle lot.. and the fact that this thing launched SO poorly tells me its going to fail.. nobody is going to care about nex gen improvements...A national launch is no time to be doing Beta theres a lot of buzz about PSP.. but.. I wanna see it before I belive it.. sony took Nin's thunder before.. and theres a rabid following out there for the name.. however Nintendo DOES have a stranglehold on the handheld market, they've taken a lot of people head on and killed the vastly superior compition down.. now another personal opinion on the matter.. I see no use for two screens on a game boy..I think they would do better to concentrate thier efforts on improving on what they allready have.. I just think that two screens might get a bit confusing if your displaying too much information at one time.. you know..the old K.I.S.S. phylosophy? Very Maximum overdrive! though I love the atari.. I must say.. the lamps.. they are my favorite as for the Atari.. its pretty obvious its a vader unit.. as for the cart in the system.... Yars revenge? can someone get a screen grab?

thats an excelant point rich. auto fine tuning can fuck up so much shit.. however..generaly if you allready have cable TV hooked in to the TV.. if your getting a good signal then you should get a good signal on any thing you port into channel 3/4 this is all digital tuning were talkign about however

I've givin this a bit of thought myself.. for one thing.. I would do it as a 2600 in a coin op cabinet.. the screen can be just a television set of course.. I would then modify a couple of Sega Arcade controllers for the sticks.. and then gut some paddles for those games.. two sticks.. four dials on the controll pannel.. then you attach toggel switches so you can turn the sticks off .. and the paddles on.. and visa versa.. next thing you do is go on over to the Portable VCS site over at clasic gaming .com and learn how to relocate the cart port.. this I would relocate right in the middle of the controller panel I would also relocate all the switches to the control panel as well decorating the coin op cabinet.. nothing but wood grain and a BIG ASS fuji!
