  1. I personaly own Two Gennies.. and almost as many games for it as I have atari... damn things area everywhere.. time beofre last I was thrifting.. there were three genny consoles on the rack.. a whole mess of games.. but that wasn't the point of hunting.. so I passed it all up. to be quite frank.. I have all this gennie stuff becouse it fell in my lap.. I haven't paid a dime for any of it, and honestly.. I'm not that big of a fan of the console.. I have a 32x for it.. but no games.. and no way of hooking it up.. I'm missing all the fancy cables..
  2. allright.. so where the hell is the atari? if its close to the computer.. like say in my normal setup.. I run the atari into a TV card on the computer.. and display the results in the TV application.. now.. if you have a head phone jack on your computer speakers.. there you go!. other wise a lot of speakers have one speaker with an amp, and the other an input.. usually the one with out the amp is the one with the input.. so you unplug the wire that connects the two speakers together and plug the super charger into the speaker with the direct input from the computer. but.. if this is not possible.. a lot of portable CD players run under thirty dollers nowadays.. invest a little man ITS ATARI FOR CIMMINY SAKES! now finding a new cassette player for the original tape games? I've found that to be quite the challange as of late.. My home tape player is on the fritz.. and I've only managed to find one cheap ass walk man to adiqutly do the job at the GROCERY store of all places $10.99 and for some reason.. it seems like too much damn money to pay for a shitty cassete walkman
  3. Rock on art.. you beat me to the rant
  4. eeh.. I think were all pack rats to some degree or another around here vintage games is an extension of my fasination for antiquated computers and hardware. but the consoles and games is the number one collection for me at the moment.. this is one of the dangers of being intimatly attached to a vintage clothing and antiques store.. just so much coll shit comes thru
  5. see.. now yer giving me a bad Idea.. start collecting printed glasses from defunct breweries a lot of the problem with some of the little guys is they spend to much time and energery promoting the product then they do on the product itself hell.. Legend didnt start embossing glasses till last year.. pretty much after we got the big local market share and was able to crank out a scale of bottles that would meet expanded market demand including being sold at TWO large scale Grocery store chains.. hmm.. defeunct brewery glasses. like.. little second place trophies..
  6. is it This one? Adulphus Busch stien if it is.. the bidding has just started on this item.. and it might be interesting to see what it does
  7. Stiens are very collectable.. particualry if they are old and german. I need to see a picture of this.. is this a character stien? as in you say adolphus bucsh.. does this stien look like yer drinking a barely pop out of the mans hollowed out skull? ( great visual Eh!? ) considering it is of a maor manufacturer helps and hurts.. the big boys pump out ass loads of memorbilia but AB has done this for eons.. and a lot of memorbila that is the most saught after were distributer give aways to custimers.. as in bar owners and distribution houses.. so.. if this IS a pice of memerobila that was only made in limited numbers and ONLY made as give aways to distributors such as the company you work for.. you might well indeed have something of value on your hands. sounds like a creative search is called for on Ebay.. try Breweriana
  8. well.. over all it was a great day for "stuff" I went out to funcoland in search of more sega arcade controllers and came back with a twently doller N64 instead. I found a 1985 German sportsclub octoberfest Mug 1985.. there are now 6 in my collection.. these guys are only made for richmond.. and they only make 5000 a year.. and they've been doing it since the early seventies.. being the beer hound, and half german.. and a proud Richmond native.. these are gold mines.. I found this mug sitting beside the toilet in the back of the antique store my girlfreind works out buried under a mess of debree I can only imagine how many times Ive sat there on that toilet with that damn thing an inch from my foot. I also got fifteen more Homies for that collection and collectivly me and the girl acquired the most GOD AWFUL tacky lamp you can imagine I only wish I had a digital camera for this one
  9. its got a better picture tube than a regular TV.. but over all.. its just a composite monitor.. basicly.. A tlevision with out a tuner.. but for video payback monitoring.. they are incedable.. I used one for years hooked up to a VCR for my bedroom Television if you get a chance to pick one up.. I highly recomend it my old monitor still works..but after about ten minutes.. the picture fades out to black and is unusable, being the pack rat I am.. I have it religated to the museom of antiquated equipment/ Brewing paraphanlia room
  10. well.. inspired by previous post in this thread.. I went out to funcogamestopland to see if there were any more arcade controllers.. they had some wiered ass knock off looking third party things.. but not the official Sega arcade three button rapid fires. these things from the get go just didnt feel right in my hands.. even though I could've grabbed them for a couple of bucks a piece.. I had to let them go but hell.. when I was there.. check this shit out.. N64's.. 19.99 comes with a choice of either a free expansion pack or free extra controler. I couldn't pass it up, and its green.. a very flattering color for a redhead like myself. so me and the harpy picked up a Copy of Zelda, the orcana of time, and a game shark.. so now we need to figure out how this shark works.. ( cant get it to boot the cart when its in use ) and the harpy needs to figure out how to use an anolog joystick.. another thing that also infurates me.. I hate that chase camera perspective forced to use analog thing.
  11. oh I'm having such a blast playing Gyrus I can't belive the music score in the game the graphics are to be expected but arcade to atari.. its a really nice port if its any consilation Mega.. the label is peeling and really.. I can see Kiss having thier own game ( do they) but... JOURNEY!?! hell .. they played a free show here in town last week.. maybe we can re -write the code so you score by running INTO the groupies, roadies and paparazi?
  12. Man.. I wish every hunt could be like this! I havent researched any of the carts that I got.. but I managed to come home with two grab bags of A26 games and a couple of just floating around games so all in all this hord was 24 carts in tottal! of course the loose ones were all horribly over priced but check it out: Bowling x2 gunslinger/outlaw.. one of each Pacman ( of course ) Defender Freeway Missle comand Journey Escape kangaroo Frogger Moon patrol Mario Bros. Smurf, escape from gargamels castle Atlantis Alien Home run Super breakout Basic programing ( now I'll have to find some of them touchpads) Oh! Gyrus! that blew me away when I plugged it in the soundtrack is great! Brain Games and a Burger time.. do these all come in that converted Intelivision cart? I also picked up a copy of Batman Forever for the Harpies Super Nintendo everything came in under $40 a think it was a good find.. it defintly bossted my collection now to check the guide to see if anythings a crazy rarity
  13. Last time I was at Funcolandstop they had two more arcade controllers both for $5, I shouldve snagged them. I just really like the feel of them. and come to think of it.. I had a booster grip before I had a Console to use it with.. first game I got when I went out collecting again was Omega race.. shame there aren't any other games that use it
  14. heres my two cents.. what about a two player mode that allows each gn to be controlled by a diffrent user?
  15. the Heavy Sixer is also very good for playing flight sim games that make use of the difficulty switches for additional control now if only someone modify the code of like say.. what was it? F-14 tomcat? to make use of the booster grip.. that would be fun
  16. I've actually seen some of the original series cards ina collectors store.. un opened.. in the original display boxes.. as for new ones.. I am Unaware.. though that card up there is obviusly recent. My current obbsesion in non atar stuff is The Homies.. I intend to blow another five bucks today on them
  17. Warlords! setting 4/1, one player vs. three computers. the Blue guy is the bane of my existance.. a very worthy opponant.. but green dude goes down immeditly, Purple guy is only difficult becouse of the angle of attack, but green and purple both have a very bad habit of killing themselves. I need to get a warlord party going.
  18. My fancy ass brand new 27" Apex flat screen! and thanks to all the fancy hook ups on this damn TV I can have every console on the same tv with out having to go crazy on moving wireing around
  19. damn galaga.. you beat me to it! its a great site.. and it also teches you very efficiant ways to do Composite video and stereo hacks of the console. I don't know if he makes any for sale anymore.. but he tells you how to do it yourself if yer son inclined this is also the same guy who did the PSPortable..
  20. Warlords all the way.. fun.. easy.. kick ass party game were working onthe warlords tourniment for the employees after work at the pub.. but I have had quite a few folks over and we've been kicking the warlords and having a blast
  21. I almost exclusivly use the sega arcade controller for the atari.. I just like the feal of it.. however.. when I rock the genesis.. I always plug the pads back in. not to mention themega fire buton on the arcade stick kicks ass for astaroids, and space invaders.. just feels right. as well as pacman junior allright.. official hijack.. lets give up the love for the sega Arcade controller! and tantone.. if you dont have this controller.. get it.. it will change your world
  22. Man.. I wanna tapper cart! it wont run on my unmodified super charger.. The Arcade version pretty fun too.. I wanna modify the graphics on the original to substitute the Bud Logo for a Legend Logo and replace the characters in the game to little represntations of the more.. colorful regulars...
  23. just make sure that you have proper CO2 preasure.. 12p.s.i. is usually fine for a nice foam free pour. You could also consider creating a 40/60 blend of NO and CO2.. other times, for particularly long runs, you might want to use a pump... wait.. opps.. never mind.. I think its just you being nuts.. oh..and welcome back stan
  24. My favorite PC pad. Are they the original, black, 10-button, game-port pads? If so flip off the cover on the back (right under where the cord attaches) and you should find a pass through to connect 'em together. ahhhh..thats what thats for! now do I need to do anything skrewy in set up for that to work as two indpendant game pads? like say.. for multiple players on MAME?
  25. yep.. in fact.. theres a schematic for an adaptor bundled with the PCAE emulator there are also plans that basicly use a hacked gamepad that you plug inline with the atari joystick there was a gentleman creating adaptors for sale.. but his company and situation fell thru.. if yer handy with a soldering iron.. go to town
