heavy6er. bought 2 sets of paddle controllers. checked the solder points..ok. so why does only only paddle work? i even cleaned the one that doesn't work. help?

in that case it's probably some failure in the console. Bent pin on the controller port, for example.
Try a 4 player game and see if both work in the 2nd port.
