  1. Would it be possible for us all to come together and create a self diagnosis check list of typical Atari 2600 faults and remedies and get it pinned? I'm just asking because there seems to be lots of common faults and we always say the same things.

    What do you think?

    Sounds like a great idea!!!

  2. i just received it. I plugged it in my 2 port 5200. with of course the 5200 controller, and the 2600 controller. cx7800 joy pad, and a wico joystick. and when i push up on any of them the graphics on the screen get all buggered up.

I know its not my machine or my controllers cause i have the atariage Redemption adapter, and it works great! any thoughts. the cable ends look in good shape, the steel prongs are straight, and no visible cuts. Could there be a bad kink or wires are broke and are touching????

If it doesn't work with Wico stick and causes screen glitches-- it's the cable. Pot GND which is around +5V touching other wires can cause unpredictable effects.

are you sure the "wico" stick is the actual a5200 stick? wico was dumb using the same gender on the 9 pin for their adapter and it causes endless confusion if they would have changed genders there wouldnt be the issue there is today(but then i guess they would have to worry about people plugging in an apple joystick

if your wico isnt this one it wont worka5200.jpg

well I'll be damned!! it works good thing I held on to that controller. now all I need is the keypad that goes with it! thanks guys!!!!

  4. Anybody have a stack of these and care to sell a single to me? I bought a NES at a yard sale and it was DOA but after doing the pin pulling I got it working. It's good now but I bent one of the pins too far and although I managed to get it put back in, it causes my Double Dribble game to give me problems. So my 'fix' is only temporary.

I live in Canada so anybody with a connector let me know what the cost with shipping will be and I can pay with Paypal. Thanks!

hey King, save yourself the hassle and go to pnp games they have those!!!!

  5. Several people are on the right path... it isn't as elaborate as a few of those suggestions though it would be cool if it were. This is a 25th Anniversary commemoration I'll say that... there will be few available, and they will be very special.

    I'll be very interested!!!

  6. Here's an update on the game. I am converted it over to the same codebase that I used for Angry Video Game Nerd K.O. Boxing.

Some of the changes will be dodging and a nice credits screen at the very beginning. It will have the same fade effect as the AVGN game. I've attached some screenshots. I don't have a playable binary yet.
