  1. OK I've been playing with mine for a few days now, and here is my laundry list of likes/dislikes LIKES - It's compatability is very good. So far it works with all of the games I have used in it. And from what I hear from others it's probably some of the best compatability out there - Wireless joysticks are fantastic! - Speaker is loud! I was very surprised at how loud the speaker actually is. - TV Out capabilities - IT'S A PORTABLE SNES!!! DISLIKES - build in D-Pad feels very mushy. Was hard to control Starfox. Good thing it came with wireless or this would be a dealbreaker for me! - Mono sound. Boooo... some games have fantastic Stereo effects, all lost - Odd headphone port. Standardize it for god sake!!! - Screen is a bit blurry, but then again so were TVs in the 16 bit era Overall though I definitely think it's a great little system, and well worth the money. If you're an SNES fan it's just too cool to have...
  2. Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far, I really appreciate everyone's feedback! So far I have a very large deal in place with someone who has a ton of games, now all I need to do is come up with the money somehow And just last night I found a place about 30 minutes away called Max Media Xchange that has insane amounts of Retro Stuff. I picked up a couple throwaway games, and finally located a couple of GB games for my Gameboy Evolution Table. Stoneage - I agree, the FC16 Go has worked with everything I've thrown at it so far (all 5 games lol) but I REALLY like it a lot! Worth every penny IMO
  3. I just may have to do that!!! I actually used to do game hardway reviews for a fairly popular site, so maybe I can whip one up for this as well... If anyone has any carts they want to contribute to the cause (you know, for compatibility testing) just send em my way
  4. Thanks Sean! Even if they aren't compatible, I can always snag an SNES dirt cheap to play them But I have heard that all the popular games play fine (which is what I am interested in anyway) I have Super Punch Out, Super Play Action Football, and Super High Impact Football. Punchout is cool but the other 2 aren't my forte. No Play-N-Trade nearby, but I did hit up Goodwill earlier this week and got a sweet deal on Intellivision stuff. No SNES stuff that I recall but I cal always check back. Thanks!
  5. nonner - You got it... I think it would be the games he would be most upset with anyway Rick - been doing the family thing mostly... lost grandmom in April (she lived with us for 16 years while we cared for her) so most of our time has been spent adjusting. Finally back into the swing of things for the most part though. Golden Ax - Well I AM looking for a bunch of SNES and select GB/GBC games... talk to me big man! Ransom - It's in pristine condition! I was quite surprised that all the games were all nearly perfect. Actually to everyone, I'm not necessarily married to these games so if anyone is interested in any, read my comment above to Golden Ax and PM me
  6. OK so I took the plunge and picked up one of the FC16 Go's (awesome system BTW) and realized that I literally only have 3 games! I'm looking for a bunch of the more common and popular SNES cartridges. If anyone has them in bulk and are looking to get rid of them I will take them off your hands either to buy or trade (although my trade stock is pretty low right now) for a reasonable price. Not really into sports games, just the common popular stuff (Mario, Kirby, Castlevania, etc) As long as you can read the label I'm interested! Thanks! Chrissy
  7. Bought hubby both the fleece pants and underwear for Christmas. He loves them! And of course I've stolen the fleece pants several times already. They are DEFINITELY comfy, and warm too! I'd wear em everywhere if I could.
  8. Awesome, looks like I did OK then!!! This old girl would jump up and down with joy if I weren't afraid of breaking a hip or something... I normally wouldn't have bought it... but I am a sucker for old school games in mint condition. When I saw those boxes I couldn't stand the thought of someone taking them home and ruining them... they are now in a good home. Of course if anyone else is interested in some near mint and a sealed Intellivision games I'm always on the lookout for a few GB / GBC/ Virtual Boy, and Vectrex items. nonne - You got it sweety... you're becoming my go-to guy for a lot of things.
  9. So today was my first trip ever to the Goodwill store. We were going to dinner at a Sushi restaurant and noticed a Goodwill store in the same location. After hearing all of the stories on here I figured I would try my luck and see what I could find. Behind the counter was an Intellivision II with 17 games for $20. What struck me about this was that although the system was open (and in good shape, if a bit dusty), every single game is near mint and CIB! Whomever owned this looks like they bought the games yesterday. There was even an extra Lock n Chase never opened and still in it's shrinkwrap! How could I say no? Don't know a lot about Intellivision, but curious how good of a deal I got?

  11. Thanks for all the comments everyone! Crazy - Feel free to snag the idea!!! It's generated a few Ooos and Ahhhs already with friends coming over! Rev - In a see-through Ottoman of course! Revolutionika - I was considering doing the DS line as well, but Nintendo considers the DS a separate product line from the Gameboys so I kept it strictly to the Gameboy lineup!
  12. Count me in for a Vectrex as well!!! Did this just turn into vectrexage.com?
  13. If you have an extra Mario DX I'd love you forever!!!! Yep I am looking for fairly clean labels. If there is magic marker or writing on the cartridge itself that is ok, it is fairly easy to get rid of that. Here is a link to the thread with a pic of it so far: My Gameboy Evolution table
  14. Here is a pic of the current state of the table. Finally got the glass top! The flash doesn't show it, but the table is a very deep black. I still have a way to go, but overall I like how well everything looks under the glass. Here is a list of what I plan on changing: - Adding small gold plaques under each system with the name and year the system was released. - Changing around some of the games and grouping them by series (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Castlevania, Megaman, Kirby, G&W Collections, and Shantae in the middle) - Tightening location of some of the systems. The SP and SP Mark II are close together and low because there is a mirror and candle on top of the glass in the center for now, but I will spread them out again once I get the plaques. - I also wanted to put some accessories in (Camera, Printer, etc) but there wasn't enough depth under the glass to do it. Some of those accessories are pretty thick! Took me awhile to get all the mint systems together. Every system in it was purchased mint in box unopened, and that wasn't cheap for the older systems But if they were going to be displayed I wanted them to be pristine! Anyone have any suggestions or comments? Would love to really make this a special table!
  15. Hello beautiful, and thank you very much for the post. I missed you guys!

Time to start rabble rousing again! :P

  16. Hi everyone, I'm back!!! As some of you who remember me know, I am putting together a Gameboy Display Table, and I am almost done!!!! I only need a few more games and I will be done. If anyone has them for sale or trade I would greatly appreciate them!!! Gameboy: Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge Castlevania Legends Megaman 3 Megaman 4 Megaman 5 Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 Gameboy Color: Super Mario DX Wario Land 3 Gameboy Advance: Super Mario Advance 1: Super Mario Bros. 2 Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 Wario Land 4 Thanks! Chrissy
  17. worked out a deal for some gameboy games and he sent them out to me, along with a few extras he thought I may like. Good to deal with, I'd trade with him anyday
  18. Jesus, Then we would never see any posts by SHawn Sr. I LOL'ed IRL on this one...
  19. I call dibs on one as well! Ax is the man, so I can't wait to see what he comes up with!
  20. Thank ya, Thank Ya Welcome to the wonderful world of Vectrex!!! It's my personal favorite system to collect for, and it looks so cool sitting on the shelf. People always ask about it and love it. A system that was truly ahead of it's time.
  21. PM sent! If anyone else has anything they want to get off their hands PM me with any reasonable prices!
  22. Looking to pick up some of the more popular and common games for the Gameboy / Gameboy Color Mario Lands, Castlevanias, Metroid, Zelda, Kirby, Tetris DX, Mario DX, Picross, etc... Just trying to get together a nice little 'Best Of' Collection and not looking for anything really rare. CIB or Loose, doesn't really matter. If anyone has spares that they are willing to part with I'll take em!
  23. Did a trade with him and it went smooth as silk. Even got the item next business day from across country! Would definitely do more business with him
