  1. So out of curiosity, when these were available from Capcom what was the price they were selling them at?
  2. Yeah I'm sure we have all gone through that... I've sold plenty of games and systems to make ends meet that are worth a fortune now. Luckily I am in a position in life now where I can rebuild my past glory
  3. Hey 5th ghost your inbox is full! (I wonder why) I was looking for the following if you have it: - a CIB Adventure ? Looking for one in really good condition, I want it to create a Shadow Box for the game that got me started - complete Activision retail collection - complete Imagic collection - Atlantis 2 isn't needed, just the retail released games - 5200 controller (can never have enough working ones Probably a scary question, but how much for the 7800 lot and 5200 lot as well? Probably can't do them, but if the price is really right I just may have to mortgage the house
  4. Whoohoo! Thanks for the input! Meeting them locally in a few hours to check it out. Wish me luck!

  6. Many years ago, Star Castle was a fairly expensive (~ $65) title, although the price has fallen off a lot (like many, but not all, Vectrex games). It will probably take a bit of time to find loose overlays for the games you want, although they do show up, you'll just need patience. Otherwise, you could go for duplicates that are more complete (depending on what you want), and then sell your loose titles off. (I went and looked on eBay today and saw more Vectrex listings than I have seen in a long time.) At some point, reproduction overlays were being produced, but I don't know what became of that project. Yeah, I am actually willing to get the games along with the overlays if needed. So if anyone has the titles listed above w/ carts I'll take em
  7. Thanks jboypacman! And if anyone is looking for games, I have updated my original post to show what I have available. And I saw the overlays at atari2600.com, I wonder why the Star Castle one is so expensive... it wasn't all that rare imo.
  8. UPDATED: Finally got a complete collection of US overlays!!! Now I am looking to fully complete the collection with the European variants: Looking for the following Vectrex overlays: * Flipper Pinball * Soccer Football * Web Warp Don't have to be in perfect condition, as long as they are in one piece. I am willing to buy the full games of any of the above as well, provided the Overlay is included. I also have the following available for trade: Carts Only: Armor Attack Berzerk Blitz! Clean Sweep x2 Cosmic Chasm Fortress of Narzod (w/ Box) Hyperchase Polar Rescue Pole Position Rip Off Scramble Solar Quest Space Wars Spike (w/ Box & instructions) Starhawk (w/ Box & instructions) Star Ship Star Trek CIB: Fortress of Narzod Reproduction Overlays: Set of 27, all originals minus Heads Up plus several Homebrew NOTE: The Repro overlays are printed, but still need to be white painted and laminated.
  9. http://baltimore.craigslist.org/clt/1033480526.html Saw this a few days ago.. large collection on Craigslist. I'm sure the price is very negotiable if it's still available. Not every one, but maybe this would help?
  10. A Lot of the Sega 3D games from the 90s never got home releases... Harley Davidson Star Wars Trilogy Lost World Rail Chase 2 etc... Why Sega never brought any of these out for the Dreamcast I'll never know, but I remember buying a DC thinking they would SURELY port these over.. but alas... could be part of the reason it failed.
  11. I ended up picking one up directly from Nintendo. Took a month for them to send it but it made a huge difference in quality. I'm sure I have it in box here somewhere, I'll see if I can dig it up.
  12. Was at a Flea Market awhile back and saw a lady selling a Sega Master System with various parts and games all tossed in the bag. Most of it looked beat up but there was a CIB near mint copy of Phantasy Star in there. When she got it her kid didn't like it so it was never played. She sold it to me by itself for $3

Two games that I don't have that I'm particularly interested in are "Jack Bros" and "Vertical force" I don't care if it's Japanese vs. USA versions, etc. I just want the games to play. Thanks... I've got a loose US Jack Bros. PM me if you are interested.

  15. Just a shot in the dark here: Got a modded Wii (with Homebrew Channel Pre-Installed) laying around that is not being used I'm looking for a bundle of a 2600, 5200, and 7800 all with A/V mods pre-installed. Of course any additional games (particularly for the 5200/7800) would be great as well.
  16. Hey there everyone! Was wondering if anyone had a 5200 w the A/V mod already installed they are looking to part with? Thanks!
  17. Darn, Late to the party again... (just got a 7800 this weekend) If there is another batch coming up and/or any drop offs count me in!
  18. So pretty! Just tell me when and where to send my 2600 and it's on like Donkey Kong....
  19. Did a trade for a large volume of items, everything came as expected and were even a few extras thrown in. Great communication and a wonderful person to deal with. He is all that and a bag of potato chips... BBQ style of course.
  20. Did a trade with Richard and everything went perfectly. Have actually done other business with him in the past as well and he has never been anything short of courteous and professional! I would have his little vector babies!
  21. I hope you play game 3 as well to experience the definition of randomness. oh absolutely! I occasionally play some 3 when I am in the mood to sit for a bit, but when I do it's usually after a 1 & 2 run if I have the time and/or inclination... but the others always come first
  22. Adventure I think at least a couple times a month I fire it up and do runs of games 1 & 2 just cause I love it so much. Great way to spend 5 minutes.
  23. Y's Book I & II for the Turbo-CD I played through the game 20 times just to listen to the music... and of course I copied the CD over to a cassette to listen to in the car back in the day as well. One of my favorite game/soundtracks ever.

Played it for a bit and enjoyed it, and then decided to dig in the attic and found my old stash of 2600 games from when I was a child. As I playing for a little while, my 7 year old came into the room and saw me playing these archaic games. He LOVES watching people play video games, but because of all the buttons and complexity of the systems nowadays, he doesn't like to play too much. right in the middle of a game he asked to try Combat, so we plugged it in... and then the magic happened. For the first time ever we were playing each other and just having the time of our lives... He could pick up a game and immediately be able to play me without having to watch for 20 minutes or memorize any button combinations. What made the moment particularly amazing was that we were using MY EXACT SAME CARTS that gave me so much fun at that age. He didn't care about the graphics, or the sound, we were just 2 little kids having fun playing video games in the living room. Thinking back on the moment, I actually tear up a bit with joy. It was a very amazing moment of my life... one of those things that will stay with me till the end of my life. Having him playing my old games and getting the same joy out of them it felt very much like a "passing of the torch" moment in my life... So, after all of that being said, I compiled a list of games above that I either owned or loved at that age that I wanted to get for him to play. I am sure most of them are commons since I didn't have any particularly rare games. This collection is meant to be PLAYED BY A 7 YEAR OLD. I don't need boxed and pristine copies. As long as they play and the labels are in decent shape I am definitely interested. and of course I am open to suggestion for other fun games as well. I do not have a lot of money right now, as there have been a lot of sudden expenses in my life. But any fair offers are welcome. If anyone is feeling particularly generous (or looking to clean up their collections) and offering freebies I will gladly pay for shipping. This is is going towards creating a new gamer who is 7 who will appreciate and enjoy the games that we have all grown up with and loved. Thanks to anyone who can help out with this project. Chrissy
