  1. Rarer (maybe not most rare) that I own: Orc Attack Carnival Massacre Pastfinder Ant Eater Sea Chase H.E.R.O. Frogger II Seafox
  2. Testing compatibility in the emulators is bogus, some of them will work under OS-B 48K emulation, but in reality do not work on real hardware... one to point out which is listed above as 48K is Lode Runner, which does not work on a 48K 800 (same black screen as Mario Bros, which also does not work). I think someone needs to modify this list based on real world testing and not emulation.
  3. Rybags, didn't want anyone to lose sleep over it haha... but great info thanks.
  4. Hey, I was wondering with the ATR files of Glenn's old 5200 to A8 conversions that are around, has anyone ever made (or seen) a ROM or BIN file that can be directly written to EPROM for a real cart? Would love to have at least Space Invaders, Qix and Centipede. Thanks!
  5. Works on a 130XE, also tried one from my VIC-20 that didn't have audio either.
  6. Hi, just acquired an 800 but when using one (of many) known working A/V cables connected to the monitor out port on the side, I get no audio out put, video is fine. When I connect the 800 via the built-in RF cable, the audio is fine. What is the most likely culprit? Should I replace the power board that has the monitor out jack on it? Thanks, Rich
  7. Hey, these two games I would love to see converted to 5200 from A8: Cloudburst Cosmic Tunnels They seem to run fine in 16k RAM... any thoughts/takers? Thanks, Rich Original ROMs: Cloudburst.rom Cosmic Tunnels.rom
  8. So I gather with the analog stick it must suck pretty badly
  9. Hey, just wondering how the analog controls on real hardware are with the Clowns and Balloons conversion, any good? Trackball work?
  10. Oh I'll still snag one if there are any left!
  11. I like the alt version alot, but the bright yellow background is brutal.
  12. I bought my 4-port A/V and PS modded one from him earlier, yeah a bit pricey but worth every penny... it was all in mint condition and works like a charm! Rebuilt gold controllers as well, does a nice job overall.
  13. What do you mean no traction? 5200 Competition Pros sell like hotcakes on EBay all the time for around $50-$60... shouldn't be a problem to sell if it is in good working condition.
  14. I was using Atari800Win, but now switched to Altirra. I guess it depends what you want out of it... Atari800Win seems to "play" better for the casual gamer, but Altirra is a programmer/homebrewers delight, with the excellent debugger and suite of utils.
  15. What about this set of tools? http://ataritools.fr.gd/
  16. Quick question, is there an easy way (changing a value somewhere in the code) to tell the 5200 to skip the initial Atari rainbow logo screen? Thanks
  17. Is it possible to modify the title screen similar to the first "Preppie!", where OPTION and SELECT were replaced with the corresponding * and # chars? (see attached)...
  18. I've bought from him before, great guy though, goes above and beyond. But yeah, shouldn't sell toxic mold!... sell it loose like Bohoki said.
  19. There was an older post about this: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/69778-activision-games/ I have a 4-port and all of the Activision titles EXCEPT the one you mention (Decathlon) and Space Shuttle. All work fine, but I do see how they fit looser (not as snug) as the standard Atari ones.
  20. Man, I'd kill for Salmon Run... and Alley Cat (I know this is a big game though and would require significant rework), but both are Bill Williams best in my opinion (along with Necromancer of course!)
