Are TI Atarisoft games really "all that" (and a bag of chips)?
Mister-VCS replied to PeBo's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
I think that Atari's intention was that the games released under the Atarisot-lable should be good, but not better that the games for her own home-computer-line. -
Only in the UK - maybe a part of the special british sense of humor?

2600 SEASON 4 PREVIEW ~DATE ANNOUNCED JAN 19TH~
Mister-VCS replied to JacobZu7zu7's topic in 2600 High Score Club
my suggestions: Obelix, Mr. Do!, Tutankham, Sky Skipper, Star Wars; The Arcade Game, Road Runner, Zaxxon, Miner 2049er. -
UK-mag "retro Gamer" (issue 137, page 75) reads: "..it does show a lot of promise with the large sprites and well-drawn backdrop. A real shame it wasn't finished." atariprotos.com reads: "...the 7800 was capable of much better than this. Not only are the characters puny and bland, but they all look alike! Atari wisely decided to stop development of this title." each its own?

Right- I "grew up" with the 2600 version (since 1984!) and the 7800 control is similar to the 2600 version.
-
The Joust-sound (7800) is ok - but 5200/XL-Joust-gameplay does not "feel" right IMO.
-
The A8 Joust is the easiest version- I grew up with the 2600 version and I think that the control of the 7800 ostrich is similar to the 2600 ostrich control.

ATARI 2600 VCS INCREDIBLE HULK PARKER BROTHERS SEALED
Mister-VCS replied to airgames's topic in Atari 2600
I have never seen a box with a message like is. A information about a later release-date makes no sense if the game was still released and you have the real box in your hands... -
ATARI 2600 VCS INCREDIBLE HULK PARKER BROTHERS SEALED
Mister-VCS replied to airgames's topic in Atari 2600
From the back of the box: "available in stores from Autumn 1983" - not the best fake-box if you ask me...
