  1. Not rare. Value? $7.37 No AC adapter! Value= $0 The AC adapter is the most valuable part!
  2. Vanguard is complete or nearly complete according to the interview recently posted here. I wonder if Robotron could be ported from the TI-99 version somehow (different CPU, I know).
  3. Considering you can buy arcade PS's that put out the proper voltages for $10-$15 all day long online, umm no.
  4. I didn't get around to DL'ing and reading all the pdf's yet, but just wanted to make sure that we finally have a clean ROM dump of CBS Victory (bug fixed). I've never played the game the way it was meant to be played, with no bugs. All the Victory ROMS I see online are the regular Coleco versions.
  5. Of course, in case of an emergency where you're severly injured and unable to crawl to another room that has a game console. Good idea!
  6. I would avoid taking the controllers apart as much as possible, other than just taking off the backside. Spraying some electronic contact cleaner in there is all it should require.
  7. When I hooked up my O2 system and played it for the first time in +/- 25 years, I was shocked at how crystal clear the RF to TV video output was, after having played CV, 2600, 7800, SMS, NES etc.. The O2 RF output looked sharper and had better color saturation than many systems composite video output. There's no video mod needed for O2.
  8. I remember some I opened had that metal RF shield soldered to the PCB, some it was just screwed on and other might not have had one at all. There were def different versions because I remember doing A/V mods on a several CV's. I used the same method to do them all but on some it worked fine, on others it didn't.
  9. This is great. I always thought that Joust could use a title screen as well. A color-cycling border like the arcade would be great.
  10. I wasn't thinking of adding that flaky, proprietary, CV connector. I would just hardwire the arcade PS to the CV internal wiring. Heck, there's enough empty space inside the CV case that you could probably remove the arcade PS from it's casing and stick it inside the CV case. Underneath the controller wells it's all empty IIRC and could accomodate a board.
  11. Why bother repairing a 30+ year old CV PS when you can buy brand new arcade power supplies for around $15 or less all day long? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Arcade-Power-supply-5v-12v-/261290420972?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd61f6aec
  12. Don't feel so bad. Like I said, I gutted them of the motherboards, which I was able to find a buyer for, who was happy to get them. Just the plastic cases, tape drives and printers ended up in the dumpster and they would have been too heavy to ship anyways.
  13. I was thinking new ADAM hardware. I don't know why ADAMs are so hard to get and desirable now. Back in 2008-2009 I couldn't give them away for even $5, even here at AA. I ended up gutting and throwing 6 or 7 in the dumpster.
  14. Is that the same thing as the Opcode memory expansion mode? I tried it in regular CV mode and the CV w/Opcode memory expansion.
  15. I can't get the PMC rom I downloaded here to work in BlueMSX either, and I can get every other CV game to work with no problems. Is the PMC rom link file corrupted?
  16. Not worth the effort. The ADAM just doesn't have a software library large enough to warrant the effort. Just wait till one shows up on Craig's List or Goodwill/SA and grab it.
  17. I'm def interested too! I wondered why no one had done something like this earlier, considering the CV is pretty basic and uses off the shelf parts, no custom stuff like Nintendo.
  18. Compare these unauthorized MSX ports of NES Super Mario and Super Mario 3. The MSX and CV use the same graphics chip.
  19. I'm very interested. I had the Rodnay Zaks Z80 book but couldn't make much sense out of it. Hopefully this will be much easier to grasp.
  20. Has anyone gotten one of these controllers to be recognized by the Project 64 emu? My PC recognizes it and all it's buttons show up as working. I've tried all the built in driver settings in P64. None work.
  21. Hard to find book by Atari 2600 'Yars' Revenge' programmer, Howard Scott Warshaw. Great book for someone about to graduate and enter college or someone re-entering college. Full of valuable tips on making college an enjoyable learning experience and much less of an ordeal. $9.99 shipped in CONUS via Paypal gift.
  22. $6.99 shipped in CONUS via Paypal gift. SOLD
