I'm going through my collection.. Mostly NTSC, but I cannot remember where I got my set of Startpath games. I was curious if they were PAL or NTSC.

Guys, did anyone notice this? Check out this comic http://garfield.com/comic/2014-07-20 The comic title is nearly identical to the Atari 2600 Garfield Cartridge, SEE: http://atariage.com/screenshot_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=838 The color is slightly off, and facing a different direction. Is it possible that Jim Davis has an original cartridge, or possibly a more complete prototype? Or at least screenshots. Or did he hack the image from the internet. I think it's pretty cool regardless. What do you guys think? Joel

Need copacitors and resistors for Atari 2600 Hack.
Joel D. Park replied to Joel D. Park's topic in Hardware
I honestly have nothing right now.. :-) Just a soldering iron and some solder. It's a bad time of year for me to get inspired with christmas coming, :-) I didn't want to have to spend 6 dollars shipping for a few tiny parts. -

Bump one time... -
Hi all, I'm wanting to do the Atari 2600 Audio/Video hack. Sadly I don't have a Radio Shack close by and it seems that the resistors/copacitors can only be purchased in bulk on line. I was wondering if anyone had either of these they would be willing to sell or trade for?? I need 2 each of: (2) 2.0k ohm resistor (2) 0.1µF 50V Monolithic Capacitors I have some intersting things to trade. Off the top of my head: A Boxed Copy of Pick and Pile for Atari 2600 An Atari 2600 Defender Cartridge, signed by Rober Polaro I've got other boxed items and such, we'll work something out. Or I can always pay paypal. Thanks! Joel

Foreign Atari 2600 Carts: Interested?

Sounds awesome. I haven't decided if I even have the heart to break up my collection. Once I get them out and start taking pics we'll see how that goes. -
Foreign Atari 2600 Carts: Interested?
Joel D. Park replied to Joel D. Park's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Looks like there is some interest. I do think I have some V-Carts, but probably nothing you don' thave but you never know. I'll dig into this stuff soon and try and post some pictures. My wife and I do a youth camp starting on the 11th. Until after camp I'll probably be a little slow moving. -
Hi all, It's been a long time since I posted. I was thinking about cutting back my Atari 2600 collection a bit. I'd like to start with Foregin stuff, and work my way into Rare-but-no-fun games. I have a large collection of Brazillian and German Atari 2600 carts. Some of the brazillian games are unique only to brazil I think, but the lables are rough. Many labels are decent though. Then there is ton of other stuff. If someone wanted an immediate collection of Foreign games, I'd consider the whole lot in one sale. (But I'd need lots of good references for that). There are probably close to 100 foreign games. If I get some real interest I'll give you guys some details. I'm in the U.S.A. but made some friends overseas and in South America when I was in my Atari 2600 collecting prime. I have a bunch of: S.S. Quelle (may be the same as S.S.) Dactar (4 in 1 etc). Polyvox C.C.E. I.T.T Family Games (They're cool) (Some other companies include) Apple Vision Shock Vision Digivision Dynacom J.F. ?

Guys, I'm working on a game in bAtariBasic. I had a bunch of space left on my cart so I decided to add some title music. I'm getting a wierd thing however with a data statement. When I add a data statement see (musicdata), it shifts my playfield over for my bonus round. If you delete the bottom line of the musicdata data it will shift back. To get to the bonus, kill the bear once, then the next level, you'll notice the 4 holes in the middle aren't in the right places. default.bas Is there something special I need to do to keep this from happening??? Thanks, Joel

Guys, Back in the day, I bought 6 Classic Gamer Magazines. You can check out what I mean at www.classicgamer.com This is Volume 1, issue 1-6. I don't rememember why, but the first 3 are in Black-and-White, the Next 3 are in Full Color. Even though the first 3 are black and white, all magazines are very nice, and were produced by classic gamer, not printed by me. I'm taking offers on these. They want 10.00 just for the CD with these on it. Thanks, Joel

Common Cartridges for Homebrews
Joel D. Park replied to Joel D. Park's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
They mainly 2600 cartridges, maybe 2-3 7800 games with bad labels. Combat, Missile Command, Pacman, Asteroids. -
Hey guys! Is anyone still buying common cartridges for use in homebrews?? I've got a bunch I'm willing to sell. Probably 40 or so.

I'd placed this in the wrong forum. I'm moving it. I have a collection of Sears Cartirdges also a few other oddities. Nothing real rare, but space fillers for a collection. All are loose carts. I'll mention any condition issues: Non-Sears First: Atari Brain Games - Picture Label (Nice label, but black 7 in a circle in marker the middle.) Nice cart to fill a missing space though really the circle 7 isn't horrible. Atari Football (Realsports Soccer) - The funky one that says Football on the front and end label, but in small writing says "Realsports Soccer" and has the picture of the Soccer game on the front. Nice Label. SEARS Carts: SEARS - Pac-man, picture cart, looks just like Atari version only says Sears Telegames. Slightly dullish label with center hole slightly pushed though. SEARS - Asteroids, Text Label, Nice Label. SEARS - Tank-Plus, Text Label, Nice Label. SEARS - Missile Command, Text Label, Nice Label. SEARS - Night Driver, Text Label, Nice Label. SEARS - Arcade Pinball, Text Label, center hole punctured but label still nice. SEARS - Super Breakout, Text Label, Nice Label.

Atari 2600 Stuff for Sale, Thrust #10

Here's the pics! -
I moved this into the marketplace. You're right, the Thrust Setup is awesome. But alas, I'm running low on space and money. I have an original Thrust cart (just a cartridge), so I didn't need both setups.

OOPS, listed first in WANTED. Meant to be here. Hey everyone! It's school supply time, I trying to get rid a few things. I'm from Maryland, U.S.A., even though much of the stuff I'm selling is foreign. I'd rather not ship outside the U.S. Please buy in collections, I'll give you a much better deal. Here's what I've got. The biggie first: 1. I was like 2 years getting this, there were all kinds of issues getting them, and I don't remember what I payed for it. It's the Thrust+ Professional Combat Pack #10 of the release. It's all in a Custom Labeled Box It was assembled by Jah Fish, Cartridge by Hozer, and game written by Thomas Jentzsch. The main box (like 1 foot long and 6 inches high/wide) has a lable signed by Jah and Thomas. The labels all look very professional, it includes a Foot Pedal Controller (Gray, 3 pedals, sliders, and custom stickers), also Owers manual, Thrust Cartridge, Thrust Sticker, and a Foot Pedal Manual. I also have, 2. A video tape from the Classic Gaming Expo 2001, Highlights from the Entire Event (It's homemade, but has a nice label, I can't remember where it came from (sorry guys). 3. Atari Realsports Volleyball, Shirnkwrapped (Black and white box?). 4. Two: Atari Super Football Shrinkwrapped (Maroon Box) 5. Data Age Bermuda Triangle Shrinkwrapped 6. Starpath Communist Mutants from Space (Supercharger Tape), new in box, NO Shirnkwrap 7. Empty Boxes, Brand new I pulled the shrink wrap off them. NO GAME, Just box +Instructions/whatever else came in the box. For: Activision Robot Tank Activision Enduro Activision Decathalon 8. Starpath Fireball Shrinkwrapped 9. UBI Soft: Pick 'n Pile New In Box, No Shirinkwrap. 10. Activision Enduro, Shrinkwrapped 11. Starpath: Communist Mutants from Space (Shrinkwrapped). Ok, these are all loose games. I think they are PAL, but I'm not sure some many are from Brazil. Others from germany. 12. S.S. : Schnapp die Apfldiebe : Some scratches out of label, and a slight writing on it, but not as bad as it sounds. 13. CCE : Othello, picture of a warrior guy (not the generic label), Worn spots on label some rough spots. 14. S.S. : Schussel der Polizistenschreck : Nice Label. 15. S.S. : Bobby Geht Nach Hause : Pretty nice label. 16. CCE : Dodge Em, Red Car on Label (not the generic), screw holes showing and car rattles but ok otherwise. 17. CCE : Mr. Postman, White Cart, Green Label, worn label, but mainly where label bends to end label. 18. CCE : Space Jockey, Space Scene (not the generic), worn but ok label. 19. CCE : Bank Heist, Two Cars Ramming (Not the generic), front label good, end label worn in bend, but intact. 20. CCE : Commando Raid, War Scene (Not the generic label), screw holes, label looks ok but it's worn all over. rough feeling but it doesn't effect the picture.

This worked perfectly!! Thank you! Joel

Guys, I'm trying to do the basic math that will figure out where how a certain pixel on the screen would line up with a block on the playfield. For example, the playfield is like 32 blocks wide and the screen is 150 pixels (or something like that) wide. So a playfield block is every 4.68 pixels. I'm not exacly going to be able to do remainders/decimal math I don't think. Have any of you guys allready come up with this calculation. I'm close with something like this: temp1 = ballx/5 : temp2 = (bally - 39 ) / 8 + 5: pfpixel temp1 temp2 off But for division reasons there are certain playfield blocks I can't hit. Thanks, Joel

Hey! Shooting the Black Boxes (Ice Chunks) is a great idea! You guys have given me a ton of awesome ideas! Now I just gotta dig up the time to put them into place. I'm guessing the cart will become 8K.. No worries. Maybe even 16K, I need to read a bit more in the bAtari manual.
-
I was thinking about penguins. They would fit very well into the sprite limitations. So far, I've tried to keep the game under 4K because I kind of assumed there would be price differences between a 4k and 8k cartridge. I'd love to have a cartridge made in the future and offer the game on the Atari Age store.. I'm down to 126 bytes on my 4K cart so there's not alot more I can do there. I'll resarch a bit more on bankswitching and give it a go perhaps. Ohh, posibly I could do an animal coming up through the ice, and even an ice jumping level.. You bring up a very good point. It'd be nice to have a shot at that evil monkey.
