  1. I expected it to be really simple, but it's awesome. Really looks/plays good. One other idea, what if you could move up and down the buildings, and moving down to the bottom presented ground-level. Since you only have one other player sprite to work with, you could do a car, or someone running across the ground, instead of being in a window.
  2. Ok guys, I found a bug in my Bear Logic It kind of made him drift to one side of the screen this has been fixed. Also, I added new logic where at random intervals the bear comes toward the player. It's not a direct heat-seeking missle thing, more like a direction change. This breaks the repeating random pattern, but also adds some challenge. The aggression of the bear tward the player increases as the level does, so by like level 10 you're running for you life. flipout.bin Let me know what you think.
  3. I have considered keeping the bear from going high enough to be shot at the top edge. It's kind of a free shot because there are no holes in the ice there. However I'll take a look at the logic too.
  4. I finally got to try this game out. I loved Pitfall and Adventure too.. Very cool, once in a while something will jog me back to the early gamming days, can you imaging how cool this would have been released back in the 80's. There were so many games I used to play and play, just hoping they had an ending, or something new would happen.. (I was frying my atari system before it was called frying) I do agree the holes are hard, but I always thought they were hard on Pitfall too..
  5. I'll mess with this a bit. I thought things were totally random. I may have a double direction or something happening.
  6. hahahah.. A Dingleberry! I nearly busted a gut. It's supposed to be the Tranquilizer Dart, it's so you know the bear has been hit. It's like those cartoons that when ever someone shoots a dart it always sticks in someone's butt. I added special code for that, it's not a bug. Any other opinions on the Dingleberry? Hehe.
  7. Agh! I attached it I thought. Lets try again.. I haven't tried to attach to the forum, I see you have to also drag the link into the message, I'm sorry. flipout.bin Here's a screenshots too.
  8. Guys, I've nearly finished my first bAtariBasic game. The sound isn't the best, (I once saw a list of notes (a,b,c,d,e etc) vs. their Atari 2600 Register settings, I think that would help. I've taken up a good chunk of a 4k cartridge, I considered making it 8K and adding little animation sequences with penguins and stuff in between levels. Let me know what you guys think, I'm hard to offend so any suggestions are great. As I mentioned I'm running low on Cart space. I know I have some cleanup to do and could free some bytes. Use your IMAGINATION for the story line: You're the zookeeper, a crazed bear (name to be determined) has jumped into the penguin tank and is totally flipping out. You're chasing him down with a tranquilizer gun. When we say flipping out, the bear is flipping chunks of ice and making large holes to fall into. You've got to get the bear while dodging the holes in the ice.. To make matters worse, the tranquilzer doesn't work quickly even once you've scored a hit, it takes a while for the tranquilzer to kick in, then it's up to you just to keep from getting killed. If that's not enough, a monkey (name to be determined), an apparent friend of Mr. Bear, has decided to fling poo your way, in the higher levels. Good Luck!
  9. Hi guys, Wow it's been a long time. I've been out of the Atari 2600 Collecting Scene for 3 or 4 years. But I've held onto my collection. I was just looking over a few things for fun and ran across the Thrust Special Edition Game with the Foot Pedal in the big box from Jah Fish and Thomas Jentzsch. I have number #10 of I think 50. I was wondering if you guys can remember what we originally paid for these. If I'm remembering correctly the foot pedal came from Germany or something. I also remember the game arrived like a year or more after I ordered it there was a big stink :-) Just a neat piece of nostaliga, though it was only back 2002...
  10. I killed a Keystone Kapers cartridge by trying to fry it. It never worked again.
  11. Wow, thanks for the honest opinions. I'm starting to agree with you guys. A while back I sold out everything else but 2600 stuff, I just couldn't let it go. I haven't missed any of the other stuff even slightly. But the 2600 stuff is so hard to find, especially now days. I'm gonna hold on to it for a while. It may just get boxed up and hidden, I told my near future wife I was thinking of selling out and she didn't think it was a good idea either. I'll get some good plastic totes and store everything away safely. Thanks guys. Joel I'm still collecting.
  12. You're probably right. I may sell off all the very rares, foreign, and boxed stuff and keep one each of the playable more common games just for fun. Right now I may not sell at all. I just don't know. I'll take my time, I would rather get one big offer than break off my collection after it took years to put together.
  13. Hey Maxime, It's neat to see farmiliar names. You probably don't remember but way back in the day, I traded you a copy of Swordquest Waterworld for a collection of Zellers cartridges. I haven't haunted this forum for like 2 years.
  14. By the way, I'm in the U.S.A. West Virginia/Maryland line to be exact, Garrett Co, close to Deep Creek Lake to give more detail. My collection does contain quite a few Brazillian, hard to come by games and alot of Quelle stuff and freaky stuff.
  15. Guys, I collected atari games for quite some time. I started back when there were only a few people collecting. I own the domain name www.atari2600.net Here's my web page detailing the games I own. There is also one of each 2600 system and all accessories that go with each. Notice there are scans of almost everything so it would be easy to put it up for auction or sale or whatever. I've gotten a few new items since the page was updated but nothing that would really effect the value of the collection greatly. Below is the link, keep in mind the value of the homebrews and stuff. Anyone have any pointers words concerning selling a collection like this. Also I'll take offers or anything else. You can also email me privately at [email protected] http://www.atari2600.net/ViewAtari2600.htm
  16. Guys.. Cousin Vinnie made me an offer on the whole lot. I'm having a really hard time refusing. Thanks for everyone who posted.
  17. Vinnie.. What would you give me for the whole 7800 collection?? I'm getting offers on breaking it up but it would still be nice to sell out in one lot.
  18. Sorry Birdie.. no decisions yet.. I'm still kind of on the fence right now. The thought of selling everything at once is really kind of nice.
  19. Go ahead and put the offer right on this thread.
  20. Here's this collection again.. Make me offers on ether the whole collection or individual items.. Please keep all replies in this thread. If I get enough offers to make it worth breking the collection, I will do so. 21. Hey guys.. Anyone who wants this collection broken up.. How about making me offers on the games you want. I want to see if breaking it up is worth it or not. Thanks, Joel
  22. I'm selling my 7800 collection.. I'd posted in the marketplace, but two different folks are wanting me to quote the price. I really don't want to break up the collection yet. What do you guys think a fair price for this whole collection would be?? Thanks, Joel Here are the Loose Carts ----------------------------------- Choplifter Kung-Fu Master Super Skateboardin Fatal Run (Cart holes pressed but lable not torn) Mario Brothers (Label Relued Perhaps?) 23. I'm finally selling this.. I'm narrowing my collection to just the Atari 2600. I'm looking for fair offers on my 7800 collection. There are a ton of rare games, and actually all the hardest to find games have allready been found.. The games needed, Commando and Summer Games (Maybe a few others) aren't that difficult to find. Some games are loose, but there are tons of boxes, and the boxes with the exception of just a few are really nice, just un-shrinkwrapped quality. For now I want to keep the collection together for one sale. Make me offers to: [email protected] Here are the Loose Carts ----------------------------------- Choplifter Kung-Fu Master Super Skateboardin Fatal Run (Cart holes pressed but lable not torn) Mario Brothers (Label Relued Perhaps?) 24. Ok guys, more attic cleaning. Please make offers.. I don't care if they are absolutely rediculous. I really want to keep shipping within the U.S.A. I can ship stuff any way the U.S. Postal Service offers, but most items will ship Media Mail, that will save a ton of money for you. If an item won't ship Media mail I'll kick a few copies of Astroids into the package to make it legit. email offers to [email protected] ----------------------------------------------------------- * Pac-man Bed Spread and Curtians. These are old, and it shows. The curtans are kind of dingy (may just need cleaned), the bed spread top is fine, but the fuzz is all out of it on the bottom side.. I hate to throw these cool things away, but they can't stay here. * Really Nice 6-Switch Atari 2600 Setup.. (Not Heavy Sixer).. Two Great Atari brand joysticks, Oarnge Paint is barely worn, really light use. Good set of paddles, Phono-to-F Adapter, plus Switch Box. And Power Supply. * Parker Brothers Q*Bert Board Game, All Pieces, and the Box is pretty nice, just some corners worn. * Milton Bradley Pac-Man Board Game, All Pices but the box is pretty worn, but still intact. * Black Atari 2600 4-Switch Console. Works, Tested. Nothing but Console, nothing else. * Atari 2600 Jr. Console. Wide Rainbow, silver and black. Console Only, Nothing Else.. Works/Tested. * Woodgrain 2600 Console, 4-Switch, Works, Tested. Nothing but console. * CX40 Atari Joystick Dome Switches. These are for repairing joysticks. If all directions work but are sticky, these switches will take care of you. Around 100 Switches.. Also includes paper on how to install them into joystick. * Little Comic Book Collection: These comics are all in really nice shape, except for a few readings, they've remained in plastic and most are really quality.
